The old days of Walmart having half a dozen Huffy bikes on a rack are long gone. Today's bikes are serious business, with some costing hundreds and even thousands of dollars. Impulse buyers by nature, our trip for a helmet also found us bringing home new pedals, some wheel pegs for doing tricks, and a tube of grease that cost more than what I use in my truck. Truth be told, I've used this shop before when I used to mountain biking and trail riding, their prices are fair, the staff is knowledgeable, and they have a great selection, with bikes, tools, gears, and a full service shop on site.?

By the time we were done there was a line outside of people waiting for parts,, needing repairs & shopping also. Impressed that the bike has a lifetime warranty & free tune up in 6 months. The store was large we would have enjoyed exploring inside, we will be back because I'm now thinking about a new by too.

I said you told me an hour and I thought maybe he didn't have my correct number. He was like I will text you when it's ready and could not give me a time.The long and the short was he had the attitude that if I didn't like it I could go somewhere else. SO I DID. I went 5 blocks down the road to Conte Bike shop and the tech had me in and out in 10 minutes and said my tire was fine. $33 and done verses $70 quote and a waste of time. I know where I will go for my Bicycle needs and will not be at Treks.

Third, their guys have pointed out a couple of potential issues along the way which weren't part of the original scope of work, but nonetheless were pretty helpful to know as a homeowner. I know that pointing out issues is kind of like upselling, but it actually didn't come across as upselling because there wasn't any pressure to do the work. And that information you get is pretty helpful. The only downside to working with them is the price. They are by far the most expensive plumber I've worked with in the area. I kid you not, one time I got an estimate from them and as I reviewed their email in the middle of a Zoom call, I literally said out loud "holy fucking shit bro" not realizing my mic was on, which was a bit embarrassing. That said, I later agreed to the proposal because nobody else was available as fast. So yeah their availability and their quick response time is definitely important to me. I don't always use Mike's, sometimes they get undercut on price by a company that can come out quickly. But I know that when I do hire them, I will be in good hands, though with a lighter wallet. Four stars. Keep them in your contact list just in case!

SIMPLY THE BEST!!! I have been going to Family Bicycle in Lake Worth for years and as long as I've had my bike. In fact they are the only place I'll take it to. They have done everything from installing my purchases from them of both rear basket frame & basket, safety lights, handle grips, inner tube, brakes, and advised me on best theft proof bike lock to get from them. Also many times and kinds of adjustments including front rim straightening, brakes, lube chain & gears and many complementary tire air fills. Just this week I had them do a complete bike tune up. Not only does my aging bike run like new now, it also looks almost new as they washed years of grime away! This is a family owned business which is extremely friendly, and truly honest, fair and incredibly thorough! Great Father & Son who are very personable! I can't imagine what I would do without them! Never have I been so happy to write a review for someone. When other bike shops told me it would be months before I would find what I was looking for new or used - I went to Albert at Family Bicycle and he had one of my favorite bikes I've ever owned at a great price! I have also had to come back in for a few maintenance issues (flats ets) and the service is great. When you buy a car, you don't think of the guy who sold it to you every time you get in the car. But almost every time I get on my bike I think of Albert the owner and how great my multiple experiences with Family Bicycle have been. A+. read more

Albert helped me find 2 bikes. I had a knee replacement and my partner is just out of the hospital for 6 weeks. He spent the entire afternoon sizing the bikes, finding just the right ones and gave me a spectacular deal and all the water I could drink. He is even coming to my house to adjust my partners bike. Our doctors want us to ride in order to get some exercise. Albert made me feel like family and did not rush or pressure me. Love the staff! Went to rent a bike while me and my boyfriend were in lake worth. They have great rates better than some other places and were very friendly. As me and my boyfriend were leaving, they realized there was a problem with the seat and had no problems fixing it! I was even offered a basket on my bike to help carry my items in my hand which was great! I had a great experience here and I will definitely return. Also, service was quick and easy! We were very pleased with the service, Albert and his father in law are everything that's said about them in their reviews. The customer service and their expertise is second to none. We rented 2 bicycles and we're given a helmet, lock, basket a map and a cold bottle of water as advertised. This shop, Papa Wheelies, is the exception. They've been perfect on all points. The mechanic "TJ" (Tom) is very nice, humble, helpful, informative, thorough, and fixes your bike quickly at a very economic price. Not only is TJ very helpful, but he's never once given me the hard-sell with the: "you should really {upgrade/buy newer equipment/replace/etc} this, instead of fixing it." My wife has also been in to see him without me, and TJ was very respectful of her. In my experience with other shops, many want to show you how much they know by belittling your knowledge and/or equipment. This shop was the opposite experience for my wife, here they treated her with respect and listened closely to her concerns without belittling her knowledge of bike equipment, etc. Even better, TJ has turned around my bike faster than every other shop. Sometimes while I wait, without any complaints or high fees. All around excellent shop. Highly recommended!
