Been in support of this tiny store for 10 years! Yesterday the same cashier I chitchat with decided to accuse me of stealing! "...just this, or do you have one in your bag?" Wow. Then gas light me with a snotty " that's why we don't let people in here with a bag. Sorry I upset you." Guess he was expecting me to fall into every stereotype and start cursing. Pitiful. I guess my little $20 matters not to their bottom line. You expect me to pay you for a bag. Your business is literally next to a grocery store! People will come with bags. I am the neighbor to this building and only go here for my liquor. Every single time I go in here the old miserable white man interrogates me (a grown woman) asks for my birthday, talks down on me, mansplains me through the process and I'm no longer coming back. Today he asked me how old I was, I stuttered when I replied. He said and why did you stutter? Because you're interrogating me. Well let me type in your ID so we can verify that. Ok. Stopped in out of curiosity and was quite pleasantly surprised. Very friendly staff and a pretty decent beer selection, which is what I am after. Have had great experiences both times I have been in. The best thing about Falls is that it's *very* close to my work, making it incredibly easy for me to pop in as often as I need to. While they don't have everything, they usually have what I need. The beer selection is good, and they're willing and able to order something in if they don't have it. I have a little more trouble finding wine there - somehow I struggle finding the wine I want at the price point I want. But I'm a huge fan of the punch card! That baby is precious. read more

Great selection of local beer, mid price wine and spirits. They don't really have much on the cheap side, don't go expecting a $3 bottle of wine! They have punch cards, which is awesome, ask for one at the register. Everyone who works here has always been helpful and friendly. They often have beer samples. The reason I like this place so much is because of the mix and match beer cooler. Unlike other local liquor stores, Falls Liquor prices its single beers at 1/6 of the 6 pack price. There's no up charge for a single! Whenever I want a beer or two from a six pack, the employees always let me take what I want and put the rest in the singles cooler. In addition, they have a really solid craft beer selection to choose from. read more

The store is cluttered and difficult to navigate, the parking lot is near-impossible to access during rush hour, the staff scowls at anybody under 45*...and you know what? It's the best damn business to ever pop up in that location. Falls Liquor has a fantastic selection of craft beers, wine tasting events, a banging mural on the right side of the building, competitive prices, and the best part? It's a stone's throw from the Ford Bridge for all you St. Paulites who find themselves desperate and dry at 9 pm on a Thursday night. The location is godawful for anything beyond a liquor store (as evidenced by the long lineage of failed convenience stores), but Falls Liquor fits the neighborhood like a glove. DISCRIMINATION. I went in to buy a limited edition beer for my boyfriend as a new years gift, and my friend came and wanted to buy himself one too. It was one bottle per costumer, well we were two paying costumers and yet we left with one bottle. The owner walks up to us and says "I want to buy one is that ok? i am the owner" No, its not okay and who cares if you are the "owner". I am a paying costumer and this is a gift for my boyfriend. He was completely rude and has NO RIGHT to deny me of my purchase just because my friend wanted to buy himself a bottle as well. We are two SEPARATE paying costumers, therefore following the "rules" of the limit. He may think he is doing good by allowing "other costumers" to purchase the beer but I am a costumer and I wanted to buy it. I am out of a gift for my boyfriend who also wanted a bottle and I have been wanting to surprise him! big disappointment, huge jerk and beer snob. This is not a way to run a business. read more
