Her trainer, Noel, was absolutely fantastic. He was patient, knowledgeable, and clearly experienced with working breeds like German Shepherds. When Mataya came home, the difference was incredible. She is much more obedient, focused, and well-mannered. You can tell that Noel really took the time to work with her and build a solid foundation. I am not one to write a review whether my experience was positive or negative, but I had to let other pet owners know. We trusted Hudson Training Facility with our dog, Blaze, and unfortunately our experience ended in a way no pet owner should have to go through. Before dropping Blaze off for a two-week board and train, I had met with Noel and specifically informed him that Blaze had previously broken his front leg. He had fully recovered and been cleared by the vet, but I wanted them to be aware of his history. He informed me he would keep an eye on him and make sure he did not do any strenuous training with him. During the first week, I received videos and updates showing his progress. Then I received a call from Noel telling me there had been an incident and that Blaze was not putting weight on his leg. When I arrived, I was told that Blaze had fallen off the grooming table while Noel had reached down to grab something from the floor. The whole story just sounded fishy to be honest. The fall resulted in Blaze breaking his leg in two places. Joseph (owner) sent me to the vet that they deal with and their doctor told me the break was too severe for his expertise and that Blaze needed a specialist. The vet I went to later explained that the severity of the injury was consistent with the height of the fall. What disappointed me most was how the situation was handled afterward. The owner initially downplayed the injury and said it was probably just a sprain and had the nerve to remind me about the liability waiver that I signed that waives ordinary negligence before we even knew the full extent of the injury. He even mentioned not going through insurance. What the contract does not waive is gross negligence, which is exactly what occured. Joseph ended up going through his insurance but I ultimately had to pay nearly $12,000 upfront for Blaze's surgery and treatment. I could not receive the settlement until Blaze was fully cleared which lasted months. That financial burden was incredibly stressful and could have been devastating for many families. I also requested an injury report and a written statement explaining exactly what happened, but I never received either. To this day, I still do not know exactly what happened. To top it off, when I picked Blaze up, he was dirty, his paws were dry, his nose was chapped, and he looked poorly cared for compared to when I dropped him off. Accidents can happen, but this felt preventable, especially if you are a professional training facility. The lack of accountability, communication, and documentation, is why I cannot recommend Hudson Canine Kennels to other pet owners. read more

Okay first off I did rave about this place on Instagram and Tik Tok but that's because I got the videos of my dog and he looked like he was doing so well. He was listening, he was following commands and seemed to be comprehending very well. It was because of the prong collar that was dugged into his neck whenever a command is given. Fast forward the two weeks...I was so excited to get him back and got instructions on how he was trained and to continue the training on my own. Now I don't have complaints on how they train, each person has their own technique however when I got my dog back with me alone, he was super anxious and scared. He wouldn't let me leave his side. Every time I got up he would get up too. Everywhere I went in the house he would follow. I get it because we've been apart for two weeks and he was afraid that I would leave him again. He really did not like the prong collar. He yelped one time when I took it off. It's not an easy collar to take off. I gave the prong collar a try for a few days and he listened but he was not the same happy dog that I was used to. He was withdrawn and did not let people approach him or touch him. He did not bark at all which was not him. He was also super skinny when I got him back, you can see his bones sticking out. They said he ate all the food I brought. I brought kibble, some home made food, treats and a new bag of fresh pet. I was told that he had completely finished all of his food. My dog doesn't eat a whole lot, so I was surprised that he had nothing left. I did not want anything back, I just know my dog doesn't eat that much and is very dry picky.l and hoped he was fed well. That part I'm not too sure on. When I got him back I did manage to weigh him and he was 4.6 lbs, he usually weighs about 5 1/2 lbs. He is now eating right and gaining his weight back but I still feel his bones. After a couple of days of using the prong collar I stopped putting it on him. He would lay where he was, very sad and distant. He didn't even want to play with my other dog, he just wanted to sit right by me when he had his collar. After leaving the collar off for several days now he has become a super happy and very playful puppy. He still obeys commands with treats of course. I don't think anything was wrong with the training my dog received. I think this place is for a dog who is a bit more mischievous and does not entirely listen. I also think it's more suitable for dogs of a larger size or breed or weight like my pit bull but she listens and is very mellow. I do appreciate the help that Hudson's Canine Kennels gave, unfortunately this did not work out for me or my dog. read more

