I forgot to include in my previous review...they left a piece of tooth in the socket after they "pulled" the tooth out....she pulled so hard, the "plier" flipped out of my daughter's mouth and some of the tooth went flying across the room! .... My daughter said she will NEVER go there again and pull her own tooth before going back would ever be an option. She is going to a real dentist to get the rest of the tooth removed. They do not seem to care at all! I had a crown put on my front tooth. It totally fell out! When I went back to get it fixed the dentist told me it was done wrong and will have to be totally redone and insurance won't cover it so it's $1500 out of pocket. They office "manager" said she would contact corporate and see if they could help with cost but the dentist that did the work is no longer employed there... ********PATIENT BEWARE****** ****** PULLED THE WRONG TOOTH****** If i can give a zero i would.Originally I called them because my tooth was broke and infected bleeding and discharging they were great, Originally, they got me right in the same day i called. I was in pain, very grateful they were able to see me.. They give me anti biotic and a 495 dollar bill to have it removed. I at the time around yr ago to this date was unable to get the work done at the time because i have other health issues that took precedent. I took my antibiotics and was good until now to present time last Thursday i call fimila dental up let them know that the same tooth i was in here before was now bleeding and discharging fluid swollen. Agian great, got me right in i go in i pay the 19 dollars they xray whole mouth meanwhile, could physically see it bleeding and now was broke off to my gum line.. They now give me a quote for 295.00 plus 19.00 exam. Ok cool cheaper thsn last time for some reason, Also, they can take it out now. Well Dr chubtie (sorry if misspelled) i received no documents with his name on it or Antibiotics after procedure. So he made me comfortable and pulled the WRONG TOOTH, he doesn't pull the one, bleeding and discharging and BROKE, he pulls my wisdom tooth out instead. HE GETS DONE AND RUBS THE THE I THOUGHT HE WAS PULLING AND TELLS ME THIS TOOTH NEEDS TO COME OUT TOO. WAIT!!!WHAT?????? THATS THE.??!!? WHY?!! so now im confused why he would pull the tooth with nothing wrong with it? I came in because i was in pain for the tooth thats broke and bleeding and infected and u pull out my wisdom tooth.. Dr made it my fault at that point said he pointed at the tooth" i cant see what hes pointing at" soo he pulls the correct one out says to me i got a 2fer1 .. Now i have no tooth on that side for chewing meat. I left there after having 2 teeth pulled when i came in the to have 1 pulled the broke bleeding and discharging tooth to be removed. That did not happen. It now is my problem i cant chew meat on that side of my mouth and when i brought to there attention they took zero responsibility.. It's one of these ones...had an appointment weeks ago, got confirmation a day prior even, went to appointment just to hear from the staff that the "doctor" wasn't there today. BUT I cannot make a new appointment with them, I have to call instead...yes, you heard me right, she is standing right there talking to me, BUT I have to call her to make an appointment. What is this? I don't know why, but I actually did call once I arrived home, but midway through the call I decided to find a different provider. She got all numbers wrong and confused me with someone else as well, MIDWAY through the call. Unbelievably unprofessional. read more

While doing an extraction the tooth broke (which is not their fault) however the dr asked for a few supplies and was told the supply cabinet was locked and the girl had left with the keys. A procedure which should have been fairly simple turned into a nightmare because they did not have access to basic supplies...what if someone had an adverse reaction to something and needed access to those supplies?!?! SO after all was said and done the dr did not have DEA licensing so she could not write a prescription for anything other than ibuprofen! So I ended up at the ER the next day! Then a few days after I was having severe pain and had to go back to la familia ( I had an appointment) it was an hour before they called me into a room even with inquiring a few times and was told it'd be less than 5 mins.....after they FINALLY took me to the room it was another 45 minutes before the dr came in! I have filed complaints with their home office and even that is a chore to try to get ahold of anyone! STAY AWAY FROM THIS HORRIBLE PLACE! read more

We went to see the Doctor Mandiga S for my 3.8 year old daughter Oral examination. Dental Hygienist/ Nurse cleaned the teeth which supposed to be done by Doctor. Doctor came after some time and spends 2 mins with us, with in one min she just saw inside the mouth with Eyes and said there are no cavities , I surprised how we can do that with in min. She did not identified Tartar on front teeth which is clearly visible until we said about that and did not pay any attention to that, because of this we lost confidence on this doctor and unhappy over her treatment. And she even did not gave any instructions or talked with kid about brushing etc..... But Dental Hygienist/ Nurse is very good in handling Kids Will change the doctor next time. read more

I usually do not do this but I felt compelled to warn my friends and family to be careful of going to Familia Dental. If you want billing problems, please visit this location. Our insurance was supposed to cover my daughters visit but did not because the family medical deductible was not met. When I called Familia to get the New patient special of $19, I was informed that because they had submitted it to insurance (who did not pay a dime because of the deductible) that they would not be able to change anything. They told me that instead of the full price of $178 I only had to pay the $93 contracted price. When I asked repeatedly to have the $19 price, since insurance didn't pay anything, they refused saying "it was already submitted to insurance". Unbelievable! So if you have insurance, please don't use it or tell them about it because you will pay almost 5 times the amount of the new patient special. Also, their managers are always in "meetings" and do not return phone calls. #familiadental read more

Horrible experience, if I could give less stars I would. I had an abscess in my tooth explained on the phone I needed an extraction and how much pain I was in an that I had been in the er the night before because of it. I get there an I expect to wait no big deal there but then when I go in back and sit down and I'm clutching my head and waiting almost a whole other hour after xrays and hearing the staff complain about how it's such a bad place to work an were about to just walk out. Then I finally see the Dr an he brings me a treatment plan which yes included my extraction but was trying to do a root canal that day on a different tooth that had nothing to do with my pain for one and also told me it was 500 for the root canal an that it wasn't covered by insurance for two also asked for antibiotics which I was refused. I was so put off by them trying to make me do this root canal and ignoring the tooth I needed pulled I left and went to river valley oral where they right away pulled the tooth an after addressed other issues that weren't putting me in pain. Also after talking to some people who were surprised that a root canal wasn't covered I checked my insurance which Does cover 80% my root canal only cost me 130$ so if you do go there know what's covered by your insurance so they dont try and rob you. read more
