I work in finance, and needless to say reliability and performance are of the utmost concern when selecting a PC manufacturer. After 25+ years of building my own systems, I decided to purchase a Talon about 4 years ago. It runs 24/7, using 32gb of ram and 25-30% CPU at workload idle during market hours (4 monitors and 60+ live charts). I love it so much that I just purchased a new Talon which is in build. After checkout I contacted the sales team, as I decided to make a few more upgrades. They were extremely accommodating, and didn't hassle me about the after purchase changes. So I've decided to take down my previous reviews and just give them five stars. Reason being they really will take care of your system if there is a problem even if it takes a while (like 2 weeks to a month is a normal turnaround time if you send it in). As for whether I will buy from them again? Probably not, unless they start selling full towers that are easier to work with. The mid-tower Talon packed with a 3090 is too cumbersome to open up and work on for me, plus to change the cooler you need a lot of rubber loops to put the fans back into place after the installation. I've mostly worked with full towers when I used to build my own so small work areas are frustrating. I'm still not sure on their alignment of the computer parts but I guess I can give them the benefit of the doubt. I would really like to commend their team for being patient and not reacting when being pushed or prodded. read more

This action resulted in a complete erasure of all my data! I immediately called Tech Support. Jon Yoder patiently walked me through a "System Recovery" process by which most of my data. Absolutely love them. They built a custom desktop for me a couple years ago and it's everything I could have hoped for and then some. It's an absolute tank and the build quality is top notch. Additionally, the customer service and support team are incredible. I screwed something up in my bios nearly 2 years after purchasing and they got back to me right away, walked me through exactly how to fix it in great detail, over the phone, with incredible patience and kindness. I purchased a Tiki about 9 years ago. Just got a new Talon. The customer service is excellent (Jake, Rob), I used them many times to upgrade my Tiki and troubleshoot problems. My only gripe is they're not 24/7. If you're mega rich then look no further and immediately buy a Falcon NW. I'm not mega rich but I'm doing okay. I buy Falcon NW because 1. I don't want to deal with computer problems without good customer support 2. I hate dealing with the BS of buying a computer and faulty parts 3. the Tiki and Talon are beautiful in themselves, kind of like buying an Hermes bag I'd imagine if I were into bags Good luck. read more

My Tiki (~$5000 build) crashes a lot during games and their customer service leaves *a lot* to be desired. it's like they haven't updated it for what any modern consumer buying anything online would expect, much less someone spending a lot of extra money on what is supposed to be a premium product. They want you to go through tons of troubleshooting on the machine (which I did once, 36 email chain to show for it with no progress) and then if you decide to send it in they want you to pay for it! Honestly they should replace my machine, but not wanting to pay for shipping/insurance back to them its truly astonishingly bad/shameful. This machine was a complete waste of money and has had more issues than both of the computers I built for myself previously. Cannot recommend anyone get anything from these guys. It's really sad actually, as I had wanted a falcon nw pc since I was like 13 years old and only more recently could actually afford one. I'm assuming all the 5 star reviews just didn't have any issues with their machines yet. I wish those users the best of luck and hope they don't have to go down the tech "support" hole. read more

I built my own computers for two decades. I had some money come in and I thought I would splurge as a gift to myself as a 40-something, so I bought a Tiki. 4 years later and after very light gaming for those 4 years (maybe 2-5 hours a week) the thing is in permanent reboot mode and I am out of warranty. I've used their rescue drive, done every software trick in the book, etc. to no avail. To be fair, I did have them provide a standard overclock from the factory, but the systems really never got pushed and I disabled the OC in bios a year ago. Meanwhile all my home built systems from before I bought the FNW PC are running fine. I love the FNW brand and what they are trying to do, but once you get out of warranty you're really in a pickle. While you're in warranty--and afterward--their support is great. But I've come to the conclusion it's not worth the premium for their products given warranty periods and how fast the underlying tech changes. You're better off with a big box manufacturer and a lower price if things are going to go bad. APRIL 2020 UPDATE: The company has done a nice job of trying to get me to send the system back but can't do anything during the pandemic. read more

