Cars were parked on BOTH sides of the narrow passageway so you literally have to fold your mirrors to get by. We witnessed cars trying to come in while cars were trying to get out and neither was budging so it was like a showdown on who is going to back up. My advice: Get here early or don't bother pulling in. Just park your car outside. If you happen to score a spot inside you are lucky but think about an exit strategy. Please be considerate by leaving plenty of room for other cars to get out. I think people nowadays lack common sense. If you don't believe it, come here and see it for yourself. Once inside your kids will have fun! Make sure you bring your snow toys like a sled, disc, or snowball maker. I guess if you have a big bum you can slide down the hill on that because I've seen that also. It's one of the very few places you can enjoy sledding for free. Free means there are no moving conveyors so you have to climb the hills with what god gave you. Unless you are like my kids and you just sit in your sled and let Daddy pull you up while he huffs and puffs trying to pull in oxygen from the thin mountainous air. Angry about the price of the ride for my wife (equivalent to a full day ski pass), so we decided to go for a hike instead. Great decision. Gorgeous day, challenging hike but great trail. We did the Barn Trail to the Cal/Neva loop (not enough time to up to the waterfall). Way better than paying for the gondola with a 5 minute loop around a metal platform...Stayed at the Marriott so just walked out the back of the hotel. All day parking available for $10 via Venmo in the back of the shopping center across from the park entrance.

I caught the sunset and ended up leaving the trail a little after most people might find comfortable. it had gotten dark indeed. on the NV side. The bathrooms on the California side are closed for the season. this sky this time of year can turn an incredible pink at the very end of the day after the sun has set in the west. It's magical it's notable that while they will sell you a ticket at heavenly to ride the gondola for $108 you can just walk up to this lookout and see almost exactly the same view. you could stay there as long as you want. Seems like a good deal to me. it gets your workout app impressed too

Unfortunately, it wasn't open to the public yet, but we got to see the exterior and peek into the windows to see the interior. Great experience, nonetheless. It's connected right along the water and a dock where we got to sit and relax for a while and take in the fresh air and cold water. It was sunny this day, so we got in, but don't let the sun fool you... the water was ice cold still. Easy hike down, but definitely can be exhausting going back up. You're basically walking at a steep incline the entire time.

Great for Families & Touristy Fun -- Just Come Early! We…read morevisited Tahoe Snowmobiles in South Lake Tahoe for snow tubing, and had a really fun time! While the business name suggests it's just for snowmobiles, they also offer snow tubing, which is what we came for -- but it wasn't immediately clear online or on signage. It took a bit of guessing to realize we were at the right place since the signage could definitely be improved. That said, once we figured it out, everything was smooth! Good to Know Before You Go: Tubing is $50 per person per hour, and every person on the property (even if not tubing) must purchase a $10 spectator pass for liability reasons. We arrived around 10:30 AM on a Sunday, and the lines were okay -- but by noon, it got VERY busy. We were so glad we came early. Slopes are perfect for kids -- not too steep, with just the right amount of thrill. Kids aged 3-5 must ride with an adult. There are two entry lines (walk-in & reservations). Booking online ahead might help to save some time. What We Loved: The tubing lanes were well-groomed and smooth. There were staff members at the top helping launch you down gently (or with a wild spin, if you're up for it!) and safety staff at the bottom ensuring smooth exits. Kids loved it, and it felt safe and well-managed overall. Staff were young but hard-working and cheerful. There's a QR code at the entrance to fill out the required waiver -- best to start that while you wait in line. Parking Tip: Nearby parking is $20 per hour, but the first hour is free -- perfect if you plan your visit efficiently. Final Thoughts: Yes, it's a bit touristy and a little pricey -- but it's also a blast and creates great memories and photos for families. If you arrive before 10 AM or later around 3 PM, you'll avoid the biggest crowds and have a much smoother experience. We'd definitely recommend it for families looking for classic snow fun in South Lake Tahoe!

The rangers working at the start of the hike were extremely kind and knowledgeable. I enjoyed learning about the two hikes and what to expect from each. I am a newbie so the hike I went on was so challenging. I found myself huffing and puffing, taking several breaks and turning very red. Once I made it to the top, it was totally worth it and coming back down was so much easier than going up! I would do it again and I highly recommend you do this too!

We are not avid bike park "people," so this review is from a total novice perspective. That said,…read moreamazing! We came up with 8 kiddos 4 - 5th grade. Everyone had a BLAST! The more adventurous in our group tried the green slopestyle and the BMX trail. The less adventurous ride the whoopsie trial and the pump tracks. Then for those who wanted, there is a playground in eyesight of the bike trail starts. The bathrooms were clean and stocked with soap and paper towels (woohoo!!!). There is a skate park in the area as well, though we didn't spend time in that area. There were some workers tending to part of the start of the BMX trail, but they had set up a way for people to start regardless. That just struck me as so super thoughtful that the whole thing wasn't closed. Other families and even more serious riders shared the park while we were there. Everyone was welcome and it was a seriously fantastic afternoon!
