I absolutely think this place is great! I was introduced to Fallside through a Yelp Event earlier this year. I talked about it so much at work my friends begged to go. We met up for 50 cent wings on Sunday. Yeah, that's right, what is this 2006? 50 cent wings, and they are no joke! Big plump and juicy wings cooked perfectly crispy and generously tossed in sauce with was was described as house-made ranch or blue cheese dressing? My friends really enjoyed them. I had the fried vegetable gyoza and I can't say I've ever had them deep fried before, more like steamed or pan-fried, but this was a game changer! I was really looking forward to the Imposter cheezy jalapeno bites but our server informed us they were out. I love that they have several vegan options on the menu. At the Yelp Event we were fortunate enough to try the vegan pizza and it was honestly one of the best vegan pizzas around the Capital Region. They use Imposter plant-based cheese which is a local product made by a small business in Troy. I love that small businesses are supporting each other like this. The beer is excellent too, we were looking forward to having the red ale since I spoke so fondly of it but it was tapped out. I had a really good mango IPA which hazy doesn't even begin to describe! It's really nice inside and on Sunday it had just become warm enough by mid afternoon, they opened the big garage door and let some fresh air in which was no nice after such a long winter. I think I can speak for my coworkers and I that we will be coming back again soon so please keep those vegan options stocked up! read more

I was disappointed that I could not attend Yelp Albany's recent event at Bye-I-now-Fallside Brewery a few weeks ago. So the next time I scheduled a brewery crawl in the area, I made sure to come here. I submitted a business page update regarding the rebranding, but at this point, I don't know whether Yelp will simply rename the existing page or create a new one for Fallside. For the time being, my update goes under Bye-I. The new space is great. I had no idea how much bigger it was until I walked a ways inside, and I was equally impressed by the cool artwork. The beer is, of course, as tasty as before. We seated ourselves in the back to enjoy our pours, and within a couple of minutes, a server dropped off food menus and attended to us the rest of the evening. Had I read my recently obtained copy of the March-April copy of local "True Brew," I would have known that several of their dishes were featured in it, specifically their beef stew and mac & cheese. But I had the Chicken Caprese sandwich, which came with steak fries perfectly cooked and obviously cut in their own kitchen. We were checked on frequently, and as we were finishing up, their Friday evening music session was starting. Food and drink here are reasonably priced, and I feel the quality of both were just as good, or perhaps better, than what you get at "those larger breweries" along Broadway. Of course I'll still patronize them all, but for me, Fallside has the edge in this part of town right now. read more

I don't why everyone hypes this place up. It was highly disappointing. Service is ABSOLUTELY ATROCIOUS!!!!! After waiting 25 minutes before getting any service of any kind (we sat ourselves and no one came to our table), our waitress delivered the menus and never came back. We waited about 40 minutes before finally one of us decided to go to the bar to ask to place an order. Food was subpar. Pizza was fine. The chicken sandwiches had no flavor whatsoever, it was noted that the only flavor you get is from the fried part. Cannot recommend this brewery enough. Visited previously when was Bye-I. Visited again on Saturday evening 6/27 and had an even better experience. Don't let the name change (Fallside) fool you! This place is a hidden gem! Absolutely amazing beer and delicious food! Beer selection always has something new on tap (Experimental 22 is excellent!) but they offer seltzers and bourbon drinks also. And the food menu isn't huge but they have something for everyone. Their hot honey and pepperoni cowboy pizza is always amazing but their smash burgers might be my new favorite and the best around! Everything is always served hot and the owner and staff are amazing! Fun atmosphere and good food and beer! Great spot for a get together with friends. The beer flight is a great deal for only $8. The buffalo chicken quesadilla was enjoyable as well, also reasonably priced for $13. The server was friendly and welcoming. I would certainly go back when in the area. read more

Took over 2 hours to get our food, service was terrible, needed to go up to get additional drinks, no one r we old cash us out waited over a half an hour to pay. Ended up going to the bar to pay and waited another 15 min to get anyone since the help just kept passing by. Terrible is the best I could describe the place never again read more

