I took my toy poodle in and Dr B was so nice! Just a kind and nice person who really cared about my dog. I loved it and plan on going back!

Took my husband service dog that was having vomiting issues for two days and he was very lethargic and his vomit did not smell good and got told that it was a stomach issue. They gave him a shot after taking x-rays to see if he had any type of blockage which there was not and sent him home with no change at all we called them back and got told that we needed to wait until the following morning so we decided to take him to the emergency veterinarian clinic and he died on the way there wouldn't take my worst enemy to this place not to mention it cost me $625 for my dog to pass away. Also reached out to the office manager the following morning to let him know what had happened. He said he would get back to us and we tried calling him twice and sat on hold for a very long time. I took 2 puppies in to have their booster shots, they charged me 74.00 a piece for the so called "comprehensive check-up, I told them that they had a complete check up on the two weeks ago, but they said that was their charge. total bill exceeded 400.00 for the two pups. Never again! read more

I have nothing but great things to say about this clinic. The staff and veterinarians are so kind and clear about our cats' health. I am confident my pets are getting quality care during their visits and the team is always so patient with any of the questions I have. We've liked the healthcare plans they offer as well and have both our kitten and senior cat on the plans. It makes paying for the big expenses much more manageable. read more

Brought my dog here for teeth cleaning and the doctor told me He needed to pull several teeth and he end up taking 11 he hurt her mouth so bad that she couldn't eat for over a month we had to force-feed her we had to take her to a specialist and eventually she died of malnutrition all because of this dr. That does not know what he is doing. She had such a bad infection that her body finally shut down. I have been threatened, slandered, harassed by this JOKE of a vet. This did happen in 2017 but everything I stated is 100% true. And they will say anything to make them sound better. Please look at there other reviews on other sites read more

I took my dog to see what was wrong with him and they gave me really bad news, which would have been fine had the vet not laugh the entire time she told me, she also told me about 10 times that I didn't have to treat it, have in mind this is an incurable life long disease. They told me I had to do another test there and then they were going to send me to Salt Lake City to do an ultrasound, we asked why we couldn't just do the ultrasound to begin instead, and she just laugh and didn't know what to say, they wanted me to spend more money at their facility rather than helping me take care of my dog. The next time I took my dog out, he was shaking the whole car ride which he never does. It may be unrelated but seeing another dog getting dropped off shaking uncontrollably makes me feel like it's connected. Please do NOT bring your dog here if you care about their well being!! Just HORRIBLE UPDATE: The business owner replied by again denying that their staff acted inappropriately. Unfortunately there is no way for him to have heard the conversation but no one asked for emotional reconciliation we asked for a note to be made of the inappropriate behavior displayed. I took my dog to this vet and a few days later received a call from marcel lee about how he may have a life long disease that is uncurable and will need to be treated for the rest of his life. This is already upsetting news, but to have the vet laugh the whole time she was talking to me was extremely offensive and unprofessional. I called to speak to the office manager to file a complaint and she said "ok" the whole phone call until I got upset and then asked "what would you like me to do" I regret ever taking my dog here Update: after posting this the office manager called me back to ask for a second chance at the conversation and told me she had not viewed my notes before speaking to me before (why didn't she leave me on hold longer to review them before then?) and continued to be unable to take criticism. Even if they were amazing with my pet I wouldn't come here, find a vet who is good with your animal and can speak to people without such pathetic customer service ability for the sake of yourself and your pet. read more

Our poor family dog was panting after an accident and they told me they could squeeze her in. I bent over backward to rush her in and they said they were too busy and wouldn't even let us inside. 15 years of business with them and I'm done with their compassion-less staff. Their treatment of pets isn't out of care for animals, but for want of money. read more

Great customer service during covid, we will be back! During Thanksgiving holiday my puppy developed kennel cough with escalating symptoms and I called ten vets to get her seen. This practice was very kind on the phone and put me in a wait list, the only place open that offered to do so. An hour later they called me back to have me bring my puppy in so they could try squeezing her in between other patients. I was so grateful! I appreciated their Google form check in as well as the follow up with how she was doing a few days later. read more

