    Pretzel

My husband and I are big brewery fans and always try to visit as many local ones we can find. It's a smaller spot than some of the other ones but we were able to get the last spots at the bar. They also had an acoustic musician playing a good assortment of millennial music. The had little bowls of candy all over which was a nice little treat. The bartenders were super friendly, and invited to participate in this flight club. We went with a flight of beers because it's the best way to try a group of beers. My favorite was the Sajulus which is a hazy IPA. I should preface that I have a weird relationship with IPAs, I appreciate them and really like them in flights but I don't want to order a pint of them. However this IPA was mild and had clear citrus notes. My husband's favorite was the Werner's 1884. He's a huge fan of German Beers. For my pint I did one of their seltzers which was customizable with syrups, it was good. My husband got the Big Daddy O'Lappers which Is an Irish ale,he liked it They also served pizza and pretzels, we ordered a pretzel. The pretzel was pretty good it came with cheese and mustard. They had pizzas as well, we didn't order them this time.

    Live music. Don Ferlazzo pictured.

If you've never been here before, I highly recommend trying two items in particular: 1. Beer cheese dip 2. BBQ (Or any other) mac & cheese I should note that the BBQ mac & cheese (previously the Memphis BBQ Mac) recipe has changed over the years, so this review may not hold forever. That said, mac & cheese in general has been the most reliable item on the menu for me. I've tried plenty of other dishes here over time -- fish & chips, burgers, fish and chicken tacos, and nearly every mac & cheese variation -- but I'll stick to reviewing what we ordered on this visit. This time around, my wife ordered the fish and chips, and I ordered the BBQ mac & cheese. The mac & cheese was delicious, and the BBQ sauce added a nice sweetness that paired really well with the pulled pork. The fish and chips were also very good. The fries were a bit soggy, but since we ordered to-go and they had to survive the drive home, I won't knock them for that. Portion sizes here are fantastic and easily justify the price. I love this spot -- it's a dependable comfort food destination for me. The staff are always helpful and knowledgeable, especially when it comes to beer recommendations. The building itself is gorgeous and massive, giving the space an impressive sense of scale while you enjoy your meal.

Food was fresh & delicious. Beers & drinks were good, the fruit blond beers are definitely beer first, not strong fruity taste. Corn dip - good but very onion-y, almost too much but still different enough to eat it all. Watermelon salad was really good, unique. The chicken sandwich with slaw, wonderful. Burger - spot on! Recommend highly - something for everyone here plus quality beers & sours.

We frequented this place over the past two weeks while taking care of a family member in their final stages of life. Pita and Olive became our family's go-to spot for comfort food. We all ordered various plates from kebabs, falafal, beef and lamb pitas, chicken bowl, and sides of their delicious rice. While running errands a few days ago I actually stopped in JUST to pick up a side of rice and a small cup of their creamy dill sauce (which tastes amazing on everything). Fresh ingredients that are seasoned beautifully and plates that are crafted to satisfy and bring happiness to your tummy and your heart. I want to thank Pita and Olive for providing us with nourishment during some pretty chaotic and sad times.

The addition of the coffee bar/cafe menu has only further endeared me to the place. Just like their food, many of the components of the coffee menu are scratch made, including the milks. They make a pistachio, almond, and oat milk all in house. There may be more too, but those three I know for certain. The attention to detail is also impressive, such as the presentation of each beverage. The cups the drinks are served in aren't just pretty, but also sturdy. Which as a clumsy person, I appreciate. Harder for me to spill. Ha! Something to keep in mind about the cafe menu is that since everything is mainly scratch made or ordered special (their Matcha is from Japan) they will be out of things at times. But there's nothing bad on the menu so I humbly suggest going in with an open mind. The lack of one item being available has caused me to try others, and I haven't disliked anything! I hope they continue to do well and are in the area for a long time to come.

