Great spot. My 2 toddlers are having fun. At the bottom or going down the hill. I recommend this spot. Quiet and free. With parking

She pointed out some bike routes as well. They had standard bikes and cruisers and had a variety of sizes. We had a blast and couldn't have asked for a better experience.

We had to pay $10 for beach parking, and they let us park just past the pay gate so it was a short walk the the shop. Their bikes and kid's trailers are good quality - we went on a ~16 mile ride and the equipment served us well. The wheels on the trailer were true. However, the service is not great. One of our friends was looking for a tag along bike (a kid's bike connected to the adult bike); this shop normally has them but they were out of service, and the guys working at the shop wouldn't even explain why or offer any other options. When we asked for helmets, they vaguely pointed to the back of the store and again weren't helpful while we looked through unfamiliar rooms for an apparent collection of helmets somewhere. Upon leaving, we weren't given any information on price or time limits so we took our time and got back at almost 5pm; I embarrassingly realized they had actually closed at 4pm. Even so, they only charged us for 3 hours instead of the 5 we were gone. They did also lose the liability we signed (they said it was no issue for us, but it was just their own fault for getting mixed up). Overall I think the guys who work here know their way around bikes and keep things in good shape. They don't seem to care too much about much else like customer service; not great when you need their help, but beneficial when they aren't strict about how much they charge.

The group can only access this beach with the shuttle & tour group so make sure to read everything in the email. The clear kayaking is done at Sand Harbor which was absolutely gorgeous. All of the guides we met and interacted with were super cool, nice, and helpful. Using a clear kayak is particularly cool when you go over rocks and boulders in the lake. The kayaking was not too strenuous and I would definitely recommend for beginners like myself. It is a bit more pricey to do the clear kayak tours as opposed to renting a regular kayak so it's something to consider, but by doing the tour I got to see a part of the lake I had never been to (and is a bit harder to get to) and also got instructions and tips for kayaking. We thought the tour would go a little farther/longer too but it was still cool. Kayaks are available as singles or doubles with weight limits so be sure to take that into account when booking. It was late July when we went so the weather was nice and warm. We wore swim shorts and dry fit shirts with UV protection. Our legs got a little wet from water splashing off the paddle but it felt great. They do lend you dry bags to use if you have any items you want to keep on you while kayaking. I did use the dry bag for my sunscreen, water bottle, wallet/fanny pack. They also said we could leave belongings in their life jacket van at the beach, which some people chose to do. I would recommend packing light though. I am glad we booked this adventure. I think after going with a tour group now I feel more confident to rent a kayak and head out without a tour next time I visit Tahoe.

Be aware that the whole experience will be around 4-5 hours. Our scheduled snowmobile is at 1-3 pm, but needed to meet up at the designated location to be picked up by shuttle around 11:30am. We finished and got back to our car by 4:30pm. So plan your day of snowmobiling accordingly and eat beforehand. 1. Meet up at the shuttle pickup location 2. Arrived at first location to get proper helmet(or rent extra clothing supplies + buying snacks/water) 3. then take second shuttle up in the valley for snowmobile tour. 4. Snowmobile tour 5. Back with shuttle to drop off helmet 6. Second shuttle back to your hotel or car parking location Highly recommend for this winter activity in Tahoe. The view is breathtaking and I would definitely come back again in the future!