We have a high energy belgian malinois who desperately needed help I remembered one of my girlfriends went to Hudson's canine with her disobedient dog that she adopted. She was beyond happy with the results she got, and progress her baby made to now be the amazing boy he is We've had Raven since she was two months old and we sent her away to the five week board and training program when she was five months old. The trainer "Noe" went above and beyond for our girl. He sent us training videos every couple of days along with explaining what he was doing and how to do it, so we can continue with her when she got home. Every video he sent we could really tell how comfortable and at ease she was. Her confidence was growing each week and it was so special to see. Noe loved on our girl from day one and we could really tell how attached she was to him even through videos. It's such a good feeling knowing that your fur baby is in good hands and is safe at her temporary home away from home Noe truly made it a great experience for Raven and us!! He took her to parks, neighborhoods, coffee shops and you could tell she was loving every minute of it. He totally socialized her with other dogs of all different breeds and sizes, and now she doesn't react to practically anything when we take her on walks or have her off leash throwing the ball. Her temperament is all around better, she knows how to control her mouth now, she plays way nicer not only with us but with other dogs and she's only seven months! Her obedience is all around completely improved and we couldn't be happier. We're super proud of how far she's come and can't wait to see her develop into an even better girl once she's fully grown. We believe Koal to be a mix of Lab, Rott, and Pitbull, so he's a big boy. My big item I wanted to improve with my puppy was jumping on people. I was in need of a train and boarding service for my 5 month old goldendoodle Phoebe. I searched for months. I even had hired a personal trainer for a day, but wasn't convinced. After two references from two friends that completed the course for their German Shepards and for boarding while on vacation, I knew Hudson's was it for us. I also liked what the program had to offer! Phoebe completed the 2 week board and train, and in the future will be back to complete off leash training. Moses and the team (sorry I cannot remember all the names of who helped with Phoebe) were so informative and knowledgeable. I've learned so much and feel a lot better teaching Phoebe myself at home. Also, we have boarded Phoebe while on vacation and I had peace of mind because they already know Phoebe, I know Phoebe is safe, and I can tell they genuinely love her! We originally brought Gunner over 2 years ago when he was just 6-7 months old for the 5 week board & train at Hudson's Canine. The team did such a great job with working on his basic commands and perfected his heel on his walks. We felt it would be a good time to do a little refresh on his training now that he will be almost 3 years old, and we are so glad we did! We enrolled him in the 1 week board & train refresher and once again, they did a great job in re-implementing all of his commands and tightened up his heel. I was able to get some more training and understanding how Gunner responds to the e-collar which will be much more helpful in communicating with him and his behaviors. We entrusted our 11 month dog Rolik to Hudson's Canine Kennels. So glad others have had a good experience. I thought mine would be the same. I have a good boy who just had separation anxiety issues and unfortunately this program didn't help, perhaps worsened the problem. My dog came back so skinny, had terrible diarrhea for days after, which I'm sure was due to the adjusting back home but for me that wasn't worth it, and now he is having pee accidents in the house (although they seem intentional because his is 100 percent house trained for a year and a half. He is 2 years old.) I'm so bummed I spent 2K to basically get a worse dog back. To summarize, anxiety is worse, still pulls like crazy on the leash, had diarrhea for days, and now is peeing in the house. Freaking great. This program isn't for every dog so just make sure you are ok with this possible outcome before committing. Also your dog WILL get kennel cough in a place like this so be careful with your younger puppies. Mine got it here when he was under a year old and he was fine but it was not easy to deal with a sick puppy. Honestly the people here were nice and I wanted to be happy but not one good thing came out of this program. I would look into smaller operations. For example my friends used a board and train that specialized in their breed, was for 2 weeks also, around the same price and they got a literal angel dog back. Updating review to state that he had a UTI.. so I'm not sure how he got that but no behavioral peeing inside issues. So adding stars for friendly trainers and owner, timely response to my review. Just wish it was more clear that throwing money at dog training doesn't equal a trained dog after 2 weeks. read more

This was the first time I've ever put one of my dogs in a professional training program. Barkley, (5 month old German Shepard) was very responsive to their methods and came home noticeably different. Entire staff exceeded all expectations and even spent a little time training ME too! I've learned it's important to be repetitious with the methods to keep driving home the desired behaviors. I hate to leave this review, but I feel so bad for my dog I have to. This review is for the conditions, communication, and mistreatment of my dog. I signed my dog up for the two week board and train program. During the training, two days in I received a call that my dog had spilled his water in the middle of the night and stood in it, and had a raw paw because of that but was healing and not an issue. The next day I texted and asked how his paw was doing. They replied the next day and said, "sorry for the delay, but his paw is doing good!" So, okay I thought. It seems like he's okay and not a big deal, must be something that happens and they know how to handle it. I was wrong. The two weeks goes by, and I go in to pick up my dog this afternoon. Do a quick walking exercise with one of the trainers but the entire time I cannot focus because I'm noticing how skinny he is, he lost so much weight, and all of the sores on his body and legs. I was so thrown off I could hardly speak. I mentioned his weight and was said that they stopped feeding one of the wet foods because it gave him diarrhea. Something I believe I should have been called about, I would have brought something else. I get him home and the sores are much worse than I could originally see. He's bleeding from multiple areas, some are deep and extremely raw. He was shivering when I tried to put ointment on, I know they hurt very much. I dropped him off 100% healthy and fine, he's never had anything like this happen before. I was never called about any of these wounds. I would have taken him home to let him heal before they got as bad as they are. I don't believe this is normal or humane. If it is, I want no part of it. I will be taking him to the vet first thing in the morning. I'm very worried. If your dog is here, beware and ask for daily updates. read more

