Long story short, I wrote him a check for $167 for "parts" and he never came back, never refunded my $ or gave me the parts he said he ordered. He made promises and did not fulfill them. Would not even provide us the product number he said he ordered. Spoke with the representative/owner who told me he would be here between 11:00 and 1:00 Saturday. At 3:00, after he hadn't shown up I called to see if he was coming. When he answered the phone he sounded like he had been drinking and was at a party. He claimed he had been under a house all day and was not able to make a call. When I suggested when he gives a custom a 4 hour window and is 2 hours outside that window, a call to the client is a necessity he told me he wasn't the phone company and maybe I should call someone else. The refrigerator in my house didn't work. I called Family Appliance. The business owner Ricky came to my house on May25th. He diagnosed refrigerator and suggested to replace motor control of compressor. And he promised that he can fix it. He asked me to pay full amount $283(he told me that new part has 3years warranty!) I issued check to him same day. He left my house after repair, he old me that he will call me back two hours later. Unfortunately he hasn't fixed the refrigerator, 2 days later he came back and checked it again, same result. He promised again that he will fix it within two days. Next day, he told me that he will order a compressor. Long story short, he hasn't responded my text messages and voice mails , although he has told me that he will give me refund . Yesterday, he picked up my call that he will come over to tear down the part and pay me back,( I told him during holiday that I had to buy a new refrigerator, the new one will be arrived this Sunday). however, he didn't showup or give me a call or return my texts as what he told me. Unbelievable! This company is not customer -oriented , the owner is not professional who has very poor attitude. and they cannot be trusted. I highly recommend you DO NOT CHOOSE this company . Came out to fix a couple of refrigerated units in one of our break rooms. He "repaired" the units, and told us we should be all good. We paid. (BIG Mistake) Within an hour BOTH units we had him repair were not holding temp. I called and the wife said Rick would be back out in the morning. Well, of course no one showed. When we called back, she said he was arrested yesterday, and she had NO idea when he would be out to fix his mess. Of course he never fixed it... No refund either. The owner Ricky came at 8:30 at night on an emergency call. I had a leak with my refrigerator. He was the only company who would even provide emergency service for me. He was so thorough and figured out the issue. I did not even need parts. He thoroughly vacuumed out the dirty coil and really checked out everything. He also left everything very clean. Very polite. I called Rick based on his reviews on Yelp to fix our dryer. He came out the same day for the repair. He was later than the window provided, but apologized and offered to waive the service fee. He was very friendly and even completely vacuumed out our machine. He showed my husband exactly what had happened and walked him through the repair. He even checked our outside vent to ensure it was clear in the pouring rain. We would recommend Rick to anyone and will certainly call again should we have any problems. read more

DO NOT HIRE!!! Rick incorrectly diagnosed our fridge, however, said it was fixed and would take up to 24 hours to fully cool. He accepted payment of over $300 and on the receipt, it notes "any issues just call 3 yr on parts 90 days labor 30 days service call". The fridge began making noise again 30 mins after he left. I contacted him, he said he was ordering a part and would be back to install once it came in. Contacted this service based on locality. I normally do not give reviews . This case was especially discouraging when I explored the problem in more detail. Since my problem involved an LP gas stove/oven a the danger factor was involved. Personally I would caution anyone to using this service. Service on my oven was incomplete and the diagnosis was incorrect. His procedure did not show safety when he failed to shut off gas and unplug the stove before beginning looking at the oven. Rick replaced the igniter based on his experience and did not listen to my description of the problem. The stove did not work properly when he finished, did not come up to temperature as previous and was leaking gas from the safety valve. I shut off the gas and contacted Rick several times after he left but he never returned my call. Spent $160.00 for inaccurate diagnosis, failure to use safety precautions, and leaving my oven essentially uncorrected. I was able to narrow the problem to the safety valve. A lesson learned for me. I would give negative stars if possible. This guy was 4 hours late and when I called there was no response even though I called multiple times. The next day I called again and was told he got busy and couldn't call me. He came finally and seemed to know what he was talking about. We paid $150 and hoped the kegerator was fixed. The next day or still wasn't working and so we called back. We didn't get and answer after repeatedly calling and texting. Finally we used a different phone number and his wife said he had a seizure and was in the hospital. We asked for a refund and one was promised. After being told their bank account didn't work and they would get it to us soon and all hear other problems, we called the Better Business Bureau. The BBB told us they couldn't contact him. DUH! We are not the first ones with this problem. If you want to just pay your money and not get anything fixed these are your guys. read more

This repairman up front is very honest and knowledgeable, but is completely unprofessional. I tried to be patient with him, but he set up and then no showed to 4 different appointments. He didn't even call or text that he wasn't coming. Now he isn't responding at all. Obviously follow through and courtesy are not important to this business.
