09/12/26 - I saw this last night on Yelp & knew I had to check it out. I saw a picture of Falcons Pork Tenderloin w/green apple Cole slaw & knew I had to have it. This is one of best sandwiches Ive had in a long time. The pork tenderloin was fried in buttermilk to the perfect crunchy texture w/the interior pork tender & moist. Add the green apple coleslaw for a great crunchy texture, the yellow mustard to add the perfect vinegary flavor & you have an awesome meal. This comes w/fries cooked to an excellent crunchy texture. They have a pretty extensive menu but this sandwich was so dam good I'm sure I will order it again. Yolanda was the server in Falcons. She did an awesome job being the only person working the dining room at the time. Look at this menu selection. There are so many items but you know how it is when you find something that is for me near perfection you know anything else you order will not live up to what you had. You will be left thinking that you had stayed w/the original option. Like they say once you've had the best why try the rest. Maybe after eating it multiple times I will be willing to try something else. read more

This little gem is a must try. My personal favorite is the chicken caesar wrap, but I've been happy with their sandwiches and burgers. They offer a student and teacher discount during the week, but even without it, the prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food. The owner-chef, who previously worked for Eatly, also serves a variety of pasta dishes and gelato. They have a rotating soup menu and seasonal specials. During November, you don't want to miss the thanksgiving sandwich. I'm looking forward to finally trying the gelato this summer. read more

