    Pad Kee Mao with Chicken.

The food was absolutely delicious. I would rather visit this kind of restaurant with a homey, inviting atmosphere than deal with snooty, miserable wait staff even in the most beautiful surroundings. I think Family Thai has only one purpose. They want you to have a full belly with a great meal. Whoever prepared our food that night definitely made sure we left their restaurant happy and smiling. Every dish we ordered earned a shiny five stars review. It was tasty, fresh, hot and neatly served. My Shrimp Pad Thai was neither too sweet nor too spicy. I enjoyed the flavorful noodles with maybe a little too much peanuts :). The spiciness level is one to five. My choice of the two is called medium, but if you like some heat, ask for a higher number. The location may discourage you from visiting, but it is a place with really nice people and most importantly, tasty, savory food.

Great service! The environment is homey despite the surrounding area. The food was great! My chicken curry was warm, and the sushi was delicious.

Excellent Pad Thai and Crab Rangoons. I don't like celery and the waitress/cook offered to make fresh crab rangoon minus the celery. They also gave us a glass of wine on the house. Excellent service and friendly staff. We will be back, for sure.

Best noodles I've ever had in my life. Got the fried pad Thai noodles with medium spice. My life is changed.

Hidden gem, especially in the south towns. Great sushi, Thai, Burmese etc food. Awesome place and great homemade cooking.

Food is always good here. Not the fanciest of places, but it is friendly and clean. The tea leaf salad is top notch.

The cashier was a little gruff, but the woman running back and forth between the kitchen and the front had a better business sense about keeping customers happy. She didn't want me to wait long, so I think she rushed the kitchen a little bit, which I appreciated, but also may have led to some of the demerits on the food I mention below. I was happy to see one dish I ordered, the pig intestine with fish, on their picture board above the cash registers. That gave me confidence that they knew what they were doing and it was the best dish by far out of the three I ordered. The intestine was fresh and flavorful, the spice level was high, but also not too salty. It was a lot of food. Only drawback here was the fish (tilapia?) seemed to be heavy on the breading. The other two dishes were disappointing. Penang curry with pork had good vegetables, but the sauce had too little flavor since they went too heavy on the coconut milk. The pork seemed like chicken, not pork. Way too soft and flavorless. The Singapore Chow Mei Fun had good noodles and veggies. But the curry powder was not blended in. Eating it, I could still feel it in powder form. It was also far too oily. Overall, I think they had a lot of options but next time I'd steer more towards classic Chinese, since that seems to be what they do well. I hope next time the flavors will be stronger and blended better (i.e. powders actually stirred in). I'm willing to give them another chance, since they do have a lot of dishes I like. Last note: the online ordering service does not indicate that dishes come with rice. I thought they would have rice by default, but then when I added the penang curry to my cart, it asked whether I wanted rice or noodles or something else. So that made me think I had to order rice separately, which meant I had twice as much rice as I needed. It also said "quart of white rice" was sold out, but "pint of white rice" was not, yet the rice that came with my meal came in a quart container.

We ordered takeout and the containers were bursting. Additionally, everything was fantastic. We got sweet/sour chicken, pad thai, General Tso, and egg drop soup and hot&sour soup. Everything was perfect. Additionally, upon pickup of the food, service was prompt and kind. It is a quaint space and I look forward to sitting down for food there in the future.

I ordered miso soup along with the Las Vegas roll, which is a deep fried sushi roll with fresh salmon, crab meat, kimchi, and cream cheese tempura topped with eel sauce. It was pretty good. The roll had a nice crunch and the filling was rich and flavorful. The eel sauce on top leaned a little sweeter than I usually prefer, so I was grateful for the soy sauce on the side to balance it out. The restaurant also wasn't too busy, which made for a really nice quiet lunch at the bar. Staff was friendly and everything came out quickly. No complaints

The miso soup was nicely steamy but somewhat bland and watery. The side green salad was large, fresh and delicious. The sushi deluxe plate arrived with a gorgeous presentation on a square, wooden platter. Some of the chef's choices were fantastic: The salmon, smoked salmon, tuna and mackerel were superb; three were slightly dried out and hard - oops - and on my last piece, I found a pebble in the rice. These things happen. It's surprising they don't happen more often, given the harvesting process. I probably will try to make my next visit on a weekend, when the turnover is faster.

Got spring rolls; a small Ton Kha soup and mango sticky rice - welp, I was bursting with happiness despite dining solo - everything was soooooooooooo delicious! and hot !! and flavorful !!! First and will definitely not be my last trip to Tiny Thai! side note: I was going to take the food back to work to eat but couldn't resist trying a few bites so I ended up eating outside the restaurant (there were a few table and chairs with a big window - quiet and aesthetic ambiance if I do say so myself) and took 1/2 of the soup and 1/2 of the mango sticky rice back to work. The soup was still delicious -and I didn't reheat it- ! I loved the 'warm' mango sticky rice and left the last half in the fridge - pretty sure it'll also taste good so definitely looking forward to late night dessert!!! (will post cold mango sticky rice verdict next review)

I got the Pad Ka Pow with pork and an order of the spring rolls. The service was so fast here and friendly. I got my food to go and it was still piping hot when I got home 15 minutes later. This is quite the meal with a large portion of rice in the main dish and five spring rolls. It was delicious from start to finish. Each dish came with an extra sauce to use or dip into. The spring rolls were crispy and full of flavor. The pad ka pow was a perfect balance of savory flavor with the right amount of spice. I should have asked to get shrimp with it this time, but that will happen when I go back next time. The parking at Chandler Street can be a little tough but I found a spot which was nice. The building is full of businesses so it is a nice place to be when you're hungry. Tiny Thai is one of my new favorite places to check out in the city and if you're ever over near the Westside, you should too!
