Amazing drinks! We stumbled upon this place after dinner across the street, and luckily for us, we were able to get seated quickly without a reservation on a weeknight. We walked through an ice cream shop and straight to a vending machine to get inside. The ambiance is dimly lit and intimate. Even though the tables are pretty close to each other, it still felt private. All the drinks are thoughtfully curated and each sip was delicious!
After Seven is a hidden speakeasy that I've been coming back to for a while now, and it's one of those places that never gets old. They change their cocktail menu regularly, but somehow I always end up finding a drink I love. The last time I visited, I ordered the Strawberry Tetsu and the Cloudy Oolong, and both were amazing. They were smooth, well balanced, and just the right amount of sweet without being overpowering. I'd definitely recommend making a reservation before you go, as it fills up quickly. Also be prepared for the tables to be fairly close together since it's a smaller space, but that's part of the cozy speakeasy atmosphere. The staff are always incredibly attentive and knowledgeable, and they're great at recommending drinks based on what you usually like.

such a hidden gem and speakeasy in toronto!! we went on a late weekday so we did not have to fill a reservation, and instead was able to get seated right away at the bar area as we walked in. this place seems to specialize in asian flavoring, so drinks may taste umami on top of the sweetness and alcoholic taste of the drinks. i appreciate the art and tedious mixture of the drinks we had! this place was dimly lit and served the perfect vibe for me and my partner to chat, enjoy our beverages, and take cute pictures.
A little "hidden" gem of a speakeasy. I remember when it was first announced and the concept of having something like this was glorified beyond belief. The cocktails and innovation behind them have not waiver Ed, but due to popular demand, the prices have since skyrocketed - I don't blame them as inflation has a key in it, but it's definitely not somewhere I would frequent as a result of the price hikes. The overall ambiance is chill. The service is usually great, but it did take a while to flag my server every now and then. All-in-all solid and unique cocktail experience

They do a time limit but they always ask you if you need anything else during your last call.
Decent Japanese-inspired "speakeasy" bar behind a yogurt drink spot (putting "speakeasy" in quotes because you can technically see into the windows from the outside lol). You enter through Kome Yogurt. My boyfriend and I joined the waitlist at 7:50 PM on a Friday (you can join remotely) and were seated after about 30 mins. We tried the greenhouse, Black benne, Ghibli elixir, and Curry colada. Not the most incredible cocktails, but all were super tasty and the bar has a fun vibe.
Loveeee the drinks here. Would come here often if I lived closer. I like their fruity drinks and the ghibli elixir is a crowd favourite amongst my group. It's really cozy inside with a few small round tables, a small standing area and some bar seats. Must reserve if you want to come here. I recommend this place to all cocktail lovers!

The bartender was super sweet, friendly, and helped my friend make a drink based off of the flavor profiles that she likes. Here, you scan a QR code to view the menu and order with a server; they have fun cocktails, classic drinks, and some small bites to enjoy. After much decision (as so many drinks seemed good), I decided to go with the matcha snickers, which combined barley shochu, dark chocolate, peanut butter, and matcha. It was delicious and a fairly strong drink (21% ABV). Would love to come back here to try some of their other cocktails!
Wow the cocktails here are uber delicious! I'm a big fan of speakeasies and this spot was a fun one to figure out how to get inside. I had a couple cocktails, including the Ginza Glow, and everything was unique and tasty. This is one of those places you wish you could just try every single drink. I've only been to a handful of bars in Toronto but I'd have to say this one was the best experience!
not only do their drinks taste DELICIOUS, the employees were also AMAZING!!! starting off with the atmosphere, it feels nice and sophisticated. it also is a very intimate speakeasy. the drinks are also sooo good! the left one is the (limited) kiwi crème glacée; although it has tomato and celery, you can barely even taste it because of how it is clarified. the kiwi flavor is really prominent as well. the right (short) drink is the ghibli elixir; it tastes like a melona ice cream bar with a kick of pandan at the end! lastly, the employees... literally some of the best employees ive ever encountered! i went on 6/12/25 around 11pm and the people working really cared for the customers, especially when i had lots of questions lol i didn't get their names so i can't specifically shout them out, but there was an asian girl and a tall white guy (who is the manager) who were so lovely... so shoutout to them (you know who you are!!!)

