After my doctor's visit, I was craving some falafel and decided to visit this place since it's pinned on my google map. The restaurant is certainly clean and I like how it's in the open so you can see all the action and cleanliness. I ordered their falafel whole pita sandwich and was told I can add whatever choosing I wanted. I also ordered two sides of their falafel balls to enjoy. They were 3 balls for $1. As for the sandwich, I thought it only tasted okay. I was very hungry at that point so if I thought my sandwich was okay then I know I'm not a fan of it. The flavoring was bland, I asked for spicy sauce but didn't taste any. I also asked for the fried eggplants to find out as I'm biting into it that there was none. Make sure you watch them when asking for your choosing. They might now hear you and you'll just end up feeling disappointed like me because I love the taste of eggplants. I love me a good falafel pita, so I was pretty excited to try out Falafel Tanami when I was in the area. The menu is Kosher-certified and offers a vegetarian menu - I went for the Falafel Pita with extra hummus, fried eggplant (which are chunks, located next to the french fries), shredded red cabbage, tahini, and extra pickles. The sandwich itself was just okay - it was very bland, so not sure if this place uses salt or any type of seasoning at all. The falafel themselves are small and had a slight crisp exterior, but the inside was a bit more mushy and didn't have much of a taste. I was not a fan of the fried eggplant, as they were unseasoned and made the falafel pita even more mushy in texture - I wished they had baba ghanouj instead as an option. Staff members are friendly and try to keep the line moving; note that the 'locals' here seem to feel entitled and have absolutely no regard to a line that is already in existence - just call them out on their behavior, and you'll be fine. Wow! This place is a gem tucked away in Brooklyn. It's a bit far of a commute if you're in Manhattan but conveniently it's close to one of the subway station. We came on a Saturday morning right after they opened and there was no line. I got the full sized falafel pita sandwhich but honestly they stuff it so much one is big enough to share with two people. I probably would just get the half size next time. You can choose any ingredients you see on the counter including eggplants, fries, cabbages, pickled veggies, etc. Definitely make sure to get the pink minced garlic sauce, it's amazing! I asked them to put some of the pickled pepper and the baby picked eggplant on the side so I cans savor it later without overfilling my sandwich. I actually was never a fan of falafel until I ate the falafel pita sandwich here. It tasted so fresh and paired so nicely with all the sauces they have in house. The unlimited toppings also adds to the excitement as I'm a big fan of vegetables. They have small standing table area indoors as well as outdoor seating. The place is quite small so don't expect to always find seating so you might have to plan to take your food to go if it's too busy. The staff is super friendly. My biking group, queer joy ride ended our ride here last night and man I wasn't even hungry but the half falafel I got hit the spot. My husband has been raving about this place for a while now and told me he was bringing me the "famous falafel pita sandwich."
