Allied brewing company is a small but very fun local brewery. A great stop following a hike at Thacher State Park. There is indoor and outdoor seating, and the outdoor seating has a great view of the mountains. There is occasionally live music, and there are some corn hole games set up to keep things interesting. Importantly, there are so many beers and ciders to choose from! There is a beverage for every kind of beer and cider lover. They also have a small food menu for snacking, and are right next to a farm store that sells amazing baked goods. I highly recommend this brewery!

Not overly sweet. I could smell the raspberry when I was drinking it. It has vibrant raspberry color too. My favorite dish here is the chili. Not too salty but well seasoned. Perfect consistency. A variety of seating was available - near windows, near the TV in the back, outside, at the bar, standing at one of the 2 pinball machines, etc.. The current beverage list has 6 beers (3 IPAs) and 2 hard seltzers. Flights are very reasonably priced at 4 6oz. pours for $10, which can include the hard seltzers. My favorite pour was their Bennie Brown Ale, but I was pleasantly surprised by the hard seltzers, particularly the raspberry, for its crisp, fresh, flavor - not quite so much for the cherry lime, because I thought those two flavors canceled each other out. Food is not available, but there is a blackboard near the entrance (and the swag) which lists the entertainment and food truck schedules. Their website has an "on deck" section which currently doesn't have anything listed, but I'm hoping for interesting changes to their beer menu over the upcoming months.

The U-pick experience was fabulous, with a great variety of apples available. We picked both Gala and Honeycrisp apples -- the Honeycrisp were a clear fan favorite: crisp, juicy, and perfectly balanced with just the right amount of sweetness. The Galas were equally delightful -- did you know they're a cross between Golden Delicious and Kidd's Orange Red? Originally developed in New Zealand in 1934, they've definitely earned their reputation as the ideal lunchbox apple with their sweet and mild flavor. Pick-your-own runs from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM daily, and the weather couldn't have been better for it. Afterward, we stopped into the farm store (open until 6 PM daily) and were impressed by the variety of apples and other local goods available. To top it off, we grabbed a cider donut (delicious, of course!) and checked out the newly rebuilt cidery and brewery. The space is spacious, modern, and very welcoming -- clearly designed with comfort and community in mind. Staff were friendly and made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend a visit -- whether you're there to pick apples, sip a cider, or just take in the fall vibes. A lovely outing all around!

My boyfriend liked several of their beers so he opted for a flight of four - their Brown Ale, Red Ale, Extra Special Bitter and Ordinary Bitter. I went with a glass of carbonated Sangria from a Niskayuna-based winery, Capoccia Wines. I had no idea Niskayuna even had a winery! He really liked their beers and I loved the Sangria - it was so refreshing and fruity. It's super spacious with a bar area and adjoining room with more tables and corn hole. They had signage for a corn hole league that just ended. They also have an attached store with equipment for home brewing. Highly recommend stopping through! We loved chatting with Roger about the brewery and about his travels too.

The beer is good here, and so is the art of conversation, which, to me, is equally important at a brewery. They let us sample a few items before settling in on our chosen pours. I loved the eclectic setting, and for me you can't go wrong with 60s and 70s music (yeah, I was around for all of it).

If you're visiting the Cooperstown area or anywhere in upstate New York, this is an absolute must-see. We've been coming here for years, and every visit reminds us why it's one of our favorite breweries. The staff is always professional, friendly, and attentive, making the experience enjoyable from the moment you arrive. We live in Texas and were in Cooperstown for a baseball tournament, which gave us another excuse to stop by. I had enjoyed Ommegang's Belgian-style beers for years, but this visit gave me the opportunity to explore more of their lineup. I was impressed by the variety of styles available, and everything I sampled was exceptionally well crafted. The food was excellent as well. The poutine was a standout and tasted every bit as authentic as the poutine I've enjoyed in Canada. It's not always easy to find great food at a brewery, but Ommegang delivers on both fronts. The setting is truly remarkable. Located on a 140-acre former hop farm just outside Cooperstown, the property feels more like a Belgian monastery than a brewery. The beautiful buildings, open spaces, and wooded surroundings create an experience that is worth the trip all by itself. The grounds are impeccably maintained and provide a perfect backdrop for enjoying a pint. Having been open since 1997, it's clear that Brewery Ommegang has had decades to refine both its beer and its operation. Everything feels polished, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed. Hands down, this is one of the coolest breweries I have ever visited. Great beer, excellent food, fun activities, beautiful scenery, and outstanding service make Brewery Ommegang a place that we look forward to returning to every time we're in the area.