It's a small space but I very much enjoyed the ambience, drinks, feeling of a hidden speakeasy! If I lived nearby, I'd frequent the space for small hangouts. Having to use a secret password to use was exciting and made me a bit nervous to say and entering through a hidden door is always fun. For food and drinks, I'll start with the bad. The free mixed nuts is free for a reason; it was stale but I guess, something to much on while you drink and hang. I ordered the old boy which came with a cheese skirt cracker and both were delicious! They also have some non alcoholic options if you ask nicely but I do wish they had more NA selections. I would try everything on the menu if I could! "can I order a number 8?"
Found this cocktail bar through a friend and immediately made a reservation after seeing the menu. The ingredients are complex but intentional, with East Asian influences. I found myself wanting to try most of the cocktails, which is a rarity. We got the Strawberry Tetsu to start (inspired by Uncle Tetsu's Japanese cheesecake), along with the Cloudy Oolong (tea-based cocktail with a salted caramel cheese foam). The Strawberry Tetsu tasted like a dessert and was delicious, with a graham cracker crumble rim. The Cloudy Oolong had a strong tea taste which I loved, as sometimes the tea can get lost in a cocktail. The foam on top was addicting and paired nicely with it, similar to a bubble tea. Next, I had the Burnt Yuzu which was light and refreshing from the citrus. The bar is hidden behind Misfit Ice Cream, with a speakeasy vibe to the interior. Large windows line one wall with a view to the exterior, but are tinted enough that people walking by cannot see in. Service was great, although they do have a strict 1 hr 45 min time limit for seating, regardless of whether the bar is packed or not. read more

I am a fan of Asian inspired flavors for cocktails, and this one is no exception. From oolong teas to yuzu and exotic fruits, there are a wide variety of creative flavors to choose from. Not going to lie, we had trouble finding the entrance, even after looking it up online, but it is through the shop in the corner of that block and through a vending machine door. There was already kind of a line waiting in the shop on the side, so we did not order the #8 to get in. It is dimly lit and has good music playing, but the area inside is on the smaller side. The drinks are on the expensive side but the drinks are higher quality. The staff was also very nice, they provided phone chargers for us when our phones were about to die. read more

Found this on TikTok and definitely a place I recommend! Such a unique speakeasy, we had a longer wait but for sure recommend others to reserve in advance. I have no notes for this place. There is limited seating so not great for large group outing. We got squeezed into a standing table. The drinks were some of the best cocktails I have ever tried. There drinks are so unique and well crafted. The drink I had tasted like a strawberry milkshake and so cool it had cheese foam. Moody speakeasy that is located on Stephanie street. You enter through Kome Yogurt and order #8 to get inside. The service and ambiance is great with drinks and bites that are Japanese inspired. It's an idea spot if you're looking for a small intimate bar. read more
Beautiful speakeasy behind a frozen yogurt shop. As a party of 2 we signed up for the waitlist and it was a 30min wait, but when we finally got in the place was pretty empty, which was confusing. The drinks were amazing, a bit pricey but you get quality with what you paid for. The matcha snickers was like a matcha version of an espresso martini, and the ginza glow was super complex and tasty The service was ok, it felt like we waited a long time before our orders were taken. The music choice was interesting- you would expect lounge music or jazz, but it was more like an EDM concert- not very conducive for conversation. Overall recommend this place to try the drinks! read more

