I called them in in the morning hoping to have an appointment as soon as possible and with luck they made me an appointment the same day! Came in and loved how clean the place was and looked, definitely had a lot of glasses selection and the young girl who helped pick my frame was the sweetest. On top of that the eye doctor was super clear on the process and even had my glasses made the same day! The only thing was the lady who I was helped by with purchase gave me attitude when I asked a question about the extra additions to the glasses. I was looking through yelp to find the first optometrist that could help me at the moment. They had an appointment that could take me right away. I was blown away by their professionalism! I am usually accustomed to the usual "vietnamese" way of business which can be harsh and to the point, but that did NOT happen here. The front desk greeter was very personable and made me feel right at home. The doctor himself spent a lot of time with me, going over what my prescription meant. I've always known I had astigmatism, but I never knew what is actually was and how it effected my eyes. He really took his time and explained everything to me, which I truly appreciated. I came here from what I saw through Yelp. Everything still seems pretty accurate: $70 for an eye exam that would lead to a prescription for both your glasses and contact lenses. The entire process was very quick. Even though I had made an appointment the day before, the store wasn't busy when I came in. I signed my forms, had my preliminary examinations done, and then Dr. Ho came in to do a few more tests before confirming the prescription I would need. It took about 40 minutes; the process would have been faster, but Dr. Ho enjoys talking to his patients apparently. The glasses he has on site are vast. Most of them were outside my budget range, specifically the ones I thought looked nice. I ended up purchasing my glasses elsewhere, and have received so many compliments on them. So don't feel the need to splurge on the designer glasses here! There are other places too that have quality and fashionable glasses. So I'm giving this a 5 star because I couldn't see where I could deduct any stars. Dr. Ho was professional, patient oriented, and wasn't pushy in buying glasses on site at his store. If you are looking for a wide selection of Designer as well as affordable frames, this is the place. One word of caution, the parking is a mess and I recommend parking in the back of the building, off of Magnolia. Also approach from Magnolia and not Bolsa. I bought my first set of Kio Yamato's from here about 3 years ago. Just went back again recently and they really improved the showroom. You can see and touch 80% of the product. They have these neat display racks that the frames are secured into but you can still see them and touch them, just can't physically remove them. To try on a pair, you just ask one of their friendly lab assistants and they simply unlock it for you. Also all prices are clearly displayed on the frames. Keep in mind there is a discount on all the prices depending on which frame so don't be alarmed by the prices marked, they are for reference only Bottom line the selection is awesome and the staff is super nice and accommodating. I highly suggest going there if you are in the market for Designer frames at a great price with great customer service! read more

