I would like to speak with someone...ANYONE from Big Lots in Toms River about what I found in my couch cushions but no one will return my calls or emails. We purchased some furniture back in September and since we got it there was this weird cracking sound in one of the BACK cushions on the loveseat. We jokingly referred to it as the "empty water bottle" seat whenever anyone sat there and leaned back against it. It sounded like an empty water bottle but I figured it was just part of the construction. This morning I had enough with the sound and found a zipper underneath that back cushion. I didn't realize there were zippers on those because they aren't removable so why the need for a zipper? Anyway, I unzipped and reached my hand in there and immediately felt a stinging pain. I pulled my hand out and I was bleeding. I got some gardening gloves and pulled out what was in there and it was a half of a crumpled monster energy drink can. Sharp edges and all. It seems to me that it's someone's idea of a joke and I don't find it funny at all. I've now cut myself on someone's nasty can AND I do t know what else is in my loveseat. Are you kidding me?? I could have done some real damage and I'm waiting for an explanation from Big Lots as to how the hell this crap can happen. That is so dangerous. They tried to deny what they did, but I had the shank replaced elsewhere not long before , because another jeweler thinned it out. I also made the jeweler bring out the old prongs to compare. They did make the corrections after I fought with them, but it never should have had to fight to have my ring fixed in the first place. Please remember to: Have your jewelry formally appraised. Buy diamonds that are certified by GIA with a serial number engraved on your diamond, so it can't be switched . Bring your paperwork with you and review your diamond through the microscope yourself to confirm your laser etched serial number.