Late review. If you look for upscaled cocktail experiences, you must visit here. It was a Friday night in mid September . After Seven is a "popular secret hideaway" (hope it makes sense to you!) behind a popular café (Kome Yogurt) off the busy Queen St E. I booked online and when I arrived, I had to wait at the door (inside the café) for an "After Seven" waiter to allow us into the space. To be honest, before I came here, I was a bit concerned about the vibe. From the impression that I had gotten online, I assumed that this place would be "for young people" and I might be feeling "out of place" ( I am older middle-age lol). But my assumption was wrong. There were a wider generations of people enjoying the space, and I felt welcomed. Oh their cocktails were the most creative, sophisticated, and aesthetic, each of them hit the perfect balance of its complex flavors. We had: #1. Cloudy Oolong (Shochu, Blackcurrant Berry, Roasted Oolong Tea, Pear,Sea Salt Cheese Foam) #2. Ghibli Elixir (Rum, Melon, Pandan, Lime, Whey, Lemongrass, Micro Cilantro) #3. Smoky Ume (Mezcal, Plum Umeshu,Sherry, Citrus, Bitters,Ume Salt) #4. Burnt Yuzu（Bourbon Whisky, Yuzu, Amontillado Sherry, Whey, 12yr Rum Caramel) I came here with my daughter (I am a Japanese). I felt nostalgic as After Seven had many Japanese-themed/inspired cocktails like Shochu, Ghibli, Ume, Yuzu etc... My daughter was born in Canada and learned Japanese from Ghibli movies, and she is very familiar with the Japanese flavors. We had a good conversation :) Loved this place. Thank you! They only have light snack. That should not be a problem if you want to have full experience of their delicate drinks. Made reservation 3 months out for this bar/yogurt shop. The entrance is through a brick wall located in an yogurt shop. The brick wall opens as a one-way to enter. Once you enter through the long black-out drapes into this low light lit mysterious room that's not to loud, filled with people who are only supposed to be there at this time slot. The vibe here was great! Bartenders were super friendly and knowledgeable, and able to express the craftmanship of there handcrafted cocktails and the love that goes into it for us to enjoy. If you want to step your game up to impress, entertain, enjoy a special occasion that has an intimate feeling, this is where you should be in downtown Toronto! Definitely would recommend if in the area and looking to treat yourself to a good cocktail! You only live once why not experience what your fruit of hard labor has rewarded you with! The place is my favourite speakeasy in the city! It's hidden behind a bubble tea spot. The venue is beautiful and small. The service is some of the best in the city. So knowledgeable and friendly but in the most professional way. Always around to take e anew order, check on you or bring you more of their delightful snack mix. The cocktails are mind blowing. I went with my friend who loves mixology too and she was blown away at the imagination and creativity they had to make this amazing menu. I had the greenhouse that was a wonderful savoury cocktail that was perfectly balance. With the fanciest ice cube I've ever had. Hello from the land of the free, imperial measuring system, and obesity! After my sister found this through tik tok, I've had the pleasure to try this place out. Coming in, I know this place would be great since the staff treated us so well and escorted us in. They were always attentive to our needs and refilling our little snack bowl whenever we almost finished. As for the place, the lighting was great, the small tables made it great for dates, and honestly loved the little bar area. Also, kinda a chemistry nerd here, there was a rotavap in the corner for whatever they were evaporating. Anyways, I ordered the burnt yuzu and I absolutely loved it. More of a strong alcohol kinda guy (not the alcoholic type I swear), but loved how lighter this was and it complemented the strong taste of yuzu. we checked our After Seven which is a hidden bar behind Kome yogurt. The ambience is nice and relaxing, the Asian flavoured cocktails are really tasty. I had the Greenhouse which was light, refreshing and delicious, but you have to like perilla / shisho to enjoy this one. They make it a point to walk through the cocktail flavour profiles if you're not sure what to order and it was really helpful. It's a good hidden spot. read more

Amazing! I went there with no reservation and was able to get a seats for two by the bar. The lighting is kind of dark and moody and it has a very intimate setting for conversation. The drinks were great! We grabbed some strawberry drink (can't really remember the name), the ghibli drink (a melon gin drink), and the ginger ale high ball. All the drinks were expertly made and our bartender was a treat. He was so kind and informative! We loved talking with him the entire time we were there. Would totally recommend this place. Entrance wise, we didn't really have to "order" at the front since it wasn't really busy(?) read more
1000000/10!! loved every part of this place. the entrance is through a yogurt (?) shop that's brightly lit. once you enter the bar it's dark, mysterious, not too loud, clean, amazing vibes. i didn't have cell service (traveling from out of country) and the servers were so kind to lend me their personal cell phone to see the menu!!!!! we were able to get a table for 2 for 50mins on a thursday night without reservation (would recommend reserving a spot). drinks were PHENOMENAL!!! they were not strong but the taste and creativity were 1000000/10. i loved every part of it, from presentation to texture to flavor. the free crunchy savory snack also made SUCH a great pairing. it was so tasty I asked for a refill and they were happy to do so! on the pricey side but it's totally worth it. you are enjoying top tier ambiance, creative art, flavors and vibes. read more

My partner and I stopped by for a quick drink the other day and were so happy we did. Luckily, not too long of a wait and we were seated at the bar (the best spot to watch the magic happen!). Bartenders were super friendly and knowledgeable, and you could tell they were proud of all of their handcrafted cocktails. The drinks were amazing (big fan of the flamango). A fun experience with the thrill of secrecy. It was my first time at a speakeasy and it was super fun going through the hidden door and finding this small but cozy space to enjoy some cocktails. The cocktails itself were different from the usual and very good, but I feel like it lacked in food options . I went on an empty stomach thinking I'll get some snacks while I drink, but there was not much. Service was fast and attentive but it expected for the size of the venue. The whiskey/chocolate pairing was a bit odd, they were both good but neither made the other one better or worse. read more