I've been coming here with my family for over 10+ years now! Dr. Dennis is so kind and helpful! He really takes the time to throughly explain what's going on showing you pictures and visuals! I usually don't like going to doctors/dentist/ optometrist offices because I get so anxious but here I never do! Also the ladies at the front desk are so helpful and never rude!! I found this optometry office on yelp and went because the contact lens exam was only $70!!! I had a great experience here. When I called the receptionist mader the appt. for the next day! No wait at all, and I went in on a Saturday. The Dr. was very nice, polite, professional and straight forward and honest, especially when it came to pricing. They are not trying to just make a buck or rip you off and will actually tell you where you can get the same product a little cheaper. Although if you would rather support small independent business owners than the big corporate chains than it'sdefinitely worht a few bucks more. I LOVE Dr. Ho. He has been my Optometrist for 15 years. Very thorough and caring, he always takes the time to answer my questions. EX: Me: what is astigmatism? Why do I have it? Dr. Ho: It means your eye is not perfectly round, and many people have it. Once, I had an eye infection while I was traveling. Called his office on a weekend. I think I came to this optometry for maybe 3 years? Dr. Ho is a very kind optometrist. I had good experiences with him every time I went. There was a time though where I had an eye infection and he prescribed me eye drops for it that ended up costing $80 for a small bottle but I guess it was my fault for not asking beforehand so make sure you do! His employees however is kind of a hit or miss for me. The first year I came to this optometry, which I'm guessing is 2012 or 2013(or maybe further back??), there was this girl (with colorful eyeshadow) who helped me and my mom and she seemed kind of rude. She wasn't very attentive to what my mom had to ask and was just unfriendly to her when she tried to make conversation. It wasn't even busy would it kill her to show some good service? On the bright side, I'm glad to see that she's gone a few years later so that other customers don't have to deal with that kind of behavior. Other than that, I used to come here for contacts and they gave me a pricing of $45 a box for Air Optix (3 month pairs with insurance I believe). And a few months ago, I came for a new pair of glasses. The only guy that worked in the front there helped me and honestly, he wasn't very helpful. I asked him for opinions on which frames to get but he kept giving me dull responses like "it depends" with no feedback. At least tell me what it depends on and help me choose. Customer Service is the worst that I've visited, and the price are unreasonable even with 20% discount when ring up to make it like you just a great deal. Plainly too many old style eyeglasses at skyrocket price. Don't bother to bargain...they will ignore you and walk back to their safe haven counter and forgot that you even there. If mention that you have a coupon printed on their website they'll give you so many bs that you will end nothing. BTW...price tag is not the actual price. Ex: $278 for a pair will be discounted to $223. WTF...just tag it as $223, we know your trick don't be stupid. In conclusion, this place is a waste of your time to checkout. Spare yourself the trip, find an optometrist which guarantees you a prescription for a year or 6 months. I purchased Fendi glasses along with a 6 month supply of contact lens from here in August of 2015 (Total of nearly $450 spent including the exam for my contacts since insurance only covered one exam which I used for the glasses). Due to the sole convenience of being seen that exact day is primarily why I ended up here since my regular optometrist was booked for two weeks and I needed something quick. Within the first month I returned to have the prescription adjusted, it still felt odd, however since I had been told I developed a minor astigmatism I was told my eyes might need to adapt to the new lens, this included the glasses since the way they are is distinct from contacts. Unfortunately for me during this period I had no means of transportation so it was difficult to go every single week. It wasnt until I began driving February of 2016 that I noticed the straining of my eyes attempting to read signs as I drove. After a few headaches I went back immediately that same month, all I got was a sorry excuse that I should've came back immediately and continued returning until the prescription was perfect so I would need to pay for another eye exam for $80. Way to screw people over in less than a year after I spent nearly half a thousand at your place. In addition, thanks to the poor prescription/forcing of my eyes my astigmatism got worse which I figured out returning to my previous optometrist. Eyes are a vital organ! We know without vision our everyday lives become turmoil. Stay away from this greedy, ignorant company if you wish to keep your vision! read more

I had an eye infection and was referred to this optometrist. He was able to see me right away as a walk in. However he told me to try to break the infection in my eye by severly pushing on it. This did not work and after weeks of worsening swelling and pain, I went to an Opthamologist and was then told that breaking a chalazion(eye infection) by force is THE WORSE THING TO DO! instead of admitting he was not equipped to treat me and give a referral, he gave me HORRIBLE instructions!! I'm updating a previous review. I came in with vision problems in my right eye. Dr. Ho expressed a great interest in why I came to his particular office and it was because of the reasonable eye exam price, $70 for both eyeglass and contacts, and the decent Yelp reviews. He found that I had a corneal ulcer and prescribed medication (non-generic). I asked if I'd have to come back for a check up and he said no, that it would clear up. Perhaps, this is the norm for this type of eye problem, but my vision troubles did not go away and I ended up going to a different eye doctor for more complete eye care. read more

This is my first time here and I really had a great experience. I was just approved for medical yesterday and was able to make an appointment at Dr. Ho's office the next day. I came in for a comprehensive eye exam and was in and out of there in about 40 minutes, which is amazing. The staff was extremely friendly and had good bedside manner. Dr. Ho was very thorough throughout the exam letting me know what he was going to do step by step and went over in detail what was going on and my options at the end of the exam. He wasn't trying to sell me anything or push a certain product which I really appreciated.
