I entered the laundry at 8:10 pm and was told I could no longer wash one load of laundry. The gentleman working there had all of the isles closed off. When I asked him why he was closing everything down if closing time showed 10 pm he said he didn't care and that I could leave if I wanted. It was a bizarre encounter and so I left. read more

I've been coming here since they've opened many years ago. I'll do the pros before I do the cons. Pros: -there's always parking unless it's a busy weekend. -it's usually always clean -the workers are nice and are helpful when you need help -the washers are really good at cleaning clothes Cons -the dryers DONT WORK. I read the owner's previous comment about how the price for gas went up which justified the rise of the dryers. I read his comment and understood so I kept coming back and paid way more than I ever have before. I was willing to pay more to dry but now the dryers don't even work anymore. I kept notes of which ones work or don't and I update them. I sometimes forget to update the list so don't rely on it since the machines are always unreliable. The straw that finally broke my back was 1 dryer I always used because it was constantly good didn't even dry my socks. I paid $1.25 for my socks not to be fully dried. They only thing in the dryer were my underwear and pillow covers. The pillow covers are super thin but came out a little damp but my socks were moist. Conclusion I don't mind paying more to wash and dry my clothes I do however mind that I feel like I'm getting ripped off. I wash my clothes here once a week since this placed opened and I've never been so disappointed at how the dryer situation isn't being addressed by the owner even after I left my last review about 10 months ago. Thankfully I have a car so I can go somewhere else further but I feel sorry for those who don't have cars so have to rely on coming here. read more

I came in to do my laundry It was reasonably busy today and a worker approached me and stated "you can't get quarters, quarters are only for customers!", I said how do you know I'm not a customer? On a slow Monday night my dryer at home broke. I didn't realize it until my wash cycle was already done, so I brought my wet clothes to this laundromat nearby. It's surprisingly expensive but whatever. As soon as I start my clothes an employee here starts hassling me about their "policy" that you can only dry clothes that have been washed here?? I would maybe understand if there was a wait, but there are literally dozens of dryers available. Also this "policy" wasn't listed anywhere. Honestly, I really like coming here. It's always clean and their washers don't smell funky. As of recently though, they have increased their prices and it's ridiculous. I was there a month ago and noticed the single load machines were 3.75 plus drying is 0.25 per 5 minutes. Most of they're dryers don't even work well so you end up spending a lot of money on just drying alone. I understand inflation is hitting all of us but omg!!! read more

I want to highly recommend this laundromat. My washing machine broke so I had to find a place to do lots of laundry. I read many review here on Yelp and still could not decide, so I went with the closest place to me and I'm glad I did. There is plenty of parking in the parking lot and it is very, very clean. The attendant, who I think was the owner was very helpful anytime I asked him a question. The machines cleaned very well and dried well. I like that there were tables inside where you can sit. I took my laptop and worked there while I waited for my laundry. I would not hesitate to return and will soon to wash my winter blankets. read more

No, it's nowhere near where we live, but new Electrolux front loaders, the largest of which can handle up to eight loads of dirty clothes? (Those big boys require $6.75 in quarters, by the way) Hellz, yeah!! This coin laundry is located in a strip mall on the corner of Verdugo Road and Arthur Street. From the street, you'd never guess that there was laundro-heaven here, and in addition to new machines, flat screen TVs to help you pass the time until your unmentionables are, once again, mentionable. Did I say it's clean? It's clean. There are vending machines, a (relatively) clean restroom, and also, there is an attendant keeping the place orderly. In fact, as our little laundry errand wore on, I believe the owner, an Asian man, came in and started working the place, This place definitely isn't Lord of the Flies like some laundromats can be. Oh, and the best thing about the new machines? If you happen to use liquid detergent, you don't need to hover and wait for the wash cycle to pour in the soap so it'll get into the drum with your clothes; these new Electrolux machines have a special reservoir for liquid detergent, so you can pour-and-forget. Another great thing about this laundromat? A cafe called Lemon Poppy Kitchen shares the strip mall just a few doors down, so if you don't feel like foraging from a vending machine, there's a little hipster joint selling really good coffee and really good baked goods. We've been going here for a month or two already. We use to do laundry at El Paso and Eagle Rock, but it is always crowded now anytime and some machines are not working. Going back to Verdugo Plaza Laundromat, this place is very nice, clean, and simple for what you need to do your laundry. Most of the washers and dryers are new and clean your clothes the way you want it. They have long blue tables to fold your clothes, flat screen TVs to watch the World Cup, Arcades, Vending machines(drinks and detergents), and a coin changer that can give change to $1, $5, $10 and ALSO $20, which is very convenient to everyone with bills. The owner always smiles to people which is honestly a plus for the business. If the owner is happy that means the service f the place will always give happiness to others too. read more

