Wonderful experience! Our microwave (an expensive GE profile) stopped heating. Joe from Capitan made it out the next day to diagnose. While we needed to order the parts, he came back and put them in. I would have loved it if the diagnostic fee was put toward the total fee like other companies do, but it wasn't a deal breaker. I used this company about a week ago to repair my washer. The technician was nice enough and after a little searching found the problem with my washer. Turns out there was a wire that broke and needed repair. I was disappointed that the technician's solution was to tape the wires together rather than soldering, crimping, or using push connectors so that the wires would not come apart in the future. Unfortunately, I do not feel that this repair will hold up in the long run. I don't understand why a better solution was not offered! Moreover, I did not receive an invoice for the services provided. I would like to know, in writing, what the warranty is on this repair. I requested this the information but never heard back. Paying almost $200 for around 20 minutes of work and a piece of tape doesn't sit well with me. Update: I recently spoke with a representative from the company. He extended my 90-day warranty, an additional two years. I sincerely appreciate the gesture. I will probably use them again, if needed. read more

Great service at a reasonable price! Our oven was r heating up and needed it fixed asap. I sent in a request Saturday morning, by Saturday afternoon I had a confirmation for Monday morning to come take a look at our oven. Tyler Metzger was the technician. Called Capitan Appliance Repair after my first repair guy fell through! They were amazing to work with. When I called, I didn't get anyone but received a text a call back within 10 min. The guy took down the model number, asked me what was wrong and was able to get a tech out to me later that day! I could not recommend Capitan appliance repair enough! I have been struggling for 12 months to figure out why my brand new whirl pool washing machine could not run though an entire cycle without flashing the error signal for low-flow. I couldn't manage to wash a load without starting on normal, run for 30 minutes, error, then restart on quick wash. I will admit that I thought it could have been impacted by our houses hard water level, so before I hired a 3rd professional to come out and guess again, I connected an electric water softener. After I realized that hadn't helped at all, I accepted defeat and searched for an appliance repair tech. Capitan has such great reviews, and I am so glad I reached out. Joe came out less than a week later to take a look and corrected the issue for us! It turned out to be that the water valve it was hooked up to, just wasn't open enough. As silly as I felt, he was the 3rd person to look at this exact valve!! I paid plumbers who told me the valves were open to the washer, but it turns out that it was just very very stuck and needed to be very gently and slowly opened. Joe spent 15 minutes just barely twisting it until it was open. He didn't break anything (every other professional kept saying if I moved this valve it would almost certainly bust) and he didn't try to just start replacing pieces in my washer before he checked everything out. Joe was also super friendly and did not mind our 2 goofy but big dogs. He was very kind and considerate while in our home.
