FVC was my optometrist and contact lens supplier for years. They were great. I moved away and my current optometrist/supplier is not so great. If you're looking for a great optometry center with a personalized family friendly feel this is your place. Dr. Matt and Melanie have both helped me on the search to correct my farsighted vision after Lasik. It seems contacts were not a viable option for me because they are uncomfortable and drying and not suitable after LASIK in my case. They worked hard to find a solution that fits my needs trying three different contact options and then turning me onto an alternative eyedrop. I must say they went way over and above to help me find a solution. The staff is also very friendly and clinic very clean. The eye exam was fast and painless and I now have a solution that's suitable for me and don't have to grab readers every time I need to read something. Would highly recommend. read more

Many years after my initial review, after moving away and returning to San Diego, I'm still a happy patient and have seen all of the awesome docs in their practice. I really appreciate that they offer the latest diagnostic and imaging technologies, and their staff explain what they are testing and why. They also told me that I qualify for medically necessary contact lenses due to a condition I have, which means that my lenses are fully covered by insurance (and shipped to my home). Dr Langford is amazing and so is the staff. I have no idea what Joan J is talking about. I literally walked in yesterday with no appointment and was able to get my glasses adjusted. I had to wait for a few minutes because it was lunch time but one of the ladies got me in as soon as possible. I was so impressed that I came here to leave a review. Dr. Gary Sneag has a lovely accent. He makes me feel very comfortable, and furthermore he gives me confidence with his knowlefdge and his erudite discussions about any issues with my eyes. There is a large area for selecting and buying frames, and all of the staff have been pleasant. Special mention of Javier Medina. We talked about my Portuguese heritage and the fact that his last namer is Portuguese, Javier fitted my new glasses with prescision ,and off I went with my new frames totally pleased! read more

Even after moving to North County its more than worth the drive for the efficient and compassionate care there. I have had exams at three other offices in the past and I won't trust my family's eyes, to anyone else but Dr. Langford, Dr. Sneag & Family Vision Care. My kids (ages 7 months & 2.5 years) had an exam with Dr. Langford a few weeks ago. I chose Dr. Langford, in particular, because this office is a vision therapy office and I know that she works with a lot of children. I really appreciated confirming my appointments electronically and filling out my children's forms online. It made it fast and easy to check in. I've had my eyes examined with her before, but this was the first time I've had both my kids' eyes examined. Her patience and interaction with them was amazing, not one single cry from them. Luckily, they didn't need glasses, but they did had a wide selection to choose from. I will be definitely be coming back and Dr. Langford, you have four patients for life. read more

I've been coming here for a few years now. Dr Melanie Langford is amazing! I had to go to another optometrist because my insurance switched. My vision wasn't as good going elsewhere. Everyone in this office is so nice to work with. I felt very safe while I was in the office. Everyone including the patients were mask compliant. There was hand sanitizer everywhere. I found a great pair of glasses I'm excited to wear. My last pair of contacts wasn't working anymore and Dr. Langford corrected that. I've always had an excellent experience here. Let me start by saying I would give 10 stars if that was an option. I saw Dr. Sneag today as a first-time patient. He was extremely knowledgeable and explained my vision of problematic areas in a way no one had ever taken the time to do. I have been wearing contacts for over 25 years, Dr. Sneag even defined the contacts I am wearing (Dailies) and what makes them unique over other brands. Very interesting facts that I had no idea about. He was a pleasure to be examined by and I look forward to our annual visits, as long as I am living in SoCal, I will be a patient of his. The staff was also very nice, and that does make a huge difference. A lot of times sadly, when I check-in for doctor appointments the admin staff can be a bit rude or rushed or not so friendly with attitudes. Not at this pace!
