Intentionally installed my tire wrong to force purchase a new rim. Refused to refund my money after putting tire on wrong. Stay away at all costs. Yamaha power sport is down the street and they won't scam you. It took a week and a half to put my tire on wrong, they lied constantly telling me they were working on it and would have it the next day. Go anywhere else! read more

Been going to this dealership on and off for 20 years. I have never experienced the problems stated in other reviews. Parts/sales/service are all top notch. Came from Lubbock to buy another adult bike (Kawasaki H2) .Wasn't a fan of how tall it was and felt like I was fllying versus sitting.. Left that day with a new Hayabusa instead. Paid cash and a week later I have plates bla bla bla. Have also ordered a new full exhaust and carbon fiber parts and again .. no problems. read more

Been going here for about 15 years. They were very friendly and always glad to help. Due to moving I was going to the Lubbock location until a month ago I brought my Ranger here. Not only did they charge me a ridiculous amount for a service, practically none of the work was done. Brake fluid was filthy, coolant wasn't changed and the transmission had the same paint mark on that was never moved to service it. Several years ago, I purchased a used Yamaha Waverunner from a man that bought it used at Midland PowerSports. They told him that it was a trade-in and that it had been completely checked out and was lake-ready. The man took it to the lake and it only ran 20 minutes before the engine seized. One of the most common problems on the 2-stroke Yamahas is that the oil lines fall off resulting in destruction of the engine. That's what happened in this case. Midland Powersports neglected to do a simple check of a well known problem on these engines and lied to the customer. The man paid $2500 for the Waverunner, with trailer. MPS quoted $3000 to fix it after only 20 minutes of use. They are under new management now, but I'd be very hesitant to recommend them for anything. read more

No Customer Service!!! During May 2013 I left my home in Tucson, AZ to ride to the Texas Hill Country. The right side foot peg broke on my Bonneville before I head left my garage. I threw it in my bag and took off. Midland Powersports was the closest Triumph dealer to my destination. I called them from Las Cruces, NM and explained the situation. I told the lady that they were several hours away from my planned route and asked if they would be able to fix it if I stopped by the next day. After consulting with the service manager she assured me they would be able to help. I arrive the next day, she remembered speaking to me and she takes the broken peg to a mechanic. When she and returns I am told the broken bolt was spot welded to the part and they could order me a new peg-it would be in in a week! Then they want to charge me about $45 (1/2 hour labor) for the five minutes they took to check my battery. I indicated that I would willingly pay for 1/4 hour labor and their bill was highway robbery. This was ultimately approved by the service manager. In the meantime, a salesman was feeding incorrect information about a new Honda to my friend. When he learned my friend didn't want to trade in his Goldwing he rudely turned away without saying a word and walked away. My peg.... Was fixed the next day by an independent bike shop in Fredericksburg, TX. In 15 minutes they ground out the old bolt, replaced it and put it on the bike-The service I had ridden hours out of my way to have Midland Powersports perform. read more

Absolutely TERRIBLE customer service. I cannot believe this place is still in business. I came into Midland Powersports looking to spend money and I pretty much had to convince someone to help me find the products I wanted. The guy in the front of the store was on his phone and the parts guy didn't even greet me, let alone help me. After standing in the parts section for 5 minutes I decided to talk to the gentlemen in the front of the store. When I asked him for help he dismissively said, "is there nobody in the parts department?" He then reluctantly decided to help me find one of the things I was looking for. But when another customer came up (who I assume he had spoken with previously), he pointed to where the other things I wanted were and left. read more

Not very customer friendly, while taking my son bike shopping, salesman would not let us test ride a used sports bike we were interested in buying, even though we had license and even our own insurance. Who purchases a used bike without test drive? Salesman claimed their insurance does not allow test drive of sports bike. Not go business Practice if you want to sale bikes i think salesman had poor judgement, could have sold that bike. Will not be going there again. read more

I called ahead to see if i could get some progressive front fork springs installed on my Kawasaki Voyager, After checking with the service department the lady at the service desk said they could do the installation. I drive 85 miles from our home to Midland Power Sports to drop off bike and again discussed with personnel about the repairs to be done on the bike. I was called a few days later with a quote on some air shocks , I told the lady we didn't discuss anything about air shocks to be installed on this bike.... The next call I get a couple days later was from a gentleman and he informed me that they could NOT install progressive front fork springs after all on my bike (could not install aftermarket parts due to altering the way the bike would handle on the roadway), He explained the above and I said OK I will come get it today. I drive the 85 miles to MPS, I was greeted with a $98.00 US dollar invoice , I asked what the charges were for because I knew they wouldn't have started working on it without parts. He said it was for phone calls and the time it took the technician to round up the parts to repair my bike.... REALLY.... I paid them for rounding up parts they couldn't install on my bike anyway......I hope they can sleep at night after charging me for something they knew they couldn't do to my bike. The young lady and gentleman were very polite and professional I must say.... They did their job, they just need to be better educated on the jobs at hand so maybe the next customer won't have to go thru this....... As for me, Joe Carrasco (Big Lake Tx) will never be seen again at Midland Power Sports. read more
