My freakin washing machine broke down on the middle of the cycle. So I searched for the nearest laundromats and found this place about a mile from my house. This place is in a mall right next to Dinahs chicken. Parking lot is tiny but fortunately, found a nice spot to park. The place isn't really big but it was clean and big enough to get my job done. I used the $6 Speed Queen machine which only took like 23 minutes. I was out in no time. Bought a new washer and hope I don't have to return again but if I have to, this will be the place. read more

Too many broken machines before so I went else where. Now under new management with new dryers. I come here once a month. For the second time I see a person w/o a mask and I ask the employee to ask the person to put on a mask. I was ignored and she seemed to careless about the situation and care more about chatting on the phone. She was on the phone entire time I was there and I had to sit in my car b/c the guy had no mask on. Owner should check up on their employees more often and also educate employees about no mask no service. I will not be coming back here Good luck everyone read more

My go-to laundromat (writing this while I'm waiting on my washer to stop lol). Never too crowded, machines are always working & the staff keeps it very clean. I drive past two other laundromats to get here because it's coin laundry (vs rechargeable cards you can only use at specific places) and I get in and out fast with no problems. Other laundromats I've been to have a lot of bugs because of the door being propped open. Family Coin never has that problem. Bonus: it's next door to Dinah's fried chicken so you can always get a lunch while you wait for your laundry to finish. read more

The washer and dryer have not been accessible in my apartment unit for over 3 weeks and counting so I had to find a place to do my laundry. This is my 3rd time here because the first place, which was closer to my apartment, was too crowded with erratically functioning machines. So even though it was much closer than this place, I don't mind driving here to use their reliable machines. The cost for both washer and dryer seems to be standard but what I like most is the quiet atmosphere and for a smaller place, it offers everything I need to get my laundry done efficiently and without added stress. Last week I left a bath rug behind and when I called to see if it was found, I received a call back in minutes with the picture of it even asking if it's the right item. I know it's just a bath rug and it may seem meaningless to most people but it meant a lot to me that they took the time to look for it, recover it, and then to hold it for me until I was able to return to retrieve it later that day. I've been to so many coin laundromats in my life and I have to say that I feel very fortunate and happy to have found this place. They got my business and will continue to get my business! Unfortunate circumstances at my apartment drove me to search for a laundromat that is clean and in a safe area. Although there are several closer to me than this place, I choose this one for all my laundry needs. It's right next to a Vons, which is convenient if you are scatter-brained like me and forget your detergents. Inside, the laundromat is well-maintained and has several machines of all different sizes. I've been fortunate enough to never have to use a laundromat before, and the large front-loading machines have very clear instructions for those of us who are newbies. The owner is very friendly and is frequently spotted greeting customers and tidying up the place. I have never had a problem finding machines, whether its a weekend morning or a weekday evening. I can usually get 2-3 loads done in approximately 1 hour. I really couldn't ask for much more from a laundromat. read more

Do NOT do your laundry here! The Armenian worker is SO rude you wouldn't believe it! She asked me why I was getting coins and I said uhh to do my laundry! She followed me to the washer to make sure I was doing laundry! When she saw I was doing laundry the whole time she was just staring at me!! This is America lady and you shouldn't be treating paying customers like that!! NEVER again will I do laundry here after doing my laundry here for over 10 years!! Needed to do laundry badly and came across this place while over in Los Feliz just to wait for traffic to die so I could get back to the west side. I decided to do laundry here because I had it with me. Didn't look great at first sight but I'm very pleased with everything. Especially how SUPER CLEAN the folding tables are kept to the point I actually used them. That's not something I would normally do. A decent coin laundry with everything you need to get your laundry done when your apartment's machines are all taken by the weekend storm. I come here for solitude during busy laundry days and find myself finishing parts of books I haven't opened in months. The name suits itself. It has a family vibe to it with all of the little restaurants and shops in nearby. There's even a Vons walking distance if you want to be adventurous. The staff is usually helpful but you need to ask for what you want. Machines are all in working order. I haven't seen one break down on me yet. It's a dependable spot with nice open areas to fold laundry as well. One woman helped me after seeing my multiple failed attempts to fold my bed wrapper. That was nice. Prices are decent, but the lot can get crowded on peak days and hours. Usually weekend afternoons. the price is not bad to wash but when it comes down to drying your clothes it is not the best you spend around the same price like if you were washing your clothes again if not a little more. the machines are outdated. i have came to this place twice and same thing don't think ill be coming back unless they update there dryers. read more

I went here last night for the first time. I live in Atwater and have been trying to find a laundromat that's central enough so that I can get other errands done while waiting for my clothes to wash and dry. This is next to Vons and centrally located enough in Glendale that you can run any erroneous errands if you really want to. The place is clean, and I didn't have any problems with people or the machines. Will I come back here? Absolutely. Even if it's just because the ecstasy of completing my grocery shopping while my clothes dry is basically more than I can bare to handle. read more

Very clean laundry mat. They have several on load two loads and three loads machines. One plasma tv for entertainment. A vending machine with laundry products for your convenience. A nice seating area for your convenience. And 24he surveillance cameras for your safety. They also have an attendant on site in case you need them. They also have a sign that says that machines are inspected daily. Overall it's a nice place to wash. The only reason for the 4 stars and not 5 is the price. $2 for a single load seems a little pricey for me. Most of the laundry mats I've gone to by my house are $1.25. Another thing is the parking lot. It's very limited and right. But will come back again in another emergency I have from work. Bring your own quarters! There are 2 change machines in the middle of the room that don't accept $20 bills. The ATM of course only gives $20 bills, so those change machines are useless. Before leaving to get change somewhere else, I noticed a 3rd change machine on the side wall. By the time I put my $20 in that machine, I then noticed a hand-written sign stating that this change machine was not for customers (then who is it for?) and it charges a fee based on the size of your bill. I had to pay a $2.50 ATM fee and then a $2 change machine fee just for the privilege of putting more money in these old, rundown machines (that charge above average prices already) inside of this below average laundromat. Why, why, why does your change machine charge me $2? Won't be coming back here. read more

Used to be my favorite laundromat. Right by my apartment, predictable slow times so you can plan on going when it's less crowded, even the owner (middle aged Korean man) would offer patrons free coffee while they waited. I don't know what happened. For starters that lovely man and his free coffee disappeared. Last time I was here there were 8 or 9 out of order dryers. Not great. Currently, there's 16. SIXTEEN!! Out of about 30 total dryers. I would say it's been over a month since I've seen anything less than 5-6 dryers marked out of order. It's slow right now, maybe myself and 3 other customers. I'm waiting for dryers to become available. This is ridiculous. I won't be back. A few months ago the price of a wash went up, every size machine increased by $0.25. Utilities become more expensive, especially when you consider the drought, so that's fine, but you have to keep the machines working. I'll absolutely go out of my way not to come back here. What a shame. read more
