Love this place, and their unique black rice sushi or dishes. We have been here often, especially after the closure of the Peace Bridge location. Last time we ordered the black rice volcano sushi role, pineapple boat and fried doodle, all tasted very good. Service is always good. This is my go-to Asian food restaurant in town!

Amazing experience at Sun Cuisine! The service was incredibly friendly and attentive, the restaurant was spotless, and you can really tell the ingredients are fresh and high quality. Everything we ordered was delicious, but my favorite was the Salmon Special Roll. I also loved that their sushi rolls are made with black rice, which makes them stand out and adds a unique flavor. Definitely a must-try if you're in the area. We'll definitely be back!

Black rice sushi will always be a fave of mine thanks to Sun. A Buffalo staple that never disappoints! Came in for a spontaneous mid afternoon lunch and got a couple rolls. The people are always nice. I love the vibe in this location and they have a small patio that faces Main St. It's not open yet but it'll be nice in the summer. The fish is always fresh too.

Wow, time flies! Appears that I reviewed Sun Cuisine over 8 years ago! I gave it 2 stars. Current review- 2/1/2026: up to 3-4 stars now. I really think it depends on the dish that you order. My friend ordered the teriyaki salmon which was grilled nicely and had some veggies on the side. He tried black rice which he had never had before. He liked it. It is more nutritious than white rice. 5/5 on this dish. I ordered the Sun cuisine eggplant dish with shrimp and beef. The menu indicated that this was one of the popular and recommended dishes. Here's the problem: the beef was very scatty and looked like shredded pieces of "steakum" meat! There was maybe three pieces of shrimp in total. Lots of vegetables. Sauce was good and tasty. But the eggplant, which is supposed to be the star of the show, was rather soggy and coated with breading. Disappointing. This dish I would give a 2-3/5. The serving size is very big for both of the items we ordered from the Asian fusion side of the menu. We took leftovers home. Service is friendly and quick. 5/5 Decor is lovely, lighting is dim, seating is comfortable 5/5. I would be back to try the sushi dishes next time. I'll try to get back before another 8 years passes.

Sun is a great place for dine in or take out! Delicious food, lots of options, healthy, great service. It's so peaceful when you walk in. So clean. Great service! Parking on the back with entrance in the back!

I came on a whim after working all week! Staff friendly and professional. Soft non intrusive music plays in the background. Calm atmosphere.I haven't been to this location but I've been to the original 15+ years ago near the waterfront downtown! I ordered the Sake Tini and Seafood in a clay pot. ( Mild, not spicy because I'm a punk) Everything on the menu looks and described delicious. I walked in at almost 5 p.m. I thought they were closed, I'm just the only solo customer at this time. My drink came quick and OMG is soo good! I love sake and plum wine so this was a great combination for me! Place is modern and spotless! I can imagine bringing friendsand everyone finding something to eat. I'll try the sashimi and other items on the menu. I'll be returning solo and w family and friends! Thank you for the wonderful meal.

Drive by this place every day. Since it's in a little corner strip next to a CPAP store. Spacious and not fancy. Never knew what a treat was right under my nose. Came in for late business lunch so the place mostly empty which allowed the service to be prompt and efficient. Tremendous menu with sushi, Thai, Burmese and some fusion dishes. Lots of choices. We all ordered rolls and a Thai dish. Rolls came right out, I tried the black rice spicy tuna roll. Tasty. The others had dragon rolls and they were incredible works of art. The beef dish I ordered was "medium" hot and it was pretty sporty. Definitely going to be on my regular visit list vs. other spots on Transit.

Came here on a Sunday evening for sushi and had a great experience! Location is great and the restaurant itself is huge. I got the spicy salmon and spicy tuna rolls, as well as the seaweed salad. Everything tasted fresh and came out fast! Just want to note that there's a yelp check in free ice cream/saki that unfortunately the restaurant no longer honors.

I absolutely love the sushi here! I usually get it with the black rice. The menu doesn't have the prices but I believe they are online... if they are up to date. The server was great but service was a little slow. I received my sushi about 10-15 min. Before my friend so I waited to eat to be polite. Other than that I highly recommend you try this place out!

We had dinner at Sun Cuisines in Williamsville on a Friday evening. The restaurant was not too busy, so we had our pick of tables. To start, we ordered a couple of appetizers; samusas and chicken curry with paratha. Both were very good and well worth the price. The curry was not as spicy as an Indian curry but just as flavorful. Samosa was crisp and filled with chicken and potatoes. We also ordered the black rice salad to share because the menu said they are known for that dish. It was okay. I'd like more dressing on it because the rice itself didn't have much flavor. I ended up taking it home to add more spring lettuce and homemade Asian dressing. On to the soup! I ordered miso soup, and my husband had the coconut chicken noodle soup. Both were very good. The miso was filled to the brim with seaweed and tofu. The coconut soup was sweet and savory, filled with chicken, noodles, raw onion slices, and crunchy rice noodles on top. I'd definitely order the coconut soup again. Now here comes the sushi. We had the tuna platter that was made up of several raw tuna delicacies. It was delicious and well worth $20. We also had the soft shell crab roll. The tempura fried crab inside the roll was very tasty with a nice crunch. If I order again, I would pass on the salad, but everything else was great! Tip- the restaurant menu does not have prices listed, but their online one does.

