Picked up pizza lastnight and it was good & today we needed lunch and they were opened so I tried the gyro. It was amazing!! Staff was very nice definitely check them out for pizza or sandwiches

Flavorful Philly cheese steak on DELICIOUS homeade bread! ('hand cut fries', these were not what I envisioned; a bit disappointed.)

Fantastic customer service! Tasty variety of food for everyone, seating inside or out with a fun atmosphere including arcade games inside and miniature golf outside, by the picnic tables.

Such a fun place! They have putt putt outdoors and a small arcade indoors. Their pizzas and Italian foods are delicious and they have a huge variety of local beers, wines and a full bar w cocktails. There's two different lines for the drinks and food. Even when it's busy, the service is quick and friendly.

Just stopped by for some pizzas to go and man they have good pizza! The whole restaurant was popping and the kitchen seems very orderly. It did not take too long for our order. There's plenty to do inside, ice cream and cookie shop, arcades etc. great place for families and kids

NC Mountain Pizza - unique and tasty! After wrapping up a short day of skiing at Beech Mountain, we hit FBOP for a to go pizza and a couple desserts. This pizza absolutely hit the spot! Very friendly team, all were smiling (at 4:30 PM on Christmas Eve) and there was minimal wait time. We had a Hawaiian plus bacon to go, along with a giant cookie and a piece of cake. Yes, pricing is a bit on the higher side for a pizza, and the sauce, crust and cheese tasted like they were fresh and of quality - not your chain store pizza... plus the pineapple was super fresh on our Hawaiian. This was my first visit and I loved that the crust is buttery and the outer edge is like a pretzel. The cookie was giant and tasty, too. We'll be back!

$40 for inedible "pizza". First there's not dough in the "brick oven" pizza truck, then had to nearly beg for a pizza box to carry my pizza back to my lodging, but the cherry on top was when I opened up the pizza box to have the paper plate completely come off onto the cheese/pepperonis on the pizza making this not only inedible but also unsafe to eat.

What a lovely place with something for everyone! The margarita pizza was outstanding. They also have fresh homemade cookies and ice cream. There is a game room for the littles and outside a mini putt golf course. The environment is family friendly and well worth a visit!

Ben likes the pizza, but he also thinks the price is a bit steep. "Four dollars for a fountain drink is the greed the talk about in the bible." (Sebastian, 2025)

I'm a NC native! On my regular trips to Beech this is a must stop and sometimes a twice stop! Best pizza I've had in all of NC. you can't beat the views and the people are lovely, & service is great. It's a local haven for anyone who enjoys fresh pizza and the dough is fresh and amazing. It has a nice crunch and you get all the flavor from the meat! I will say my last visit, they have changed the amount of meat the add onto their "meat lovers" but it was still very good quality pizza. Oh yes...do stop by and do enjoy yourselves. 10/10

Being up on Beech Mountain, your food choices are VERY limited. From what I could tell from my 3 days there, the choices are Sandwiches, Mexican, Breakfast/Coffee, American/Bar/Brewery, Pizza, and Barbecue. To have something else, you must drive 10 minutes down the mountain for slightly more choices. But being a touristy mountain town, just know all the food is overpriced. The alternative is cooking wherever you're staying but who wants to do that on vacation? One of my daughter's favorite foods is pizza. It's quick, it's easy, and it hits the spot. Because our schedule was erratic because of skiing at Beech Mountain, we would eat either a late lunch or early dinner. A chunk of restaurants on the mountain don't open on that schedule and some even close early, so we ended up eating here twice. At peak times, this place is packed. We went at 7 PM on a Friday and we had to wait about 35 minutes to just put our order in. There's ample seating and a lot of people take their food to go, it's just waiting to get the food is what takes so long. The 2nd time we went for lunch at about 2:30 PM and it wasn't packed at all. Here's what I do know. If you like pizza, pasta, wings, or calzones, this is your place. If you like fresh, daily made desserts, this is your place. If you like beers, this is your place. For the pizzas, you can either build your own (which I would advise against because the individual toppings end up outpricing pre-configured options) or get a pre-configured pizza. The first time we had The Works, which is similar to what Papa John's has and the second time I got the Hawaiian. There are two sizes, regular and large. The cost difference between the two is minimal, anywhere from $2-3 difference for a considerable slice difference. What hurts is the fact that my Works was around $35 for the large (8 slices). I don't recall the wings pricing but there's a small & large order as well. The pizza is good and that's one of the reasons we went twice. The edge crust is braided and the toppings-to-cheese-to-sauce ratio is perfect. Big wings scare me because sometimes they aren't cooked enough and small wings make me angry because it's a rip-off and you end up with chicken jerky. Their wings were the crispy, had ample sauce tossed on them, and the perfect size not too big/not too small. Overall, I really like this place despite the price. It's good food in a cool atmosphere. There is an arcade in the back of the restaurant but I didn't have any cash or coins, so I didn't even bother taking my daughter back there. I'll be back the next time I'm in the area!