We had a small private room upstairs in this historic building with original wide wood floor boards and staircases. I ordered the Craic --grilled roast beef, sautéed onions, provolone cheese, horseradish mayonnaise on a baguette($18.00) which was served au jus. The beef was tender and the baguette was fresh. It was large so I ate have and took half home. Delicious! I also had the French Onion Soup (along with three others.) Sadly, it was spoiled for me by a completely soft/soggy bread slice (mush) below the cheese top. I quietly removed it from my bowl. However, the broth was flavorful. I remember it being excellent. Reason for 4 stars instead of five. My grandson enjoyed the Shepherd's Pie. Since he is a growing lad, he also had the well made fries. The three salads ordered were excellent. One salad had salmon, one had Buffalo Chicken, and one had beets and goat cheese. Generous amounts of protein were served. The children enjoyed the toasted cheese sandwich, Mac and cheese, and waffle fries. The Wings were good. The extensive menu is easy to read with a variety of exciting food choices available. Always something new to try!

Was it a mistake to order their spiciest wings on my first visit? Would the price I paid for the combo meal justify the quantity and my satisfaction with it? Do the patrons REALLY watch those music videos? Well, it's definitely all about the chicken here. That first bite of a boneless wing with the Spicy Galbi was indeed a taste-bud-awakener, but after that it was all flavor and the right level of crispness. I definitely wanted more. The fries were interesting. They were nicely crisp, and they were lightly covered with some kind of coating that was both subtly spicy and subtly sweet. They were certainly fine, but I'll explore other sides on future visits like the cole slaw and the pickled radishes. The price for a combo, $13.99 plus tax and tip extra... well ... since I'm really here for the chicken, maybe next time I'll just order a big batch of wings and do something else instead of (the starchy) sides. Those music videos... today they were all from a K-pop girl group known as aespa, evidently quite successful internationally. Clearly I am not their target audience. But as background music, it was pleasant enough. Since it's roughly 15 minutes from my house to here, ordering in advance seems like the way to go. It is indeed worth it for the chicken.

I'm sure there's an Albany location for this Korean fried chicken chain and I remember being put…read moreoff when I first looked it up a few years ago, although I'm not sure by what. The fried chicken with their "secret sauce" is one of the better versions of what I consider to be authentic, so my rating is based mostly on this. Things that would've made for a 5- star experience relate to the ultimate Korean fried chicken and pizza joint in the Atlanta region, where they play a Korean TV show on mute (or music videos, although I almost never watch them with intention) and have utensils and crockery that at least remotely make you feel like you're dining out if you decide to eat in like we did.. For example, bb.q only had plastic forks and not even a paper plate. And regrettably like many Korean fried chicken joints in the U.S., they charge separately for sides such as pickled radish. Speaking of which, they charge $0.95 for a little cup of radish and most of the mass was liquid, forcing me to ration even though we ordered two of them. Moreover, one of the radish cups clearly had been sitting out and they still served it, as I overheard the front staff say to the kitchen staff, "I need two radish.. actually, only one, there's one sitting out here already, I'm not gonna waste that." Anyone who knows and appreciates the crunch of the radish that complements Korean fried chicken will understand how this affects the radish and the diminished enjoyment. On a positive note, the chicken was tender and the sauce, although not one of the best I've had of its kind, was more like the authentic sticky and sweet 'yang nyoem' that I've come to love. There was an unidentifiable note to the flavour of the sauce that I didn't like but it didn't detract completely from enjoyment. If there was a half star rating I would consider 3.5 stars. Then again, I'm glad there's a decent Korean fried chicken joint in our neck of the woods away from big cities, and I wouldn't mind going back. I hope they continue to improve.

The clams were absolutely delicious! Reminded me of the fried whole belly clams we get in Maine: the coating is light and compliments the clams beautifully. The portion was plentiful, too. My husband ate onion rings and coleslaw for his sides. I tried an onion ring as they looked so good. The absolute best onion rings I ever tasted. I ate an order of grilled broccoli and coleslaw slaw with my whole belly clams. The broccoli was seasoned perfectly. Their coleslaw is slightly crunchy and lightly dressed, just the way I like it.