They serve top notch Thai food. What makes them extra special however is their service. The owner always greets diners with warmth. Tonight's message, "How are you? It's good to see you again." My server clearly understands the importance of caring friendly service and he treated me as a valued guest. The dining room is comfortable and quiet, which is perfect for dining conversations or just checking email if you are dining like I was. I will admit that the room has aged a bit but it's still clean and pleasant. My Tom Kha soup had a tasty broth and was filled with chicken. The Pad Kee Mao lacked "spiciness" even though it is described as "stir fried spicy flat rice noodles in chili sauce" and I asked for medium heat. However it tasted great but I know it would be even better with heat. So, my update still rewards 5 stars and if you are looking for Thai this is a great option?

I was seated and immediately served complimentary tea, and fried wontons with sweet and sour sauce. I ordered the Kung Pao lunch special which comes with a choice of egg roll or soup, and white or vegetable friend rice. I chose the wonton soup and fried rice, and I ordered an egg roll as well. The egg roll came out quickly, and the lunch special was served right when I finished that. The food was good and the dish was spicy (Kung Pao is supposed to be spicy but it never is-- not for me) and the service was polite. When the check came it was accompanied by a plate with two slices of orange and a fortune cookie. The only thing I didn't like about the visit was that there was an advertisement for a big commercial law firm on the back of the fortune slip and the "lucky number" was the phone number. I thought that was tacky. I walked out at 1:15pm. Great, quick lunch.

The food is pretty good, too, but the pictures and information aren't always accurate. For example, the salmon cheese roll includes avocado and tobiko according to both the picture and the description (so basically a Philly roll), but my order only came with the salmon and cream cheese. Fortunately I didn't get the food waste penalty. The appetizers are great. I had calimari, shrimp, and crab rangoon. The rolls are pretty good, too, apart from the aforementioned disappointment. The drinks are good, but I was disappointed plum wine wasn't on the menu even though one of the cocktails includes plum wine. I never did get a visit from the robocat. I've visited Wind enough times, both for dine-in and takeout, to feel comfortable giving a detailed…read morereview. Dining In: 3 Stars The strongest part of this restaurant is the food itself. The flavors are good, portions are good (has per piece option for AYCE), and most dishes taste fresh and enjoyable. - this part deserves a 4-5 stars Unfortunately, the dine-in experience doesn't match the quality of the food. Presentation is often underwhelming and inconsistent. While the food tastes good, it is not always presented in an appealing way, which takes away from the overall dining experience. I'd rate the presentation closer to 2 stars. Service and execution can also be inconsistent. There have been multiple occasions where items were forgotten or missed entirely. While these issues may seem minor individually, they add up over time and affect the overall experience. I'd rate punctuality/ service at 2-3 stars Cleanliness: 3-4 Stars Another area that could use improvement is cleanliness. From my experience, the dining area is generally acceptable, but the restrooms are often not maintained to the same standard. On multiple visits, the bathrooms have appeared dirty, and the trash bins have frequently looked full or overdue for emptying. While it hasn't been bad enough to make me leave, it is noticeable and does affect my overall impression of the restaurant. Takeout: 1 Star for Timing, 5 Stars for Packaging Ironically, the presentation of takeout orders is consistently better than what I've received while dining in. The packaging is neat, organized, and the food generally arrives looking exactly as expected. For takeout presentation alone, I would give 5 stars. However, the timing of takeout orders is consistently disappointing. I've ordered takeout multiple times, and almost every time I've arrived at the scheduled pickup time, the order has not been ready. Delays of 30-40 minutes seem to be the norm rather than the exception. My most recent experience was particularly frustrating. I placed my order about an hour ahead and selected a 6:00 PM pickup time. When I arrived on time, I was told the order would require another 40+ minutes. When I asked why, I was informed that the kitchen doesn't begin preparing takeout orders until the scheduled pickup time. That explanation makes no sense to me. If a customer orders an hour in advance and selects a pickup time, the expectation is that the food will be ready around that time. Otherwise, the pickup time is really just the time the restaurant starts working on the order. Delays can happen, especially during busy periods, and I would be understanding if this were an occasional issue. Unfortunately, after multiple takeout orders, this appears to be a recurring pattern. The food quality is the reason I've continued coming back, but good food alone can only compensate for so much. Between the inconsistent dine-in presentation, missed items, cleanliness concerns, and repeated takeout delays, the overall experience falls short of what I would expect. There is definitely potential here, but the restaurant needs to improve its execution, attention to detail, and respect for customers' time. Would recommend going to the Niagara Falls, Ontario location instead.