The Office Manager here was incerdibly rude. No class. Cuts you off when you speak. Puts polcies before people. Is disrespectful and demeaning towards customers (I can only imagine how she treats her office staff if she is willing to treat customers so aggressively and like objects). I would not have this woman running my vet. I am guessing she has chased many customers off. Even though I liked the doctor, it is not worth going there if you have to deal with her. I've been coming here for the past 2 years. I've always been happy with their prices and friendliness of the staff. However, I have seen a decline in customer service over the past several visits, I thought maybe it's just because they're busy or what not. But after the experience I had with them yesterday has really left me wondering why I chose this place and how they really feel about their repeat clients. I made an appt for my 3 aussies several weeks ago. The morning of my appt was super chaotic at my house and we had a family emergency, by the time we got all three dogs loaded up in the car and was heading there we received a phone call from a lady stating that we were 10 min late for our appt and where they were so busy with taking on walk-in clients this morning they wouldn't be able to see me. Although I had 3 appts, from 10:55 am, 11:15 am and 11:35 w/ Grant Madsen, yes, I was running a few min behind and I was 10 min away from their office. I had told her I was on my way and would be there shortly, that we'd be able to make the 11:15 appt and the 11:35 and they could work us in for the 10:55 appt that we missed or we wouldn't do it. She then stated to tell me that they were just way too busy and wouldn't be able to see me at all and on top of this, that I would need to pre-pay my future visit with them where I missed my appt. I was so furious, really, is this how you treat your clients that are running a few min behind, I understand things get busy and some things are unexpected, like things that happened in our morning, and with all that, and that's fine, I wasn't expecting them to throw down the red carpets upon my arrival and stop everything to see my 3 dogs. I feel like this could have been handled much better, and their office needs to teach their nurses or reception desk how to treat customers and make them feel appreciated. Great to call and check-up on the client to make sure they're still on their way, you could also let them know they are busier than expected and I may have to wait in the office, that's fine, I understand that, but to tell me not to even show up, where I would have been there for the other two appts and then tell me in order to reschedule I must prepay. I have always paid in full at the time of every visit. I could see that if I was a client with past-due payments and missed their appts. I really hope who ever runs this place has a serious step back look at things and how customers are being treated. The girl on the phone was very rude and shared the expression that felt like we don't value your business and we are not understanding that things happen and we may be running a little behind, but we're still on our way, basically I felt like you should take your business elsewhere. Very disappointed with they way they treated me seriously questioning what to do. I'll see if they try to reach back out to me and make things right. If not, I'd take your business elsewhere, after years of coming to them and then being treated like they don't value repeat clients is a horrible way to run a business. read more

I brought my dog in to the Family Pet Hospital for the first time today. The news that I received wasn't good, but they were so sweet and caring even though they'd never met me or my pup before. I ended up having to have him put down, and I'm so glad I took him to Family Pet Hospital. They really seemed to care, and while losing a pet suddenly is so hard, they really made it a memorable positive experience. read more

This is a caring environment with a wonderful responsive staff. We brought our kitten Nala in for her first check up and then for her to be spayed when she was older. The vets took excellent care of her, treated us with the utmost professionalism, and we would highly recommend them. Also - just a comment about the friendliness of the staff - they have been amazing every time we've been to see them. We're new to town, and they went out of their way to be helpful not only in regard to Nala, but in offering good advice about where to go to eat, or to take a nice hike. My husband and I were on our way out to Moab when all of a sudden or pups ear was bothering him. He was in so much pain all of a sudden and we had no idea what was going on. It was breaking my heart to see him in so much pain and frantically called around to find a vet that would take him on an emergency basis. I got ahold of family pet hospital and they said to bring in him no problem. They took him right back and the vet examined him in 15min tops. They came to the conclusion it was a foxtail deep in his ear canal and scheduled him for sedation about an hour later. We are so thankful that they took him in and took care of him right away. I wish we lived in the area because this place really truly cares about your pets. read more

We brought our cat, Hobbes, in for a fairly serious problem that easily could have required that he be put to sleep. Fortunately, the vet was able to recommend a course of treatment that literally saved his life. All of the staff were helpful, friendly, and genuinely concerned about Hobbes throughout the whole process. He is now better than ever. We will definitely be bringing all our pets here for care in the future. read more