I've purchased two computers from FNW over the past eight years. My first Talon is still running, with some upgraded components that their customer service people helped me choose long after the warranty was over and there was no reason to give me advice or walk me through anything other than valuing a customer. My second system arrived a month ago, and is everything I expected from a system to be used both for work and for gaming: top performance, silent, and visually attractive, even for a big tower like the Talon (which now has a very nice redesign). Great Company, great computer, great support! I bought the Talon for my son so he could use Oculus Rift gaming system, and couldn't be happier with the purchase. The system is amazingly fast and powerful. It handles all the advanced graphics and resource intensive VR requirements for the Oculus like a beast. The system, also, came in a great case and various complimentary gifts, which included a nice t-shirt and coffee mug. We called tech support to help with configuration, and the tech was fantastic. 1. Ordered computer: stated 17 days to build. 2. While I was waiting on the build I had questions about the components used in the build. 3. Customer service became defensive and combative and never really answered my questions. 4. Its been 21 days and they still have yet to complete the build. 5. It seems a lot like retaliation for questioning build components. 6. Horrible customer service. While can certainly appreciate being swamped, workload was not communicated to me anytime during the wait period. In fact, the ship date was stated twice in the email communication. Furthermore, I clearly communicated a business was reliant on the build and could not afford delays. Again, there was no communication from Falcon NW regarding a delay at any point of the dialog or on the status of the build. Help me understand how this is customer centered service and not to be construed as retaliatory? In the end, I will be losing money and do not have the option to wait for another company to build a computer. Glossy sock puppet reviews from so-called expert sites speak to the effort made to produce a perfect product - for the review, but do not speak to the actual experience. The seasoned company has lost its way and only seems to cater to critics - not the average customer. Will I receive this same dismal service and support if there's a problem? I would give them 5 stars if I was just rating the customer service I recieved from Mathew, their tech support manager. We bought a bunch, more than 20, Tiki computers from Falcon. The computers are built well, very solid, preform well, etc... Unfortunately the particular ASRock mother board that came in most of them has been a bit of a disaster for us. Under heavy loads over an extended period of time a known defect in the mother board causes the systems to start shutting down randomly. This isn't Falcon's fault, and when they realized this was not an isolated incident they were quick to help make things right. Had it not been for the defective motherboard in the series, and the nearly hundred man hours my team put into troubleshooting these prior to sending them out for repair, they would get 5 stars. read more

I purchased a Talon PC from falcon NW a couple of months ago. I had some specialized specifications and I called to talk to a consultant. The person I talked was very nice and took down all of my requirements and verified everything I ordered. My main requirement was that they partition the SSD drive into exactly 100 GB for C:, 100 GB for D: and everything else for E:. The Falcon rep took everything down and verified without question that this information would make it to the build team. I received my Talon a couple of weeks later packaged very well with everything in the box. The packaging and attention to detail in the binder is very well done and impressive. I turned on the computer and everything was super-fast. The hardware looked great. I looked at the drive partition and the C: drive was 118 GB the D: drive 100 GB and the E: drive everything else. I called them up and talked to the person who was responsible and he took responsibility for the mess up. He asked me if he could send me some swag for the mix up but everything he offered Falcon had already sent me in the box. I asked for something of value like money off the computer or a game and I heard nothing back. It's my time that I have to spend to fix the computer that they didn't configure properly. I know it's not a big deal re partition these drives but I expected much better from Falcon. When I pay a premium of 30% for anything I expect 2 things. 1. The engineering should be noticeably better than the competition and 2. The service should be noticeable better than the competition. I did not receive the first one. And I did not receive satisfaction. The very unfortunate thing about this whole transaction was that I took away the feeling that Falcon NW just didn't treat me like I was riding in a Cadillac. They treated me like I was riding in a Toyota. When I pay a premium I expect to be treated like it. That means everything throughout the whole process. I hope they get their act together because with the whole PC market is starting to die as tablets and phones replace them. I see questionable times ahead for a company that doesn't treat people at the same level that they are charging them. read more

