I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding my recent experience at your clinic…read more Prior to my appointment, I sent multiple emails containing extensive medical records, specialist reports, and a detailed summary of my dog's condition. I spent considerable time gathering and organizing this information so that the veterinary team would have a clear understanding of the case before the visit. On the day of the appointment, I took time off work and drove approximately one hour to your clinic. Upon entering the examination room, the technician asked what was wrong with my dog. Given the volume of records and summaries that had been submitted in advance, I asked whether those materials had been reviewed. The technician informed me that they had not. I then requested that the records be reviewed before proceeding, as they contained extensive information from specialists and would provide important context for the appointment. A few minutes later, another staff member entered the room and informed me that I had been rude to the assistant and that the clinic would not be seeing my dog. I was shocked by this decision. At no point did I raise my voice, use inappropriate language, or behave in a disrespectful manner. I simply asked whether the records I had submitted had been reviewed and requested that they be considered before the appointment continued. As a result of this decision, I lost a day of work, spent significant time traveling to your clinic, and was denied care after making every effort to provide your staff with the information necessary to prepare for the appointment. This incident was particularly disappointing because it follows a previous experience at your clinic that left me concerned about communication, attention to detail, and the overall quality of the client experience. Unfortunately, this latest interaction has completely eliminated my confidence in your practice I believe clients should be able to respectfully ask whether medical records have been reviewed without fear of having their appointment terminated.

"Compassionate, professional, and affordable care"…read more I can't say enough good things about Reseda Pet Care Veterinary Center during one of the hardest moments of my life. I had to make the heartbreaking decision to euthanize my dog due to his illness, and from the very first call, they were kind, understanding, and compassionate. I had called around to multiple veterinary clinics all over the San Fernando Valley, and not only did they have the best pricing, but they were also able to accommodate me the very next day, which meant everything during such a difficult time. They treated my dog with dignity and treated me with patience and care when I needed it most. I truly felt supported and never rushed. If you are facing an incredibly painful decision and need a veterinary team that is compassionate, professional, affordable, and responsive, I highly recommend Reseda Pet Care Veterinary Center. I am so grateful for them.

This is not my first review of our beloved Dr G, and I just recommended her to 6 more people again just these past 2 weeks. I always say to people I give her card to: "you will discover she is an Earth Angel - if she moved to a different town, I'd take my pup there... When you find a great vet, they are Gold! She's not only compassionate, present and knowledgeable, but also she does not oversell." Besides all the regular check ups, Dr G. has performed 2 substantial surgeries on my pup in the last 8 years, and has been extremely kind, providing valuable reassuring step-by-step updates throughout, especially aware that I had lost my beloved first dog, (with a different vet), when he did not make it through the anesthesia... In the 8 years Dr G. has been our one and only vet; everyone I have sent to Dr G. has fallen in love with her, and has thanked me for the referral. I trusted Dr G and her small compassionate team with the euthanasia of my precious second dog, Handsome. She is truly an Angel on Earth. At her Chatsworth location, I love that she's created a lovingly cozy "home environment" for the euthanasia experience. That it so needed during that deeply emotional time, and more veterinary offices ought to follow her example. I found her many years ago when I was dissatisfied with a busy veterinary front desk in Sherman Oaks, after they had made errors in my first dog's chart. Unfortunately he passed, and I learned that finding the RIGHT professional truly makes ALL the difference. So yes, I drive from Sherman Oaks. Gratefully so :) I am thankful that my cherished pups are her patients. Her ethics, her care, her kindness, her knowledge, her integrity - she's our number 1!!!

Dr. Gonzalez was kind, patient, and thorough, taking the time to explain each step of the euthanasia process. She ensured our dog's maximum comfort throughout, even creating a makeshift pillow so he could rest peacefully. We were heartbroken, but her understanding and gentle approach gave us comfort while making the process completely painless and stress-free for our giant furbaby. She was available the same day and brought in a caring team afterward to respectfully and compassionately assist with our 132-pound dog. The thoughtfulness, professionalism, and empathy shown by Gemcore made an unbearable moment a little more bearable. We are deeply grateful and highly recommend them to anyone seeking a veterinary team that truly cares.

