I hired Famous Creations to cater my '23 wedding (plated dinner, appetizers, bartenders, dessert bar) + day-of coordination and it was BY FAR the BEST DECISION I made during my planning. After 2 years of meticulous planning and active communication with Catie (day-of coordinator) and her team, I was able to fully enjoy my wedding day thanks to them! The food and drinks were delicious and beautifully plated (apologies for not sharing any pics, we gobbled it up before we could give it a proper photoshoot)! Some highlights I heard from my guests were the strawberry salad, mashed potatoes, the chicken, the tri tip, and the strawberry cream cake. I cannot stress enough about the level of customer service I received from Catie and her team, both before the wedding and on the day of. The staff set up all the decorations beautifully and they gave my guests top notch service. One of my groomsmen mentioned that the bar always had a cold beer ready for him whenever he passed by - and THAT'S what I love to hear. This bakery has so many delicious treats that it's hard to choose. I've gone here twice and I wanted to try other desserts but I ended up ordering the Ube Tres leches and Chocolate Tres Leches slices. Both are so delicious, that I offen day dream about it! We ordered a few cupcakes from here. I'll just be mentioning the ones I tried: Ube and the Patron (the alcohol one I can't remember if it was Patron or something else. Honestly, I didn't taste any ube. The cake part just tasted like vanilla. The frosting texture was too thick like couldn't lick a portion off you had to bite it, like fondant. Also no ube flavor to the frosting. It's just a purple vanilla cup cake. The Patron was slightly better. The cake had some lemon flavor to it. The frosting tasted like nothing. Again the texture was like fondant. I ended up just throwing the frosting away bc it just wasn't very good. Service could have been better. I don't blame the guy up front bc he was busy helping someone on the phone. But there was a white guy who came out the back and just looked at us even though he could see the other guy on the phone and we were waiting. Eventually more people came in and the guy on the phone had to politely end the call. Then as he rang us up the phone rang again while there were 2 more customers in line. My wife ordered a victorian raspberry cake for my birthday. It was the worst cake I ever had in my life. The cake itself was salty and coarse/dense as hell. I thought that it might be like a pound cake but no, there was no nice soft texture at all, just grainy texture. Every year for my daughter's birthday I buy cupcakes and whoever I'm with gets to help my celebrate my angel. This year with COVID I wasn't able to venture out too far so I looked for a local cupcake shop and found Famous Creations. We bought 6 regular size cupcakes for $24. The staff was nice and the display case looked yummy. They had brownies, cupcakes, cookies and more. I settled on 2 salted caramel (mom and aunt), strawberry shortcake, Dole Pineapple Whip, lemon and Oreo which would have been my daughter's selection. We cut the lemon, strawberry and pineapple cupcakes so we could give them all a try. The pineapple was disappointing because I really felt the cupcake itself should have had a pineapple flavor like the lemon which in my opinion was the best. It was really moist, had lemon flavor in the cake, center and frosting. The strawberry was kinda bland and my family said the salted caramel were really good. Took my friend to get cupcakes for her birthday an hour after the shop opened and the man at the front was really rude. I think his name is Daniel according to the other reviews where customers faced bad customer service. I asked if they have anything complimentary for birthdays and he mockingly said complimentary? Onto the cupcakes, the banana cream cupcake looked good but the flavor was lacking banana, as it tasted like vanilla cupcakes you can get from a grocery store bakery. I also got a vanilla cupcake and couldn't even distinguish the banana from the vanilla. Chocolate cupcake was pretty good, but again, tasted like cupcakes you can get from a grocery store. The frosting also separated from the cupcakes. I then asked for a receipt because their Apple Pay wasn't working even though it says they offer Apple Pay on Yelp and the man said "ugh" with so much attitude then came back and gave me a piece of paper for the receipt from a colored printer. I also asked if they had any chocolate chip cookies. He said "not today". What kind of bakery doesn't have chocolate chip cookies?! The service is terrible and depressing for a bakery, where you'd expect things to be nice and fun for a birthday especially. Oh well, never going going again!
