Came here year end December as this place had been on my list to try. Ossington never disappoints with its restaurant scene. No exception that this Korean fusion place was a great starting point for the night. The ambiance here is dark and broody, but in a cool way. Makes the place seem intimate but inviting. They do have happy hour specials daily, so check IG for their specials. We went on a Tuesday, which is their buck a shuck night and $10 spritz cocktails. We decided to try a variety of dishes, which of course started with a dozen oysters. The kalbi sliders were delicious , the perfect bite size app We also tried : - the GamjaJeon -a Korean potato pancake, crispy , with pickled garlic chives. Crispy (kinda like a rice cake texture) - Mul- Hoe - salmon and sea bass sashimi. This was probably the dish I liked the least as it was sitting on top on the gochujang sauce, with I felt overpowering to the dish. - Wings with ssamjang dressing. Overall I liked the vibe and fusion of this place. Great for a happy hour get together with friends.

Such an elegant bar for dating and late night cocktails with friends. We tried their new menus with Korean twist. Everything was unique and delicious. Vibe was absolutely on spot, and the staff were so friendly. Service was very smooth and fast too even when it was quite crowded around 9pm. Willing to visit again!

$9 for a glass of wine from 5 to 8pm was such a great deal. No discounted food items during happy hour though. We ordered KFC and was not that great. Batter on Fried chicken itself was not that good and I would not call that sauce on top KFC. Sweet soy sauce base was mediocre any food court type Asian sauce. Not sure if I would return for food. Maybe for happy hour wine though.

Went for $35 winterlicious menu for dinner! The beef is done so well here for the appetizer and entree! Loved the charred shishito peppers for the entree beef was so tender and juicy. Dessert we got the espresso brownie which was so rich and delicious needed more ice cream to balance out the brownie! Overall service ambience and value for price was great!! Really enjoyed my time here

Went to Fallen Feather to try their winterlicious menu and it did not disappoint. The biggest highlight was their 24 hour sous-vide short rib and it was the best idea of the day to get the up size to the regular because it was the best beef I have ever had in my life. Extremely tender and flavourful meat with a sweet kalbi jus, smooth mashed potatoes, aromatic garlic confit, and the most delicious grilled shishito peppers. Another item we felt was above expectations was the white chocolate panna cotta paired with a sour berry compote and nutty hazelnut crumble. Beyond the food, the ambiance was nice with dim lighting and elegant decor. The servers were also very patient and attentive. Definitely looking forward to going back for a second meal sometime.

If you're looking for a cozy, tropical escape without leaving Toronto, this is your spot! Tucked…read moreaway on St. Clair West, this charming Puerto Rican is a gem. The customer service? Impeccable. The staff was genuinely kind and attentive without being overbearing. I felt welcomed from the second I walked through the door. I ordered the Avocado Salmon Toast paired with the beautifully pink and perfectly named Pink Flamingo drink. My friend went for the Sweet Berry Waffle and a classic lemonade. Let me just say--the flavors did not disappoint. The salmon was fresh, creamy avocado was piled high, and the toppings were thoughtfully layered. My only tiny critique (and I say this with love): the toast itself was a little too crispy for my liking. It made the dish a bit tricky to cut into, and the texture leaned dry. Next time, I'll definitely ask for it untoasted or lightly toasted. A softer base would really let those flavors shine without the crunch competing. Now let's talk about that Pink Flamingo--WOW. It was tropical, sweet, and honestly gave me vacation-in-a-glass vibes. I almost ordered a second, but adulting (and budgeting) called me back to reality. That said, it's worth every sip! I snuck a few bites from my friend's Sweet Berry waffles, and yep--I'm getting that next time!! Light, fruity, tasty!! I can't wait to come back and try more from the menu. Who knows, maybe next time I'll get to sample a few more dishes Seriously though--support local and give this place a try. You'll leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit.

Very good first time experience with Costa Rican food…read more We went with the recommendations and the only thing I wish I had tried was the ceviche but that's for next time. Must try is the Costa Rican coffee served in a traditional manner. Next must try is their empanadas! Housemade and the dough is phenomenal. Filling we tried was beef.

Found this cocktail bar through a friend and immediately made a reservation after seeing the menu…read more The ingredients are complex but intentional, with East Asian influences. I found myself wanting to try most of the cocktails, which is a rarity. We got the Strawberry Tetsu to start (inspired by Uncle Tetsu's Japanese cheesecake), along with the Cloudy Oolong (tea-based cocktail with a salted caramel cheese foam). The Strawberry Tetsu tasted like a dessert and was delicious, with a graham cracker crumble rim. The Cloudy Oolong had a strong tea taste which I loved, as sometimes the tea can get lost in a cocktail. The foam on top was addicting and paired nicely with it, similar to a bubble tea. Next, I had the Burnt Yuzu which was light and refreshing from the citrus. The bar is hidden behind Misfit Ice Cream, with a speakeasy vibe to the interior. Large windows line one wall with a view to the exterior, but are tinted enough that people walking by cannot see in. Service was great, although they do have a strict 1 hr 45 min time limit for seating, regardless of whether the bar is packed or not.

We walked up to an unassuming entrance that is part of the experience, and once inside, the atmosphere shifts completely. The space is intimate and cozy with dim lighting, comfortable seating, and a relaxed speakeasy vibe that makes it easy to settle in for a couple of drinks. The transition from the street to the interior feels deliberate, and the low-key energy of the room encourages lingering. The cocktail menu leans heavily into Asian-inspired flavors, and that is what makes it stand out. Every drink feels thoughtfully developed rather than relying on presentation alone. We tried the Cloudy Oolong, which was especially memorable with its rich tea flavor and creamy cheese foam that added a savory depth to the cocktail. The Strawberry Tetsu offered a dessert-like profile without becoming overly sweet, balancing fruit and tea notes in a way that felt refined and well composed. Each cocktail arrived beautifully presented and balanced, making it easy to appreciate the amount of care that goes into every glass. The menu is creative without being gimmicky, and the flavors are well integrated, with each drink offering something distinct. The staff were welcoming and happy to explain the menu or offer recommendations if you are unsure what to order. They guided us through the flavor profiles and offered thoughtful suggestions based on our preferences. Service felt attentive without being overbearing, and the overall pace made it a great place to relax rather than rush through a drink. The team checked in at the right moments and kept the experience feeling personal and unhurried. If you are looking for a cocktail bar that offers something different from the usual classics, After Seven delivers a memorable experience. Between the hidden entrance, intimate setting, and creative drinks, it is the kind of place that is easy to recommend whether you are celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for one of Toronto's more unique bars. The balance of atmosphere, craftsmanship, and service makes it a standout in the city's cocktail scene.