The full story: I've sat with this for a while and decided it was imperative to share my horrific experience at access and with Dr. Medina. Blame this on grief, but please know I sat and thought about this for a long time before writing and think that it's important to warn people of the horrible care we received. Two weeks ago we brought our dog in for two main concerns: 1) An injury he had sustained in his back leg and 2) A loss of appetite that we feared was cancer. Right out of the gate Dr. Medina hyper focused on his age and previous ultrasounds and ignored our concerns about the injury to his back leg. We tried to give her a comprehensive overview of our dog, who we knew better than anybody else to get her to take our concerns seriously. Before even looking at him, she had immediately jumped to focusing on cancer, and five minutes into the conversation was already talking about euthanasia. We left him there for the day to get all of his work ups done, and Dr. Medina had told us multiple times that the ultrasound tech leaves at 4 so he should be ready at 4. Bc we live far away from access we made sure to get there right at 4 and avoid any traffic delays. We were just going to wait in the lobby, but they insisted that we go into a room and talk to Dr. M. Dr. M came in confused asking us why we had showed up at 4. Bc you told us 4? We were very nervous, anxious and crying and yet she kept repeating the phrase "it's so FUNNY that you showed up this early. This is so WEIRD. This is so FUNNY, etc. etc." We thought we were going crazy. From there, Dr. M reviewed his x-rays with us and told us that we would need to do a fine needle aspirate on some masses that were found on his spleen. She said that she would call us with the results and if it was cancer would help us figure out what we needed to do next. She did mention she would not be at that hospital the next day, but would get a hold of us no matter what. That evening I realized my dogs legs were never x-rayed despite this being one of the top concerns. Once again, I realized Dr. Medina dismissed a major concern. Because of this, we did not trust access to handle our care or listen to our concerns so we were forced to get him x-rayed at a different hospital. Having to do a second round of x-rays hurt our dog so badly that he became paralyzed. I believe if our dogs care had been handled properly by Dr. M, his quality of life would have been so much better than the horrific experience he had in his final days. In addition, we spent all of the next day waiting for Dr. M to call us with the test results that we had paid to be expedited. During that entire time we waited, I had received many emails from access with receipts and summaries and discharge paperwork. None of these emails had any messages in the body of them just random PDFs attached with no indication that we'd be receiving life-changing news there. I almost didn't look at the last one we received, but I opened it and saw that Dr. Medina had written us a message with our dog's cancer diagnosis. The message itself was long and confusing and we had a million questions. We tried calling access and were only able to speak to receptionists who every time we had a question would put us on hold for 10 minutes at a time and either ask a doctor nearby or google the answer. To this day we never received a call from dr. Medina. When you work in a specialty hospital you should understand the lengths people will go to in order to care for their companions. I will never forgive Dr. Medina for completely abandoning us in the worst moment of our lives. She is truly a sick individual who lacks any care or compassion. I blame her specifically for the horrific end to my dog's life. I don't know what type of person could be so uncaring, unfeeling, and lacking any other normal human emotions. She is truly a sociopath.

The prices were always fair-- almost cheap, honestly. Everyone we ever dealt with has been wonderful. They've tried to always accommodate my dog when we needed an unexpected last-minute appointment-- which was kind of a lot because she had a few health issues over the years. They were always so nice and loved on her even though she was a bit of a bad girl. When we had to put my dog down very unexpectedly, they tried very hard to save her. But also, they were honest about no heroics. I mean, they really could've gotten a lot of money out of me to save her, but Dr Moon was honest that it was time to let her go. Over the last nine years, they were all just so good and sweet to her. To be honest, even driving by there, I kind of want to cry even though it's been a few months. They recognized signs of how our dog is feeling and offered to do their services in the separate treatment room so that our dog wouldn't keep feeling like he must protect us! Afterwards, we were consulted on everything that occurred and were given valuable information on what other steps we could take. I really appreciate Dr Cohen taking her time to discuss with us everything and both sides asked and answered questions. She was very kind and as our first vet to come across, she didn't make us feel worried and eased our stresses.