I'm into sandwiches because I love sandwiches - I love the sensation of a nice crunch with meat, veggies, cream, spiciness and sourness and sweetness too. So, a family member said, "Have you been to Falcon's?" I said, "No, where's that at?" She said, "It's by Lawrence and Damen, by Del Sur." I replied, "Ok, I'll check them out." So, Imma man of my word. So, we were there the next day.... So, probably next time, I'll have them add avocado to my pork tenderloin. I added a little Cholula sauce and that sandwich was truly legit as it hit all of the above mentioned attributes of an excellent sandwich. Although the crunch was from the tenderloin batter and not from the bun. The steak salad was perfecto - the meat could have been a little more rare but no gristle whatsoevah. For extra protein, we ordered a side of grilled chicken - once again, that was very nice - kudos to the chef!! BTW - we'll be back, Falcon's, you haven't seen the last of me, I'll be swooping down like a Peregrine next time imma around. Great service by the lady. And, I'm also OCD and this place is very neat and clean, including the men's room. So, we walked by Del Sur for dessert, and fugetaboutit!! There were like 20 people in line?? I passed Falcon's on the street one day while I was hungry and decided to pop in for lunch. In the spirit of food trends, I chose a chicken ceasar wrap -- it was good! But the show stopper was the fries -- which were REALLY good! Service was kind and fine but it felt like it took a while for the food to come out, especially since they only had a few other tables. It's a pretty big restaurant with lots of seating. The milkshake menu in particular caught my attention and I'd love to try one in the future! I was in the mood for a sandwich and this place came highly rated....we were not disappointed. The server was friendly & made sure we had everything we needed. I started off with the potato soup which was creamy & delicious. Perfect for a chilly day. The buffalo chicken wings were fantastic. If I'm being honest, they far exceeded my expectations. They were a decent size, had good flavor, and had a nice crispiness. I had the turkey sandwich and my husband had a bacon cheeseburger. Found this on Yelp while seeking out lunch. Old building, interior and signs ... however I say that in the best, most charming way. Our chicken cheesesteak was really good, on a great soft bread. My buffalo chicken wrap was also good, I only wanted it a tad more spicy (more buffalo less ranch perhaps?). Fries were delicious. I wish we lived closer cause this would be our SPOT. Went to afalcons today for lunch, around 1pm and had a great meal!. Best kept secret in Ravenswood! There weren't too many other diners in there which made it all the better for us and our waitress was so sweet! I had the pork tenderloin sandwich with the apple coleslaw on a brioche bun and my friend had the salmon sandwich with an egg on top and they were both absolutely delicious and cooked fresh! They came out quickly and Both came with sides of fresh cut fries! They told us they have been opened for almost two years!! If you're looking for a really good fresh cooked meal, give Falcons a go! To me, the simple decor and the outside signage does not match the high quality of their cooking! They also have a good large selection of gelatos and milk shake but we were too full to try them. My favorite smashburger and fries plus milkshake cheat meal is at Falcon's. Wings are awesome too. Everything is made to order and the ingredients taste very fresh. Food is prepared well. Burger is seasoned well, juicy and yet crispy around the edges. Fries are have great potato flavor and crispy without being greasy. I normally feel milk shakes are too sweet in restaurants, but Falcons's espresso milk shake was so BOMB. It was creamy, perfect espresso flavor and dairy forward. After hitting 100% on everything we ordered, I am excited to try all the other items on their menu like fried chicken sandwich, pasta, soups, etc. Top it all off...Carla is the sweetest and one of the most kind servers in Chicago! Friends and I have lunch for the first time here today. Very good! I had a buffalo chicken wrap friend had a sandwich that had chicken breast and bacon on it. I was craving a burger and hear many good things about Falcon's from neighbors. I called for takeout on a Sunday evening and had an overall good experience. There is metered parking around the restaurant and it seems fairly easy to find a spot. Ordering was a breeze and the staff working were very pleasant to interact with. I thought the chalkboard behind the counter was a cute touch. You can see it from any seat in the restaurant. One thing I was amazed by was that even after a 15 minute walk back to my place, my order remained HOT. Very impressive given most takeout usually loses warmth the second you leave! The food is definitely tastes like that local diner food a chain can't replicate. Only thing I wouldn't order again is the mozzarella sticks. One was crushed at the bottom and was slightly disappointing to only get four for $8. Definitely not $2 a stick worthy. They almost tasted freezer burnt with a sweetness that mozzarella sticks shouldn't have. The burger was fantastic! So were the fries! Here is where I felt I got a great bang for my buck. The burger and the toppings were generously sized and tasty. I agree with others who said that you get a lot of fries and there were fries to save for leftovers. No complaints here! Incredibly underrated place! I heard someone say they have great fries so we decided to check it out around 8 on a Saturday night. Service was quick and friendly. They have a nice variety of diner faves and great sounding specials. I had a smashburger with grilled onions, pepperjack cheese and a delicious savory tomato jam. The fries were AWESOME. We also had some fried pickles which got a little soggy, though this can happen when you get fried pickle spears. There was no one in there (although it was a gross, humid night overall) which made me sad because it's such a cute place with nice food! I will definitely be back and will have to get a milkshake next time. They look soooo good. read more

