Orkin (5411 Bandera Rd. Ste. 307, San Antonio Tx 78238 Branch) use to be a great company but they have gone seriously down hill and I would stay far away from these dishonest and incapable people. They sold me a rodent ridge guard, pest control radian barrier for my attic and something called PC Standard-EOM7. I was misled about what it was I was purchasing. I was led to believe that the pest control chemicals were built into the radiant barrier and I was totally shocked that when the day came to install, they just sprayed bug spray around in my attic and put in cheap insulation barrier. They were suppose to do the entire attic but they missed about 1/4 of the attic but charged me for it anyways. Then no sooner than about an hour after they left, a lot of it fell down, they pushed some overhead ceiling lights out of their spaces and knocked out a panel of insulation from the floor of the ceiling. They came back and "fixed" it. They put the radiant barrier back up. Cleaned up the fallen insulation and tossed it away (ummm...pretty sure that is supposed to be up there), and put the lights back in place. I was then told that I owed them another over $2,000 because they can't do math. I signed a contract for a specific amount, I talked to the manager of the office about it and I paid the contracted amount that was agreed upon. He (James Junious) said that I paid what was agreed upon and he said the matter was closed, I did not owe any extra because I did not agree to the higher price and in fact, they never actually finished the promised job. I was promised the entire attic and that is not what they did. Fast forward several weeks and today, I get a bill in the mail for $2,327.86! I paid the contracted amount in full, I talked to James the day of the job and had this resolved. He told me it was resolved and now he send me a bill?! I tried to call the number provided on the bill and it answers and hangs up without giving me a chance to speak with a person. The job was a hot mess, done very unprofessionally and incomplete. They clearly have incompetent sales people who can't do math. I had a budget and it was where I wanted it to be. Had they been honest about the price or not trying to rip me off after the fact with a bait and switch scam, I would not have agreed to this service, which clearly they could not accomplish correctly. They are bug people, they need to stick to bugs and not try to get into construction. Leave that to the construction companies because they failed miserably. They still have not returned my calls to sort this matter out but I have paid in full and they are harassing me over their error. I am not happy at all with the work done, with the way it has been and is still being handled. I would highly recommend staying far away from Orkin. I will be firing them if I can ever reach them or they call back. Do not do business with them. They are not the credible and good quality company they once were. So disappointed! I have been using Orkin for over 20 years but that is going to be coming to an end as soon as I can get a hold of them. read more

We were disappointed by the pest control service for several reasons. Firstly, the treatment did not effectively address the issue--instead of eliminating the pests, it seemed to drive them indoors, worsening the situation. Secondly, we experienced inconvenient and unauthorized charges being deducted from our bank account without receiving proper receipts. When the receipts indicated no charges, we expected that to be reflected in our account, which unfortunately was not the case. Additionally, it appears that Orkin operated under a contract different from the one we agreed upon, with different schedules and payment terms. We did not receive our account number, which prevented us from registering online and accessing essential information. It was only after we called to inquire about the unexpected charges that we realized the worker had not performed the necessary tasks. After canceling the services, we took matters into our own hands, purchasing our own pest control equipment for less than $100. Within a day, we saw significant improvement, including the elimination of most spiders, even a black widow in our garage, and a noticeable reduction in insect sightings inside our home. Don't let them rip you off and fill out your own contract, don't let them write it for you because it's barely noticeable in the copy receipt. read more

The original appointment was for Friday, I was told that day was completely open. Then I got a call from Orkin saying that day was booked and to reschedule for Saturday, which I did. Then I got another call on Sat from Orkin saying that Saturday didn't work because they had a Christmas party the night before and no one was available and needed to reschedule again. I felt this was completely unprofessional so I canceled and decided to look at more professional companies that didn't have everyone call in for a hangover. read more

Every year they get worse. I have an annual termite contract, so I'm not sure what option I have. They bill promptly but that's about it.

These people damage your property drag out a settlement lie to you about information. They are not to be trusted. They lie to you. They will not follow through. They drag it out hoping you will go away. Do not use the lying people. Only a one because they won't let me do a zero. read more

I have been a customer with this company for over 1 and half year. When we moved they are very unreliable, does not show up on the appointments they made, when you call their hotline, they are unable to reach the guy that's supposed to arrive. Do yourself a favor, avoid the headache and get another company. read more

I called every "local" number I could find for this office, and it kept transferring to corporate. I want to talk to a live, local, person, as I need someone to treat my house before I sell it. Orkin, your failure to provide a live person, and your requirements are too stringent when I need flexibility. I am 850 miles away. I cannot be there. I cannot provide something in writing. You have lost a customer, and a chance to get a new customer in the future. read more

Called multiple times to cancel an appointment, never could get a hold of a human. Specifically left messages begging for them not to send a technician out in the morning, and the next morning a technician arrives, freaks my entire house of pets out. Wish they had listened. read more

I called Orkin this morning to set up new service. They were supposed to be here between 2 PM and 4 PM. They Never showed up. They never called to let me know they were not going to come. I guess COVID-19 has not affected their Company. They obviously do not need new business. I guess I'll give Terminix a try maybe they might want my business sense Orkin does not. Donnie is a great technician he knows his job and he gets it done thoroughly. He has been my technician for a while now and I do like him. I have a question on certain bugs or how to take care of some thing so they don't come in he does let me know on how to do it. Two thumbs up for a great technician and the people in the office are great so then I can make an appointment when I need to have one. Granted we are complete slobs, which obviously makes the roach infestation worse. So when the guy from Orkin first came out he told us to clean up and he would return in a week. We did as asked. He returned and said the place was 100% better and proceeded to spray. However, he did not caulk the holes inside and out like advertised and promised by the guy when he first arrived. Then my wife overheard him talking to his boss and he said we hadn't cleaned. So she called his supervisor, complained and got us out of the contract AND got us a full refund. Orkin is a joke! Do not waste your money or time. They have failed to notify me of service and have not been able to get indoors treated the past two times because they didnt let me know a date and time. Our technician has been a no call no show the past two times, they give you estimated times for services and never comply or notify you! I have called multiple times and just get the run around. Look for a different company! read more

I was supposed to have a service on Friday. I spoke with Elaine on Thursday letting her know no one would be home until after 5pm. She said this was no problem. The tech showed up 4:15 when no one was home it appears he sprayed outside at least the front since that all I can see on my camera. We gave him the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe he would return after 5pm to complete the service and spray inside the home. Nothing. No phone call, no note on the door. No communication. However my card was charged full price for half a service that I did not even sign off on. I called on Monday to find out what happened. Spoke to Elaine again who was apologetic and said someone would be out Tuesday after 5pm. Josh, a new tech calls me about 6pm to let me know he's new and running behind and if the service can be done on Wednesday after 5pm. I agree to this and it 7:25pm now and no one has called or shown up. The service has just been very unpleasant and we will not be renewing. read more

I have used these guys for a couple of years and have had troubles with scheduling in the past. Over the last year they had a new service guy who was awesome... Apparently he quit a couple of months ago and the new guy did not call to schedule with me, then did not show up when I did schedule him to show up and did not call to let me know he wasn't going to show up, then I was called and asked to pay my invoice and explained to them that no one has shown up. The very next day I got an invoice in my email stating that the service tech came at 1:01pm and finished at 1:03pm, however I was at my house at the time and this was not true. When I called to complain about it I was put on hold and finally just hung up. About 20 minutes later the service tech called me and said that he could be at my house this afternoon... But there's no way I would let someone dishonest who would send me an invoice without coming into my home. I called to cancel my contract and asked to have the invoice canceled as well. When I called they were not apologetic at all. read more
