The lower end of dollar stores these days. We popped in to see if they had any picture frames,…read morebecause I couldn't remember which dollar chain sold them. Spoiler: not this one. The inside was sort of a mess with items that had tumbled into the aisles. The vibe was general disarray. There were actually two cashiers working, to my surprise, and the lines moved fairly quickly. I had to choose the line with the girl who wanted three balloons, of course. The cashier had to leave the register and fill all the balloons the girl shouted at him. Apparently DT is woefully low on nearly all their selection of birthday balloons. No 274? No 256? This girl yelled about 17 different balloon numbers at the guy, and 95% of them were out of stock. We have a bargain balloon crisis here, people. Anyway, our cashier was very pleasant and as quick as possible. Well, he could have told the girl before us which balloons actually WERE in stock. But we had a good time laughing about it anyway. I definitely recommend hitting this place up for party supplies and holiday-themed junk you won't need the other 364 days of the year. Greeting cards are also a steal at $1 or two for $1, depending on what you get. I refuse to buy $4 cards anymore. DT (and all dollar stores, really) are a big money saver in this department. Two stars because DT really isn't innovating much. Other dollar stores are upping their game when it comes to their perishable and non-perishable foods and other offerings, as well as cleanliness and organization.

I came here one weekend and found some great deals and was super happy with my experience. Even some Goodwill stores have higher prices and Tampa Thrift seems a little more boutique style then it is true thrift so you just have to come in with that mindset, or don't come if you don't like it. What I like that they do here is a lot of big sales. Each day there's a specific tag color that's 50% off, and this is where I found some really great pick ups. They also have one weekend each month where the whole store is 50% off, which is super cool and probably the main time I'll come back. I thought the store was fairly clean overall. They do have a couple dressing rooms if you prefer to try stuff on, and a bathroom. As with most thrift stores, there's at least twice as many women's clothing options then men's. But as a woman I was impressed with the selection and range of brands they had here. They had a good selection of blazers, not only for men but specifically women's too- I found a super nice one almost brand new for $10. There were quite a few shoes as well- sneakers and sandals and in between, I snatched a cute lil pair of heels for like $7. Another nice thing, they had a lot of kids stuff here. I've found at most thrift stores it just depends if they have kids items, especially clothing but they had a whole section here for kids clothes, as well as toys and stuff. I was happy with my visit here and will definitely be back.

I'm honestly furious with how Black Friday Deals handled this entire situation. I understand they…read morehave a no return policy -- that's not the issue. This wasn't a normal return. They charged me for items I did NOT intend to buy, items I never asked for, and to make it worse, these were damaged products just sitting on their messy, cluttered counter. The place was such a disaster that it was easy for these items to get mixed into my purchase without me even realizing it. Since no itemized receipt is offered and an added "surcharge" is tacked on, it makes it even easier for these practices to go unnoticed since they move you out so fast. And when I tried to correct THEIR mistake, they hid behind policy -- a policy they somehow think makes this type of situation acceptable. This isn't customer service. This feels like a company using a deceptive business practice and refusing to take responsibility for slipping damaged items into a customer's purchase and then acting like it's the customer's problem. People deserve to know exactly how they operate before spending a single dollar with them. Honestly, it's embarrassing that a business thinks this is acceptable behavior. If this is the standard they're proud of, that says everything anyone needs to know.

The Black Friday Deals and Discount Store is a bin-style discount shop that sells overstock,…read morereturns, and liquidation items from Amazon and other major retailers. The store operates on a tiered pricing schedule: items are restocked on Thursdays (when the store is closed), and Fridays start at the highest price point--$10 per item. Prices then drop each day until Wednesday, when everything is just $1. If you're looking for the best deals, I recommend going on Tuesdays or Wednesdays. Even if you're on a tight budget, you can find items worth gifting or reselling for a profit--everything from electronics and beauty products to home goods and gadgets. If you pay with a credit card, expect to be charged a small additional fee. One experience worth noting: I picked up a multi-pack of false eyelashes, wrapped together in one plastic bundle, but was told at checkout that I had to pay for each item individually--even though they were clearly packaged as one. I found this frustrating and chose not to purchase them. Digging through bins does require time and patience, and yes, you might feel a little dusty by the time you're done--but that's part of the bin store experience. It's not for everyone, but if you enjoy bargain hunting and don't mind getting your hands a little dirty, this place can be a goldmine.

I never liked shopping because I was constantly comparing my body to the way I thought clothes were "supposed" to look on me; I was always overwhelmed and discouraged in big-brand stores, consignment shops, and small boutiques. It turns out I don't hate shopping - I just needed help from people who care about inclusivity and understanding. The clothes and jewelry are priced fairly and organized well. Being a member is worthwhile - I often pop in the day of an event I'm attending and walk out with a perfect outfit catered to my style and comfort.