The sandwiches here are delicious! My friends and I ordered a larger order that included several wraps, sandwiches, and even a hamburger. I really personally liked the Buffalo chicken wrap. I found the veggie sandwich to be a bit soggy. Overall everyone seemed to like the food though which was great. The younger male who had me pay at the counter didn't seem to be very talkative or friendly, but it was earlier on a Saturday when no one was there yet. By the outside, Falcon's Handcrafted Sandwiches is so unpretentious. You wouldn't even know it's there unless you walk by it. Total low key, casual and food is very good. Aside from handcrafted sandwiches, they also offer salads, pasta and other items on menu. Speaking of menu, it's pretty balanced in terms of choices they offer. I believe there's something for everyone. Service is friendly and polite. Ambiance is nice too, music plays in background at a low volume, spacious and clean. While I was there, I noticed there are a lot of "orders to go", people coming in to pick their orders, which makes sense for those business in the area and many people working from home. Overall, I recommend for a good quick lunch or meet up with friends. There's street parking and several bus route near by. Oh, did I mentioned they are BYOB? Yes! I am from Indiana so I know a good Pork tenderloin sammy. My wife mentioned this place bcs the pork tenderloin sandwich was a popular item here. So met a friend from church there last week. The fries were the highlight of the meal as it's hard to find quality hand cut fries imho. My daughter thoroughly enjoyed her shake & her & my wife damn near fought over it. This places portions sizes are so huge. Been a few times and eaten there but we get it delivered a lot. The grilled chicken is very good. It comes quick. All sandwiches come with fried so they are a pretty good deal for the city. But I really wrote this review to beg for the shrimp sandwich to come back!!! Very unassuming from the outside and we actually walked past it at first. The outside and the decor on the inside certainly wasn't what we were expecting, but a perfect example of, "don't judge a book by it's cover." The food here was excellent. I had the buffalo chicken wrap which is right up there with some of the other great buffalo chicken wraps I've had. My wife had the turkey wrap and said it was one of the best wraps she's ever had. After not being served at Red Hot Ranch, we went to Falcon's. Nice, comfortable booth seating and OK ambiance. I had the hamburger and my wife had the Black and Blue Burger. Bother were very good. The hand-cut crisp fries were as good as you can get. They weren't even over salted like most places. My wife had the gelato and said she loved it. We will definitely go back. I decided to try this place given all the positive reviews. Ordered delivery of the Greek Salad, Tomato bisque, fried shrimp sandwich, and the mozarella sticks. The visual impact of the food was great but the greatness stopped there. The only redeaming dish was the tomato bisque. The mozzarella sticks were so bland even after I salted them up quite a bit. The shrimp in the sandwich was also bland and weirdly fried and full of breading. Looks like they took shrimp pieces and fried them vs. Whole shrimp. They had zero seasoning and just tasted weird. I threw out the sandwich and the mozzarella sticks. The Greek salad was also pretty bland as the dressing had no acidity or seasoning. Giving 2 stars because the portions are large and ingredients are fresh and the delivery was timely. Perhaps other items are better but I personally don't plan on taking that chance. read more

Yolanda demonstrated the sincerity and compassion when assisting myself. Falcons give you a family vibe a spot where you can come in away from the heat and have a cold glass of freshly squeezed lemonade, or a cool cup of Gelato. This restaurant has a vast amount of sandwiches from burgers,paninis, wraps soups, salads, baked goods, etc Falcons exceeded my expectations and the service from Yolanda was superb. This place opened just before Christmas, I think, but I haven't had a chance to pop in yet. It's within a couple blocks of my home and though there have been many restaurants in this location (and next door) in the decade-plus that I've lived here, I haven't actually been interested in the ones there before. We ordered a few things to get a taste for it. The chicken sandwich, BLT, and chili all came home with me in addition to a couple milkshakes. I was really, really pleased with the BLT because I forgot to ask for the bacon to be well done, but it was actually already well cooked, not a bunch of flimsy, half-cooked meat. It shouldn't be something that deserves praise at a restaurant but so many don't actually cook bacon thoroughly that I have to give props to those that do! I liked the chipotle may in place of standard mayo; it isn't all that hot but it adds a nice flavor. They also don't use too much mayo, which is a big problem at many places that do a BLT. I didn't have any of the chicken sandwich but it was good too. I really like the bread they used for both, too. The portions were large. Sandwiches come with French fries, an there were a lot of them. I struggled to finish everything. Milkshakes were good, though I understand the black cherry was not quite as strong cherry flavor as might be expected. The restaurant was clean, and service was fine. The owner's teens were running the front and got everything correct--the chicken sandwich for a picky eater didn't have anything it wasn't supposed to. I would eat here again (or have takeout from here again), and would be curious to give their weekend breakfast a try, too. read more

Great new lunch spot! It's a sandwich-oriented diner with a very friendly, mom-and-pop vibe. We stopped in Saturday at 2pm, and the place was mostly empty. Service was great, the people are super friendly. We got the Italian sausage sandwich and the BLT, both were great, and it was one of the better BLT's I've had in a while. We've collectively been sleeping on this place. It's amazing. My family went there for dinner the other night, and everything we had was sensational. If you want fancy ambience, go elsewhere, but this is sort of on the Kuma's Corner vibe (without the metal) in that it's not a fancy place, but the food is unusually good. read more