My first time using coin laundry and I went to this location. I was not too familiar with the machines but the guy that worked there was very helpful in showing me how they worked as well as another customer who gave me her opinion on which machine she thought would be best for me to use. Everything was very easy and simple to use the only thing I did not like was that my clothes did not smell as good as if I washed them at home. However I noticed that the guy who worked there was sanitizing all of the machines and countertops. The shop was clean & not overcrowded. read more

I wish I could say that it was a pleasant wash and dry but it wasn't . I am writing this as I am finishing up drying 3:15pm. I went to my car to wait for a 2 loads of laundry to dry (15 mins ) exactly when I came back it was taken out not even 5 mins after it had finished both of my load where wet when a customer who had taken the dryer told me the manager ( short gentleman with a mustache ) in charger had taken out my clothes to give it to him . This was appalling . When I went to go ask for my clothes he said it's there and as I am checking it is still wet when he tells me he had to take it out ??? What does that even mean ??? I asked him if he had checked if it was dry and he said no . I asked for a manager and he said he was and then proceeded to yell at me saying that he doesn't care and that the owners number was outside . The customer who TOOK my dryer started yelling and me with him and said that he knows the owner to not worry about it . The "manager " then proceeded to walk away and then came back ABOUT 15 mins LATER OUT OF NO WHERE and started YELLING AT MY WIFE HOW THERE WAS GHE OWNERS NUMBER OUTSIDE IF I WANTED IT WHEN WE WERENT SPEAKING OR SPEAKING TO HIM HE JUST CAME TO HARASS US AFTERWARDS . The gentleman who was working was incredibly helpful and even checked in to make sure that my clothes were drying properly because (being a noob) one of the dryers I picked apparently is known to go on the fritz every once in a while. Super clean, some tables to sit at as well as benches, and some decently priced vending machines are definite perks. Also plenty of TVs scattered throughout to watch the news or what have you. This place is clearly popular, but it wasn't overcrowded. Plenty of machines of different prices and capacities to choose from. And the dryers here WORK. Everything I brought was dry in less than an hour, and I brought several blankets and towels. The owners clearly care about this place and the overall customer experience. The top loading machines are actually much larger than they appear! Very nice crowd; free wifi. Driers are top notch; if you're not drying a large cotton-heavy load you may even have your load dry in 12 min (25 cents). Tip: do not use powder detergent in the top-load machines, unless you dilute it really well first; it clumped up on me as I put in my clothes first (DONT PUT YOUR CLOTHES IN FIRST; I should have followed instructions on machine). read more

I'm so upset with this place. I went in to do laundry and was exchanging my bills for quarters. This guy steps out of the office and tells me the coin was for customers only. I politely tell him that I'm a customer and was exchanging my coins first. I started loading my laundry and many of the machines are " Out of order", so now my clothes are all over the place in different machines. I started putting in the quarters and the machine ate some of my quarters. I tell the guy in the office and he says, "it works for me, if it doesn't work for you then take your clothes somewhere else". I can't take it out now since they started washing on some of the machines! I told him "I'm not even trying to get my $00.50cents back, I just wanted to let you know so other people don't lose their quarters. Never again I will be doing my laundry here.