I paid for 8 private lessons. First lesson was an awesome introduction & my husband joined me and our dog. On our second visit at Hudson I went alone with my dog. During the session the trainer couldn't get my dog into the kennel successfully with the rope slip or prong collar. As I monitored everything the trainer never aggressively hurt my dog however; both dog and trainer were so very stubborn as the trainer never gave up. This act of trying to get my dog into the kennel happen for over 45 mins and was very hard and disturbing to watch. I personally did not stop it because I felt the trainer knew best, Hudson was very well-known & trusted and I was also giving this training lesson an honest shot. Over the 45 mins my dog was resist so bad that she threw up foam, exerted her anal glands (poop everywhere) and popped blood vessels in her eye. Her throat was sore raw as her bark was different and raspy. (I did take her to the vet immediately after the session.) The next morning she was not herself herself, anxiety level was high, she didn't trust me and her tail stood between her legs. A week later, she started to get scabs all over her neck from the prong collar which pierced throug her skin. I reported it to the owner of the facility and he was very apologetic, quick to respond & gave me a full refund. This review took me over three months to write. Mostly because I was ashamed and embarrassed that I did not stop the session and allowed this to happen. My dog & I have healed physically and mentally. But I wouldn't want any other dog and owner to experience what we went through... Overall rating I would definitely not recommend Hudson K9. Save your money and self train because there's no one can train your dog better than yourself! read more

Recently completed private training sessions for my 2 dogs: Simba (3yrs old) & Nala (5 months old). Both had 4 weeks each and was able to do a payment plan and get the training started. When he was 4/5 mths we did the beginner training at petsmart. Hoping this would help with walking and it did not. We were highly recommended to try Hudson's Canine kennels. We are so happy we decided to give them a chance! Cozmo gain conference and walks like a gentle behave dog ! WALKS & OUTDOORS DAYS ARE GREAT NOW ! Even at home things have change. We will use the commends to be able to do work while he just hang out with us instead of jumping on our backs ! Lol Communication was always open Questions were always answered We did get videos of our baby Pick up was very informative, show us and correct us how to properly walk him. DOG LOVERS BEWARE!!! Boyfriend's parents dropped off a healthy 4yr old dog for boarding and 3 days later received a dog with bloody paws, abscesses on his legs, and a beaten spirit. Once home, my bf noticed the dog's bloody paws and he called Tim to ask about them. Tim had no knowledge of any bloody paws. They notified Tim that they had to take him to the vet and he texted back that he'd help pay a portion. They told him that the vet quoted $2,500 (there was surgery involved to drain the abscesses), and that's when Tim got defensive and said no way that could've happened with him and that it must have been an existing condition. He demanded that they send him a picture of the bill, and they did. It's been almost a month since that awful day, no response or check in the mail from the Tim. Backstory: Their dog is an indoor dog, and I bought their parents a $600+ robot vacuum for Xmas that specializes in dog fur. I'm pretty sure he didn't get those abscesses from their house. And considering their house always smells like Glade, I'm absolutely sure the abscesses weren't from their house. Also, the other dog they had didn't have any abscesses. We left her with my mom and she came back a happy pup. ps...he uses negative reinforcement training. pps...he tried to sell them a shock collar for $180 to help "train" him. --In response to the business owner's comment below, please see the attached images. We primarily chose this place because they said they could handle aggressive dogs. And it took a while for the vet bill because the vet gave it to us at the end of treatment. The costs included an overnight stay at the vet because of the surgery. We also had to convince his parents to even let the trainer know that something had happened to the dog. They were afraid of retaliation, they grew up in a time when that used to be the norm. My bf had called them and asked what they'd recommend for the dog's limp and they said that it's hard to recommend anything because every dog is different. My bf also never mentioned anything about a nail causing his limp...maybe it was another unhappy customer they're confusing us for...? As for waiting for a few days before they took the dog to the vet, my bf had informed them that they were observing the dogs behavior for a few days before they had reached out to him because (1) they didn't want to think it could be from the kennel and (2) normally you give dogs a couple of days before you take them to the vet to observe their behavior. Anyways, we're not looking for money. We're just letting people know our experience with this kennel. We were highly disappointed that such a highly starred business had scarred their dog emotionally and physically. Please remember, they own 2 dogs and only 1 required surgery after our vacation. read more

Our family is so happy we chose to take our pitbull mix, River to Hudson's Canine Kennels. We can finally take her for walks and she is more obedient, calm and focused after her training. Her trainers were Noe and Allison and they were AWESOME! Thanks to the training techniques Noe taught us, River is always ready and excited to continue her training with us at home. We are ALL calmer and more excited to do things with her because we know we can now control the situation and River is responding FANTASTICALLY! Noe and Allison were in contact with us on a weekly basis on River's progress via video and if anything would come up, they would call us immediately.