My partner and I came here for nye and greatly enjoyed the cocktails we ordered. Every table comes with a complimentary bowl of mixed nuts and due to it being nye we also each got free shots. The strawberry cocktail was the best alcoholic drink I've had in my life and tasted just like a milkshake. The matcha drink was also very delicious and unique. The wasabi cocktail was just so-so in my opinion. Would could again but do keep in mind the average cocktail is 20$ so this is definitely a place for a more special occasion than every day day. read more

Cute spot but highly recommend making a reservation. We got lucky and got bumped up on the waitlist. The bar is small and intimate.. Probably fits around 20 ppl. They had a live singer and the spot smelt of a Le Labo candle. We got three cocktails: Madame Seven, which came in a teacup and was VERY strong; Flamango, which tasted like a creme brûlée on top and Pandan Panda, which tastes like a spiked soda. Wouldn't recommend getting Madame Seven because it tastes like straight up gin. read more
BOTTOM LINE: Super chill (and hidden) cocktail bar located around the corner from Grange Park. A hidden bar behind a yogurt shop? A white-oak and off-teal design aesthetic? And talented bartenders experimenting with the art (and science) of mixology? SIGN ME UP! This delightful spot recently opened up and I'm a big fan. Resos are a must if you're coming on a Friday or Saturday, but if you can swing by Thursdays or Sundays, you'll be rewarded with a much chiller experience. Also, check their IG for their password to enter! The staff were friendly and attentive, and seemed sincerely enthusiastic discussing how they come up with new drinks, and let me tell you, their creations range from creative to avante garde, while also offering some traditional cocktails with a twist. The MADAME SEVEN may have been my favourite on the menu in terms of a good blend of being quite booze-forward balanced by floral highlights from elderflower and fresh jasmine bulbs. It was also served in a modern Chinese tea cup on a mini bamboo tray like you see at dim sum restaurants! The MONTERREY MEMORIES was made with a smokey mezcal and offset by very subtle flavours from coconut water, bananas, and citrus. If you like bold flavours, this is for you. The HIGH TEA came with an unforgettable cat kettle and an almond cookie. It's smooth and goes down easy (dangerous!), and made for a nice palette cleanser. The GOMA OLD FASHIONED was infused with sesame (oil) and had this initial burst of sesame flavour with a whiskey after taste, that was really quite a pleasant surprise. I really enjoyed this for its complexity, but I could see how this might not be everyone's cup of tea. Finally, the most impressive cocktail for me was an UNNAMED experimental one involving clarification of scotch, rum, coffee, and milk, leaving this super smooth, syrupy, and layered cocktail that was just bliss! Apparently this involved 36-hours of preparation, which speaks to how seriously these guys take their cocktail creations. I'm definitely looking forward to coming back and seeing what else they come up with. read more
There's a lot of hype about this Japanese speakeasy bar behind a frozen yogurt store. A cool concept and quite the novelty, but in my humble opinion, not worth the wait. My friend and I arrived at ~ 9:30 pm on a Friday night. Unfortunately we didn't make a reservation on OpenTable (please do this), so we were put on the waitlist. We were informed there were 15 groups ahead of us. Having no other plans, we decided to stay on the list and go bar-hopping along Queen St., thinking we would get a text within 2 hours. Not the case. We ended up getting the text past 1 am, notifying us that a spot finally opened up. By that time, our group turned into 4 people and we were a handful of drinks into the night. Nevertheless we wanted to check it out after waiting for almost 4 hours. It is pretty cool to walk into a frozen yogurt store and through a backdoor to get to a full service bar. The bar aesthetic is nice, with bright aquamarine paneling and art deco bar stools, with bar name "After Seven" written in beautiful Chinese calligraphy. Unfortunately we were nearing last call at this point, so I think the bar seating was closed (maybe they were cleaning up already) and were seated in the opposite corner of the bar, which was a bit cramped and also not very cozy. Service was friendly, despite nearing last call hours and they had no problem with us ordering 2 drinks each as soon as we sat down (probably a bad idea in retrospect). Unfortunately the drinks fell short for me. I'm not sure if it was because it was last call and the bartenders were rushing, or if my palate was ruined by the sweeter drinks at the prior bar. Usually I enjoy a strong cocktail, but the two drinks I had were too boozy for my liking. One was the Madame Seven (I can't remember the other drink...maybe Okinawa Old Fashioned). The presentation was nice, but the drinks were somewhat unbalanced and overly alcoholic. Maybe I ordered the wrong drinks, but I was definitely disappointed after being on the waitlist for almost 4 hours. Still a very cool spot and I may just return with a reservation, but count me out if there's a waitlist. read more