Not the place for rabbits. We set an appointment for our rabbits to get checked to see when we should bring them back in to get them spayed / neutered. Due to a mapping error, we were very late. I would expect them to try and reschedule. I was also hoping they could peek at them and say come back in 8 weeks, 2 weeks, whatever. They did not want to look at the rabbits and told us that they didn't even know how old rabbits needed to be get spayed / neutered and that the vet that was in didn't do that and couldn't help us. They then referred us to a few other places, they didn't even try to reschedule. Rescheduling, due to our lateness is understandable. However, if they don't really do rabbits, why did they schedule us to start with? And especially for a day when the doctor that might know when to bring the rabbits in wasn't even there? I'm sorry I wasted their time by being late, but it sounds like it would have been wasted time either way. read more

I can't say enough about how amazingly they treated my dog while he boarded whith them. He definitely had a great time. The staff sent me texts and pictures to update me on how he was doing everyday. Knowing how well they treated him I know that I wouldn't take him anywhere else. read more

Dr. Madsen and his team are the most genuine, caring, and helpful veterinary team I have ever came across. I've been taking my dogs/ cats there for years and they've been treated with the best care, treatment, and respect I could ask for. They truly see 'pets' as family, and it's hard to find people like that. I couldn't imagine taking my babies, and trusting them with anyone else. read more

We starting to bring our dogs to the Family Pet hospital when it first opened. The service was excellent, in fact, we even boarded our dogs there several times. Last night at 5:00Pm our Male Boxer had a medical emergency. When I called, I was told to call the Pet Urgent Care in Orem! Do you know what it is like to hold a confused hurting dog that you love and try and find something to write with as they give you the number? They couldn't even bother to transfer me, how hard would that have been. So I loaded our sick and confused boxer in the car and headed over to Orem to find out it would be over an hour before they could get us in. Out of desperation, I called the after hours number for Nebo animal, and to my surprise, the Doctor called me right back. I explained what had happened he told me how to treat Titus and to bring him in first thing in the morning or call him back if anything changed. For all the money, time and investment into the Family Pet Hospital and to have them do nothing and I mean nothing, not even a simple call transfer. Then I called a Vet that I have not worked with or been to at all and am treated caringly, and with real advice. So much for the "Family" in the Family Pet Hospital. I hope no ever has to take their pet to their Orem facility after hours. Not a caring place, in fact, they seemed put out when we showed up and was told we would have to wait over an hour to see anyone. I guess with all the business you have now at the family pet hospital it is cool to push long-standing customers and patients away. Thank god for Nebo animal clinic! Oh...how you can improve is working out a better plan for after-hours care because you plan sucks. Also learn to transfer a call, that at least would be a big help in an emergency. read more

I love the Family Pet Hospital! I can't emphasize that enough. They are AWESOME. I took them my very sick rabbit, Ruby, and they were so good with her--and with me! I appreciated their tender care of her and how nice and patient they were with me, too. They're very professional but also very personable, and I felt like Ruby was in great hands. Dr. Madsen was great, as was every member of the staff that I interacted with. I felt like they really understood that Ruby is my baby and took care of her accordingly. I really can't say enough good things about them--but trust me, if you need a vet, you're not going to find better care for your pet anywhere. read more

I had to recently put my 14 year old dog down, this was a very difficult decision for me to make and I wanted to go with a vet that would be sympathetic to that as well as financially affordable. I had called around to multiple vets in the Utah County area (including the vet she has seen all her life) looking for prices on the euthanasia process. I was getting quotes from $65.00 to over $200.00! They all were charging me a fee to be in the room with her! of course I'm going to hold my baby while she goes through this! after calling around to ten different vets my boyfriend recommended this vet his family has always gone to. They were AMAZING! The entire process was comfortable the veterinarian was incredible and very very sympathetic to what we were going through. She ensured me I was making the right decision in giving my dog some dignity, and not watching her suffer. I was able to be with my dog the whole time with out any extra fees associated. All in all this vet made the hardest decision I have ever had to make more bearable. I know they were able to put my baby out of pain. I would recommend them to anyone!! read more