For many years since I purchased my Falcon N.W. these guys in the tech dept. have helped me so much that I'd be a fool not to buy my next computer from them and will. Want a personal time with very educated and professional techs for lifetime on your computer? Techs that can remote connect if needed (despite what other person said). I'd say this exceptional tech service is worth almost more than the cost of the computer. If you Really rely on your computer and/or are a gamer these guys know their stuff and will get you up and running with very knowledgeable tech support. These computers are assembled in the US and tech support is in the US. You are paying for this and for cutting edge components. If you buy an assembly-line Dell, you will pay less but will communicate with tech support in India. I bought a top of the line Falcon a few years ago and have had some issues with the components but for me it's worth it because when I talk to tech support, we are on exactly the same page. read more

Falcon-NW has some of the best, most professional support people I've ever dealt with. Unfortunately, there's a reason for that. If you're investing over two thousand dollars in a high end gaming PC, I believe it's reasonable to expect a premium experience and an excellent product. I got neither from Falcon-NW. I had high hopes and expectations for the 'Fragbox' from Falcon NW. I ordered online; choosing to upgrade to a dual video card system. First issue: their online 'configurator' tool is only so good. After doing the online purchase to the tune of $2350, I got pinged by a sale person advising that there was a mismatch between the two video cards and my only option was to go with two of the more expensive card: the less expensive card (an NEVADA GTX 750) was "unavailable" for both slots. That should've been a clue. The system arrived on time with a nifty little pleather folder full of cables, etc. Unfortunately, when I booted the machine up, one of the two upgraded video cards wasn't working. I tried multiple things to fix it before calling Falcon Support. Support told me that the card 'probably came unseated during shipping.' After disassembling half the machine trying to fix the problem with the support tech's directions, I called halt at "OK, now we need to remove the liquid cooling system." At that point I said I wasn't comfortable and was told the only other option was to return the box to them to be fixed. I advised I was thinking more of refund and was told that refunds were handled by someone that would call later. The customer rep who called was excellent: focused, and willing to make things right. I let myself be talked out of refund and to let them try to fix things. A big part of that decision was the datapoint that Falcon would pay for all shipping for fixing one of their machines, but returning for refund costs were on me. Plus licensing costs. Basically, returning the box would cost me around $200. So I gave it a shot. Mistake. The next Fragbox showed via overnight delivery. On this box, both video cards worked perfectly. However, both the front side USB ports were non-functioning and, a new one for me: the computer's system clock was broken and would run for more than 5 minutes or so before shutting off. I mean, serious, a system clock is broken? I sent off an email requesting instructions to return the box for a refund. I was advised that both the USB ports and system clock had been tested before leaving their shop and had likely become damaged "during shipping." Sure, why not. So, after investing almost $2500, plus the time to build and rebuild the PC, plus ship time, I was left in a pretty rotten position: No high end PC and over $200 poorer just for having tried Falcon-NW's products. Falcon gets good reviews on their machines, I can only assume they hand deliver their machines to reviewers in order to ensure they don't get broken "during shipping." It's really too bad that Falcon Northwest's shipping and assembly departments aren't anywhere near as skilled as their customer service. read more

My husband bought me a Falcon NW PC for Xmas 2 years ago. It is a real screamer. I typically run 100-120 fps w/zero lag on WoW. Win 10 auto download patch caused a glitch "blue screen of death". It would occur most often during longer gaming sessions (over 2 hrs). Then last week we had an electric outage x 2. Afterward my PC failed to recognize the mouse. I switched peripherals and tried everything I could think of but, no mouse. I made my very 1st call to Falcon NW customer service. I spoke first to Jonathan Moore. He was so patient and helpful. I could not find my restore disk. He walked me thru creating a flash drive restore disk. We tried to restore the PC but the files were corrupt. He literally spent 2 hrs working on this problem with me. His weekend began today & I was passed to another technician, Daniel. We created a new flash drive restore disk and he walked me thru the restore. There were a couple of glitches (probably on me) but, my PC is restored, my mouse is recognized and I was not charged. When you think about the cost of a PC consider customer service. Falcon NW customer service transcends the superlative. When I buy another PC, it will be a custom built Falcon Northwest.