Great speakeasy in Toronto to bring a date. The space is small and intimate but super cool and aesthetic. The best part is the entrance is hidden in a yogurt drink shop- Kome. Very fun experience to see the face of someone in there for yogurt watching you disappear through a door you wouldn't know was really there if you weren't paying any attention. Had the chance to try some drinks after a dinner out in Toronto. They have some very good options that definitely fuse Asian flavours into their cocktails. I'll have to apologize now for forgetting exactly what the drinks were called but we had one that was a special wasabi and ginger drink. Then also had a what I want to say was called liquid gold but know that's probably not the name. The drink had espresso. With the large cube ice in the glass, beautiful drink. All the drinks I saw coming from the bar were beautiful to look at. All the servers were very nice. Will return again. Also for those who've never gone, you might want to make a reservation since again space is limited. Also you would just order the number 8 at the counter at Kome and that's how you'll get your fun speakeasy experience. read more

Can be found hidden behind a self order display, but only after ordering a #8 on their yogurt menu, at their Kome yogurt shop. The price, once he rings you up, is your identification. He then clicks his hidden button, and the display swings open where you'll find a hidden bar. As you enter there will be a coat rack, and very limited seating. A small and personal setting. The ambiance at the tables is very speakeasy, but the bar is a little too bright and the bar is way too high. Ideally, follow their instagram, and make a reservation so that you can get a table. The service is superb. The employees really seem to enjoy making cocktails, and providing such a wonderful experience. They have a decent size menu with lots of original cocktails, classics cocktails, and high end whiskeys. Whatever it is you drink, they make it masterfully. Everything I ordered was delicious. From the presentation of the cat tea pot to the flavor, the high tea was, by far, the most fun, and my favorite. Overall, this place is a pure delight. Everything we were looking for. I might recommend lowering the music level a tad, lowering the bar height, dimming the bar lights, and possibly putting a garden box along the back windows so that people can't see the bar from outside and it covers up the exit doors. This would stop people from trying to enter from the wrong area, and keep the bar hidden since the lights are a little too bright to keep it conspicuous. First off, the ambiance of this place is completely awesome. Tucked away behind a yogurt shop, this bar is modern, unique, and obviously a bit mysterious! Be prepared to spend an arm and a leg, but the drinks are mostly worth it. We loved our Espressotini and the Goma Colada, but ordering the Pandan Panda was a decision I regret. On the upside, the snacks they give you are great, and the service was absolutely perfect. Definitely a keeper! read more
My favourite bar in Toronto right now. Quality is great and vibe is great. This bar is hidden behind Kome Yogurt Shop, their yogurt is really good btw, try them out when you have a chance. Order number 8 to get into the secret bar, however you need to make a reservation bc the inside is very small and there is a 2-hour seating limit. There is no food menu at this bar but they provide free bar nuts that are extremely addicting and pairs perfectly with their cocktails. The cocktails at this bar are all inspired by East Asian flavours and sooooo delicious. We tried 6 in total and we loved every one of them. You know it's a good cocktail when you can precisely taste all the flavours listed for that cocktail. Babylon Martini ($19) - lots of layers to the flavours of this martini. You can clearly taste the Jasmine in the jasmine infused Gin, the elderflower, as well as the scent of lemon Cloudy Oolong ($17) - has sea salt cheese foam on top of roasted oolong shochu, the same cheese foam you find on bubble teas however, this is how cheese foam is supposed to taste like...the bubble tea shops need to use this recipe. This is what cheese foam tastes like in Taiwan, but none of the bbt shops in Toronto makes it as legit as this place. Smoky Ume ($19) - I love the salty sweet plum flavour profile of this drink and I love how well it pairs with the smokiness of the mezcal. The salted plum rim was the cherry on top. Goma Colada ($20) - A sesame pina colada that is a recommended drink amongst many previous patrons. The sesame flavour is strong and fragrant and absolutely delicious. Flamango ($18) - Wow this drink was like eating an extremely fresh and ripe mango and the torched brule on top was such a delicious addition to the drink Burnt Yuzu ($21) - another extremely well-made drink with a smoky yuzu flavour. read more
