Recently stopped here on my way to the Detroit wanting a new place to stop at. They say no shirt no shoes no service but however at this place there is a man in his bathing suit shopping around with no consequences so the standards are pretty low here. They have a great selection of food and drinks too at a fair price. Rash was here are fairly maintained. When traveling from Chicago to MI, it's the first easy exit to get off. Very convenient, clean place to fortify up for the I-94 haul into Michigan. Easy access from interstate. Multiple food options like Starbucks, Mc D, Taco-bell located near by with drive thru option. They have Google and Apple Pay option. Well lit and felt safe. read more

Not a lot to say here.. It's a gas station with a mini-mart. I will say one bonus id the E-85. It's a buck a gallon cheaper than unleaded regular and the rental car took E-85!!! Winner!!!!! Especially since it was my turn to fill the tank. The market is chock filled with beverages and little snackies to curb any cravings you may have!! Easy off and on the freeway make it convenient and there's even a traffic light to get back on the road so you don't have to cross the busy street trying to get out!! Friendly staff and the place was clean at the pumps and inside! When heading South into Illinois stop here because in 3 exits gas goes up 50 cents a gallon!! And if you need something a little more than snackie they also share the parking lot with The Greasy Arches!! read more

Five stars for location, convenience and cleanliness. Great stop heading westbound out from Chicagoland. The exit is right before the traffic picks up and a few miles before I-80 toll road. A few other amenities at this exit are McDonalds, Starbucks, Bass Pro Shop Outdoor World. read more

We always stop Here when traveling. The family express in portage and exit 19 we have been stopping yet for almost 20 years when traveling. We stopped and got a few wrap sandwiches like always Except this time they were bad. My husband and I have been sick for a whole day. Brought it to the stores attention and they said they wouldn't tell the manager for a couple days when she's back in Monday and would not pull the bad sandwiches. We will not be back in after this experience! We understand if things can be bad but the way they handled this was horrible! Since the health department was closed over the weekend he did call and reported this to the local police dispatch and they said they would go to the gas station and handle this! It is really too bad that we had to go this far or others not to get sick and they would not have done this on their own! Not OK! read more

Really friendly staff. Great carwash. Good milk prices. I used to come here almost every day but not anymore. The reason: Premium gas prices are a WHOPPING $.60 more per gallon than regular. Continue one exit east (21) or west (16) if you need premium, where its only $.20 (west) or $.30 (east) more per gallon than regular for 93 octane. If you live local, youll find better pricing on US 6 than this location, which tends to be Family Express' most expensive. read more