Marshmallow desert and a huge cookie that were very overpriced lol. $3+ for each.
    Johnnabryanté R.

Was OK food but too expensive. The price didn't match the quality. I would prefer dominos over this place tbh. Was $56 for a large pizza and 10wings lol. That's insane. Plays paid an extra $6 for the desert we got after. But was fun to try something new out. I also tried the huge chocolate chip cookie that was being hyped up on the reviews of this place. It looked delicious but it was not. It was stale and tasted freezer burnt. Prob won't come back here again.

With no reservation they were kind enough to give us a table outside at 6pm, peak dinner time. We really were just anxious to eat some good Italian. The service and attention were great. Lindsay the waitress was amazing. And the place is beautiful as the people eating there. But here is where it gets a little off. Chicken Piccata is Chicken Piccata in every Italian eatery (look up the recipe)... always perhaps with variation, of course. But I should have read the description better and that's my bad because I was just anxious to eat and I did not get any such sort of traditional Chicken piccata! It wasn't a bad dish, but it was something that I never would have ordered if they had called it something else! Sautéed Chicken in wine and lemon sauce and some creamy fettuccine-type sauce on a bed of mashed potatoes (I hate potatoes, especially mashed) with veggies is so off the mark that I left full (because I was too hungry to complain), but disappointed. I also am no fan of sautéed chicken! Boring! For that dish I paid $30+ I could throw that together at home for much less, but real piccata takes more effort. That's why I ordered it! My wife's spaghetti and meatballs was more affordable but also a bit of a mystery. Great, tender meatballs, true, but the spaghetti was served in tiny pieces as if they were crumbled before boiling! Wtf! Not long strands that you can roll on your fork, but small cut strands?!? And the gravy tasted like a can of Italian chopped tomatoes were poured right out of the can, heated and served. That's not Sunday gravy! Wtf? Yeah, after all these years eating Italian in so many restaurants, I'm not sure why this meal was so off the beaten path. I was lazy, did not read the description and trusted the name of the dish. And, to my horror got mashed potatoes which I couldn't eat. The beer and wine were not pricey, though. And the bread was the best part of the meal. Sorry guys. Don't serve hotdogs and call it steak, if you know what I mean.

It was also a super close option that I wouldn't have to worry about us driving up a steep mountain at night! When we walked in...it was just..sad. This place is ready for crowds of folks wanting to have a good time and enjoy some food and beverages. I noticed that a lot of the staff was dressed like Oz characters. I am not sure if this was something that they actually wanted to do but it was cool. Then I saw something that made me giggle and talk to strangers. A list of themed drinks!! I love a theme. I chose the ruby slipper drink, and then I saw that the menu is also on the counter and is super limited. So Im standing at a counter ordering a cocktail, which feels odd...and then there are only really a few items to choose from for food. When the food came, I saw that this was probably a really great place to hang out when you live here, but when the town is so busy for an event, they can't handle the load of so many customers, and maybe aren't the nicest about it. It's a…read morebeautiful restaurant, and I had been looking forward to dining there for quite some time. From the moment we arrived, the staff was warm, welcoming, and attentive. The atmosphere, however, felt a little mixed. The restaurant seemed to have two distinct personalities. The newer side, where the bar is located, felt polished and cohesive, while the older dining room--where we were seated because it had more availability--felt like it hadn't quite received the same attention. The lighting on that side of the restaurant was particularly harsh, which made the dining room feel less intimate than it could have been. Since it's also the larger and busier dining space, I think small touches like candles on the tables or softer lighting would go a long way toward creating a warmer, more personal atmosphere. I also noticed an interesting contrast between the beautiful leather-bound menus and some of the furniture and wall décor, which felt more reminiscent of a hotel dining room than the upscale mountain restaurant the food suggested. Thankfully, the meal more than made up for those observations. I ordered the wild mushroom pasta with lobster, and it was the standout dish of the evening. The pasta was rich without feeling heavy, the mushrooms added wonderful depth, and the lobster was cooked beautifully. It's a dish I'd gladly order again. My boyfriend ordered a steak, which he thoroughly enjoyed. We also started with the escargot and the crab cakes. The escargot, while not quite on the level of some traditional French restaurants I've visited, was still very well prepared and enjoyable. The crab cakes were outstanding--full of crab, nicely seasoned, and easily one of the best appetizers of the meal. Our only complaint was that there was only one crab cake on the plate; we both found ourselves wishing there had been another. Overall, Stonewalls Restaurant delivered an excellent meal with genuinely welcoming service. While I'd love to see the older dining room updated to better match the quality of the cuisine, the food alone makes it well worth a visit if you're in Banner Elk.
