MY Mother and her dogs and me with my Cats have been going here for decades. The most knowledgeable Vet on Earth.

If you want a caring, no bullshit, available Doctor, this is your vet. Not sure what there is unhappy to be about here. I don't want my vet with frills and fluff, I want someone who is available and can take care of my pet. If you do, too, this is your place!

Dr. Jody is straightforward; tells you like it is and is very supportive. Never have a problem getting an appointment and she is very informative and responsive to all questions!

    This is my buddy Louie
    Dianna D.

Yep My little man Louie was back at Fallbrook veterinarian again today. Louie has been coughing a lot and again has diarrhea. I was concerned that he might have a growth in his throat but I was so wrong-:(. Dr. Jody said his throat is fine and she wanted to do a chest X-ray, which of course I approved. Dr.Jody also said she wanted to give him IV fluid. Louie chest X-ray showed that his heart is enlarged and he needs to go on heart medication and to stop his kidney formula diet and start him on a heart formula diet. Its a very sad day for me, Louie is my little buddy and I don't want to lose him. Dr.Jody said she'd do her very best to keep him here a while longer. Louie has always gotten the best care possible at Fallbrook Veterinarian and Dr.Jody has provided the best care as though Louie was her own. Her staff are always kind, professional. I've lost track of how many years Louie has been her patient but it's been many and for that I'm so Thankful for Dr.Jody as well as her staff. I pray that Louie will continue for more years. We don't always like the results of what a Doctor tells us but I do know my Louie has always received the best care and never once did I feel like I was taken advantage of, in fact it's always been the opposite !!!! Thank You Dianna De Luca

The wound and the treatment. Beautiful skill!

I'm only knocking off a couple stars because there was a pair of other employees at the front desk, one had a badge and was in business casual so I'm guessing she was a supervisor of some sort. I should have gotten their names but one was African American and the other Hispanic with pink hair. They were basically cackling and gossiping while we were getting checked in. It felt very unprofessional, like they were having a grand old time at a dive bar. The wait was long and there were people waiting for their injured babies for hours and stressed about the situation. I talked to a couple of them while I waited for my friend to arrive with her baby. I could hardly hear what they were saying over the conversation those two were having, which had nothing to do with anything. It was so inconsiderate, and to think this might be a person in charge of a team is terrible. They were so comfortable acting that way in front of a lobby full of concerned pet parents! Do better access!! Once my friend arrived and we spoke with Hannah we felt more comfortable, and she made the check in and check out process quite smooth. He was a rescue as a puppy and had some sort of issue his entire 14 year life but I was lucky to have the means (and pet insurance) to treat any and all issues. That being said, paws and claws has been through with Renly: intestinal blockage surgeries, cancerous lump removal, epilepsy treatment, liver treatment,Osteoarthritis treatments. And because of them my husky lived 14 happy, pain free, years with amazing quality of life until literally his last day. We've been through several vets in the many years of patronage but Dr.D has been our vet for the last couple years and without a doubt her treatments are why my dog lived to 14 pain free and happy. Yes they are expensive, Woodland Hills, but pets are expensive. I highly recommend pet insurance for all pets as that is the reason I was always able to treat my dog. Last: the staff. Everyone at the front desk and the techs are amazing but I have to specifically point out Xavier, who has gone above and beyond for us more than once, and was the one to help renly pass, as they had their own special bond. and Bailey who has been there for us for many years as well. Now I have brought home a 10 month old east valley rescue who had kennel cough and several other shelter related issues and Dr. D has treated him appropriately and he is recovering quickly. The last thing you want when your fur baby is suffering is to reach voicemail after voicemail. Hearing a compassionate human voice on the other end of the phone brought me so much comfort. She came to my home first thing the next morning. I was worried about my younger Golden Retriever jumping on her or interfering with her care, but she was absolutely wonderful with both of my dogs. She encouraged him to stay in the room with us once he was comfortable with her, and I truly believe that helped him understand what was happening. She was incredibly professional, but I'll never forget one small moment. Out of the corner of my eye, while I was saying my final words and paying my last tributes to my girl, I saw her quietly wiping tears from her eyes. As a healthcare provider myself, I know how often we're expected to wear a mask and stay composed. Seeing that genuine emotion didn't make her seem less professional, it reassured me that she truly cared. In those final moments, your mind races. You question whether you're making the right decision. Seeing her emotion gave me peace because I knew she wasn't simply going through the motions. I knew that if she believed my girl wasn't ready, she would have told me. Most of us are fortunate enough to experience this kind of heartbreak only a few times in our lives. She carries families through it over and over again. That takes an incredible amount of compassion. My experience there was so negligent and dismissive that it could have endangered my dog's life. My dog has a collapsing trachea and multiple food allergies. Before she became sick, WCPC seemed fine. But once she needed consistent medical care, everything changed. Their attitude, accuracy, and professionalism declined sharply. Here is what I experienced: * Repeated prescription errors for months -- My dog needs a precise dose of medication to breathe comfortably. For 4-5 months straight, the written prescription was wrong. One month it was incorrect twice in the same day. They consistently prescribed too little medication, which is dangerous for her condition. * Dismissive and irritated staff -- Any time I called to follow up because their suggestions weren't working, they acted annoyed and impatient, even though I was calm and polite. I wasn't calling excessively -- just when my dog was struggling. * Blaming me instead of fixing mistakes -- When I finally expressed concern, they blamed me for requesting pill form instead of liquid, even though I had repeatedly explained that the liquid caused my dog severe pain. They showed no interest in helping me find a safe way to medicate her. * Failure to diagnose her condition -- For months they told me she was "fine," despite clear symptoms. She was later diagnosed with a collapsing trachea, something they overlooked again and again. * Lack of compassion or urgency -- My dog was having trouble breathing and swallowing medication, and they brushed me off. Their attitude was cold, rude, and completely lacking empathy. Their repeated mistakes and refusal to listen could have seriously harmed my dog. The only reason she's okay is because I paid close attention and pushed for answers. They never returned my calls. In my experience, WCPC was careless, dismissive, and unprofessional. I would not trust them with a medically fragile pet.

The staff at Oaks Veterinary were very kind to us and sat us in a semiprivate room up front while Dr. Jimenez did some tests on our kitten (he's 12, but he'll always be our kitten). The diagnosis was Feline Idiopathic Cystitis and we were sent home with a variety of medicines, some cans of prescription urinary care food, and orders to follow up with our primary vet in about a week for more tests. Everything was pretty pricey at $1700, so I appreciated that they gave us the cans of food for free (which our primary vet didn't do when we eventually followed up). They also sent the records over to our primary vet, which I appreciated. I had to follow up with the office staff about getting copies of the records for myself and, when I reached out with concern about how long it should be taking Atticus to recover, it took about 5 days to get back to me. Those are the only reasons it's not 5 stars. Lots of parking and food places nearby if you need to wait.