Come for the beer, stay for the food. Bye-i continues to be a draw for Cohoes and now that they're doing food, they've got the best wings in Cohoes (no contest in my mind). Been a member of the mug club for a couple years now, which is a great deal if you get the "First One Free" option. You can see my mug in the background of my two photos for size. Larger than a regular mug and a couple mug club parties per year, you can easily get your investment back! Stopped in to check out this new brewery in Cohoes the week they opened. Was very impressed with the space - a little bit of Williamsburg right here in Cohoes. Nice. I liked the fact that the brewing equipment is visible from the bar. Can't get any more local than that. We tried all of the beers they had on tap for the opening and they were uniformly excellent. We especially liked the pale ale and the coffee stout - both were outstanding. Of special note was their Jalapeño Pale Ale. Now beer is fun to play with, but it takes a brewer with some skill to add something like Jalapeño to a beer without making it a 'one and done' gimmick. The brewers at Bye-i must have some skill as the Jalapeño was present enough to make itself obvious but subtle enough that I wanted a second pint. Quite a trick that shows great promise for this new brewery. They had a nearby caterer providing food while we were there and the cheese plate was excellent (and very reasonably priced). Bye-i is a great addition to the local beer scene. We can't wait to visit them again (and you shouldn't wait either). read more

This large street-side storefront, now a newly refurbished into a brewery, just officially opened July 2020. Unfortunately, there were only a few beers (all made on site) available on tap during my visit. I understand this was partially due to the overwhelming response of the debut weekend, but overall, the selections look promising. While serving beers and filling growlers, the personal, enthusiastic brewers gladly described several more beers that are in the pipeline, due out in the next two weeks. Also, I was informed that although there is no food made on site, they have developed agreements with several nearby restaurants to order-in evening appetizers / snacks, and this has worked with some success over the past week. The spacious decor is a mixture of industrial piping, corrugated sheetmetal, brewery artwork and comfortable chairs. Strange, but it works. I have high hopes, and am looking forward to returning soon. read more

Food is fantastic, but the food is made at a nearby restaurant - not sure if it's owned by the pub or vice versa, so there is a little bit of a wait... but well worth. Stopped in Sunday afternoon since I was already in Cohoes and I am never in this part of the Capital District. There was plenty of on street parking and I found a public parking lot steps away from BYE-i. I tried a flight comprised of four five ounce pours. The owner also gave me a generous five ounce sample of the Experimental IPA. Every beer was excellent and I was impressed with the variety and quality of each beer. My favorite was the Vienna Lager, nutty malty and refreshing. There was a big crowd and I easily struck up a conversation with bar guests. There were also several dogs! The brewery and bathroom were clean and there were several TV's to watch NFL. A few suggestions to make this brewery even better, offering more portions sizes in addition to five and sixteen ounce. A "Leave a Drink" board is always fun and perfect for this neighborhood vibe. QR scanners instead of paper menus are great for cleanliness and you have the beer list saved to your phone even after you leave. I highly recommend this local brewery. read more

Amazing brewery. I love good craft beer and am therefore critical of inferior brew. This brewery did not disappoint. The atmosphere is laid back and well lit. The decor is modern rustic with a stunning bar top, high top tables, and chairs surrounding barrels. Really well set. The bartender was friendly and accommodating. He answered questions and was always readily available. On the night I arrived they were serving food from Monocle which was absolutely delicious and a breeze to order. The beer was very good. The Habanero Pale Ale was smooth with just a tinge of kick to it. The Dam Oh IPA was a great juicy/hazy brew. My favorite was the "Not Your Breakfast Juice" DIPA which hits you with a wonderful citrus smell before it even touches your lips. I would highly recommend this brewery if you are in the area! read more

I've been here enough times to give a fair review. I've visiting on various days of the week and always experienced the same. The brewery is always immaculate, it's such a unique spot with tons of cool furniture and fixtures. The bar is amazing. the staff is always fantastic. The beer is always delicious. They have a great selection, something for everyone. The food is catered but also really great. I'm picky about bathrooms and theirs is always spotless. It was recommended to us to check out Bye-I Brewing and it did not disappoint! It's located in Cohoes and the parking was super easy. Plus it's dog friendly. Taylor was behind the bar and it's so refreshing to have excellent customer service. She was so friendly and attentive. Didn't miss a beat while the keg had to be changed. Level 11 expert She knew the menu and made recommendations. Even got my husband to try a spicy cucumber seltzer. So refreshing and a great summer drink. They do a lot of events and Saturday they had a DJ. At first the music was a little loud and the owner went over and adjusted it. So nice! They have a great selection of beer from dark to a wheat watermelon beer all with super endearing names. We will be back with our puppy!
