It's hard to find cute boys' clothes that aren't sports-themed or obnoxious (or both), and this place has a good selection of adorable stuff. They also have a lot of accessories, blankets, burp cloths, toys, bibs, diaper bags and nursery decor. I remember seeing a few strollers here, too, but they were way too rich for my blood. I find that high-end baby clothing boutiques tend to stock the things grandparents like to buy for their grandbabies. Most parents wouldn't dress their own kids in such impractical, overpriced finery. ...But that's not the case at Charlotte West -- their clothing is edgy, cool and stuff you won't find at big box stores. Which is great, but OW, my wallet. The people who work here ignore me every time I go in, until I walk up to the cash register. I would love for one of them to offer to help me sometime, but I guess it's not worth it to them unless I'm dropping a grand on a stroller. (Last time I was there, they were busy with a woman who had a registry.) I'll keep going back, but I'm finding I spend less and less each time.

I wasn't expecting to walk out with my mind made up but I am very happy to have taken the drive and get my items delivered in a short lead time.

The woman at the register was incredibly sweet, however a couple minutes after we entered, another woman came into the store. Im not sure what the woman's name was, but she was an employee. We got there about 10 minutes before closing although we were unaware of that until the other employee brought it up. We apologized & responded by saying we were just trying to get an idea of what the store had and didn't plan on staying past closing. The woman responded with "well some of us have places to be & lives to live". She came off as very rude, despite the other employee insisting to her that she would be fine alone, and that she could leave early. We got there at about 5:20, and the door was not locked, nor did the register woman mention she had an issue at all. My husband went back inside after loading our kids up to explain to the nicer woman, how off putting the other had been, and that it's deterring us as new customers to come back. He went back to iterate that behaving that way was just very rude of her, and we also wanted to ensure that she wasn't the owner of the store. 1 star off for that woman, 4 stars that maybe could become 5 depending on our next visit which will hopefully be a better one. I don't know if she was having a bad day, or an emergency, but we did not appreciate her demeanor towards us, especially in the presence of our children. We sent a shipment of handmade items to her store 4 months ago and not one piece was return. The owner now avoid making payment for them. We have been contacting the owner for the past 4 months and were either given false info that check was mailed out or constantly being told to call back another day! We find the store's owner action to be very unfair and certainly create mistrust in a small business environment. We hope that Ann will do the right thing very soon. Karyl Asch, the owner has given me one-on-one service by suggesting just the right item to fit my home. Many times, she has let me take it home and see if I like it before paying for it. She also has come to my home and offered home decorating service for free. The quality of each piece is evident and her price point is very fair. I have purchased throws, frames, trays, candles, furniture, pillows, coasters, vases and furniture. She also wraps my presents as an added benefit. When Karyl isn't available, Arlene and Michele are super salespeople as well. I would go out of my way to find her store in the Alexander Plaza on Route 9 South in Manalapan. They have four or five dressing rooms with a designated attendant who stayed in the area so there was no waiting for rooms to be unlocked, which I greatly appreciated. She was kind and helpful as well. All of the clothing was in good condition from what I saw. There's also a range of sizes, including plus size. The racks are organized by size and color which was incredible and makes looking for items so much easier. There were many people working at this store which was a plus, in case you had questions or needed help. I enjoyed my experience and would return if I was passing through the area however it did feel a bit overpriced to me. This store is advertised as a consignment shop, which might be why the condition of the items was better than stores like Goodwill, and the pricing was higher. Most of the shirts were about 10$, which again felt a bit high to me. I did get lucky and found some work pants for 8$. Like I said, I'd come back if I was in the area but I've enjoyed my time at other stores more than this particular one.
