The couse itself is long enough from the back tees and challanging enough for golfers of all levels . I come from San Diego where a 100 round of golf is normal. We made a tee time for 2:15 PM on Father's Day and called on Friday to book it. We spoke with…read moresomeone named Scott, who was extremely rude over the phone. He scheduled a tee time for three people over the phone. When we arrived at the course, we were told we weren't on the schedule and were asked if we had called the wrong course. We even showed the employee our call log, which showed a three-minute phone call to the course. Instead of taking any responsibility or offering a solution, we were simply told that we should have booked online if we wanted to guarantee a tee time because apparently that's better than calling and speaking to a physical employee. Since it was Father's Day, there were no available times left, so after driving 30 minutes to get there, we had to leave and scramble to find somewhere else to take our dad. We understand that mistakes happen, but the lack of accountability and customer service was extremely disappointing.

I can hit a ball 250 yards before it touches the ground and starts rolling, but I just can't seem…read moreto hit the nail on the head when dealing with some people no matter how hard I try. Maybe drives and people are the same...the harder you try, the worse the shot ends up. (Tee boxes and fairways are great here. Tee boxes were aerated recently, but plugs were all gone. Center cut of fairways is narrow in places, but that makes it fun!) Playing from the tips, I can score in the 80's here, but scoring a long term friendship with people I care about seems to evade me. (Low scores at this course are generated by playing smart. With lots of creeks and water your shot selection needs to include several layups and specific yardages to put you in a good position to hit the green.) I can usually read a green better than I can read a person. However, the greens here are tough. You first think it will go left, but then you walk it and maybe it will go right, so you don't give up the cup and run it 4 feet past the hole to the right. (Sometimes you just have to go for it, even if failure is imminent.) A lot of people don't understand golf. A lot of people don't like golf, or those that play. That's ok...I don't understand a lot of people. Love the bridges, scenic views, and an obviously well cared for track.
