I came upon this bakery while perusing through random Groupon vouchers. $20 for a dozen gourmet cupcakes ($36 value)? Sounds like a good deal to me! Perfect timing actually, as it was my sisters birthday that weekend. The bakery itself is situated right in the middle of Downtown Fairfield on Texas Street, and is surrounded by lots of great restaurants. It's a good place to grab dessert after eating lunch or dinner! Due to Covid we figured it best to forego our usually family gatherings this holiday season. This of course was a huge bummer and we had no desire to cook a big meal for just my husband and myself. It was Thanksgiving though and I couldn't let my husband go without leftover turkey sandwiches the week after Thanksgiving, so I decided to try the take out meal Famous Creations had on offer. I was planning my dads 70th Surprise birthday party and wanted to have a special cake that would compliment his travel themed party. I never ordered a cake before and after sorting through Yelp reviews, pricing, and availability Famous Creations was who I decided to do business with. Through email exchanges with Nicolas of what I wanted and what my budget was, I set up a tasting appointment. After going through the cake menu with my mom prior to the tasting, we decided to inquire about a custom Pineapple cake (since that's a favorite of my dads). Nicholas said that he could do it no problem and he definitely delivered! My cake design was 2 cakes (a suitcase and a globe on top). Originally I thought one would be the pineapple and the other German Chocolate but at the tasting the Pineapple cake won! The payment arrangement and the price was great (pay half at tasting and remaining at delivery). Friendly and professional during tasting appointment, emails, and delivery. Communication was fair. Katie did call me about a week and a half prior for delivery address and time which I know I already gave via email awhile back. I'm glad that delivery is an option though so I didn't mind the call. I was concerned that this cake wasn't going to feed the 50 guests that had RSVP'd. Boy was I really wrong! The entire globe cake was still left when all the guests were gone. Definatly not worth the price. Dont get me wrong I'm not saying it doesn't taste good, it does, but I don't think its special enough to demand almost 200 dollars for a cake. Even during the tasting (we tasted red velvet, tres leches, chocolate, and salted caramel) they pretty much tasted the same. You could hardly taste the salted caramel and the tres leches didn't really seem like any tres leches I've ever had, as far as that cakes goes it was pretty dry. My wife and I bet against our instincts and got one anyway. We ordered a two tear cake. The top, tres leches, which the woman who helped us said it wouldn't drip. It didn't. There was no leches to be found really, just tasted like a vanilla cake. The bottom was the salted caramel. In full cake form there wasn't even a small hint of the caramel like there was at the tasting. It just tasted like chocolate. Personally though, I have to admit, it was tastey at least to me. Nobody else at the party seemed to like it though. When the night was over there where a lot of plates left with slices of cake with only one or two bites taken out. To some it up, the cake was good but nothing special, at least when it came to the flavor. The cake itself was dense and moist, so not too bad. The salted caramel flavor was absent as well as the leche. The icing was the best part rich and creamy, but it also kind of took over. The presentation was nice, not 100% like the photos, but its best not to expect that anywhere. All in all it was a slightly above average cake with a hefty price tag. I would have given another star if it wasn't for the price. Honestly I think we would have been happier with a red velvet from Safeway and a tuxedo cake from Costco. read more

Don't know how this slipped my mind, but it's time I wrote this! My wife and I had Nick and his crew cater our wedding which took place in October 2017. From the start Nick was very excited to work with us and was very real with us. He offered us great advice which he gained through his time catering wedding and events. Working with them was nothing short of amazing! We met with them a couple of times before the wedding for food tastings and consultations. They were more than accomadating each time we visited him. He just didn't take down what items we wanted served, he suggested other dishes that might compliment the other dishes. He also would give us input when he thought a certain dis wasn't necessary. Only giving one star because Yelp requires it. I had a TERRIBLE experience ordering from this establishment this week. DANIEL (I guess he's the owner) was incredibly rude for no reason! I was never rude with him at all. I contacted this bakery and spoke with a lady who was very kind and she gave me instructions for me to place my order. I ordered 18 cupcakes (very simple request, maybe not a large enough order for DANIEL to care about). At my first interaction with DANIEL he had an attitude. I emailed a picture of a few cupcakes that I liked for reference and I emailed a picture (emails sent Tuesday, 12th) with colors that represent the party decorations. DANIEL refused to send me an email with a picture of the sprinkles he had available and he stated he could not order sprinkles and have them arrive in time (which I understand that). Daniel said I could provide my own sprinkles by Thursday or Friday as the order was to be picked up by Saturday (16th). I work a full time job out of town and so I asked my mom to drop them Friday (today) and she went in around 1 pm with the sprinkles, DANIEL informed my mother his staff had ALREADY made and decorated the cupcakes that I was picking up SATURDAY. When I called him about the issue he was again, INCREDIBLY RUDE! He said "I told you to bring the sprinkles in or id use my own", but he also told me I had until Friday and they close at 5:30 pm! I already paid for my order at the time I placed it and he said "I'll just give you a refund". DANIEL HAS TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Oh, where to even begin. We hired Famous Creations to cater our wedding in San Francisco and it was the BEST decision we made along the process. We were originally working with a very pricey San Francisco caterer, who turned out to be disappointingly flakey, standing us up at two meetings and changing our day-of coordinator without any notice...it was sloppy to say the least. We decided to research other options, and Famous Creations came highly recommended by a girlfriend of mine. Nicholas was very prompt in responses, and we were able to easily arrange a tasting at their Fremont store-front. We were BLOWN away by how delicious the food was, the price, and how wonderful Nicholas and his incredible team were. Not only were they fun to be around, they were organized, and gave great input when I needed it. They are obviously passionate about what they do!!! Nicholas had Catie join my coordinating team, and she was such a help in keeping everyone on the same page. She and Nicholas really helped me along during the last few months leading up to our wedding with countless little to-do's and meetings, and truly became such a support system for me! The wedding day went off without a hitch! It was pretty incredible, considering there were so many moving parts at my venue, along with all the details they were able to put together so beautifully. The staff worked so hard to make sure the venue look GORGEOUS, and they went above and beyond to make sure everything was running smoothly and all of the guests were happy!! People are still raving about the food, and have had many say it was the best food they have had at a wedding. I couldn't agree more; the mac and cheese is forever in my heart!! They did our cake and cupcakes as well, which too, were a crowd pleaser. So delicious!! Do yourself a favor and hire Famous Creations! It was hands-down the best decision we made.
