Celebrated a birthday here with a larger group. We dined in for dinner and from start to finish it was great. This casual BBQ spot has been around for ages. They offer larger platters making it easier for everyone to share. They also have individual entrees as well. I'm not the biggest BBQ fan so I ended up ordering the hickory chicken sandwich. It was pretty good! I liked that they have multiple side options and went with broccoli. My order specifically was brought over maybe 15 mins after everyone else got their food. Our server did explain that the kitchen missed my item hence why it took longer. I appreciated the transparency, no problem. Everyone else enjoyed their shared BBQ platter + an order of their brisket. The platter they ordered says it serves 4-5 people and between 5 of them this was the perfect amount. We came here on a Sunday and every table was full! We posted a video so you can see for yourself! My husband ordered the Ultimate Burger which is his favorite and we have several photos posted because he orders it every time we are here. I ordered the chicken strips with ranch sauce, red mashed potatoes, corn muffin, and broccoli. This is the first time I have ordered this meal and it was delicious. Haven't been here in years and decided to give it a try. It sure has changed. I used to love the roasted chicken with a baked potato. It used to be an actual 1/2 chicken. It's now 2 pieces of chicken. The taste was ok but the chicken was warm at best. No.baked taters, just fake mashed potatoes served cafeteria style in a round ball. Tasted fake. The coleslaw was good. The food was good but the service absolutely terrible! It took ten minutes before our waitress greeted us. The manger asked if our waitress came to check on us and we said no, nothing happened. We sat in the front so we could see the mirror facing the kitchen. The staff were too busy socializing in the kitchen to actually check on their customers. The pescatarian options are miserable as far as portion size. On my first visit, I ordered the shrimp combo. The combo included 10 shrimp which were over cooked/fried and 2 sides. I chose steamed broccoli and mashed potatoes, which were delicious. Not wanting to form an opinion from one visit, I visited again and ordered the cedar plank salmon. This meal is also $18.99 so I would expect a decent piece of salmon. What I received was a very small. I went back inside to ask if this was the normal portion size for this meal and received an indirect and uncertain response including: "that's what they cooked". There was no attempt to maybe speak with someone and ask or offer options, as it had to have appeared that I was dissatisfied with the salmon portion. The dismissive response is unacceptable customer service, in my opinion. However, the salmon was very well cooked and seasoned! Food is great for the price. Lunch platter is small but the meat is impactful. The sausage was actually too much. The slow roasted chicken was tasteful and not too strong. The beans was too sweet. We ordered a 2 meat combo lunch meal- Fried Chicken and Ribs. The server- Kimberly- was great. It came with a delicious salad and cornbread- she brought an extra cornbread since we were splitting the meal. We also upgraded to a salad and ordered the Mac & Cheese as a side. My wife also neglected to ask for white meat when ordering and when dark meat was served, asked if we could switch to white- no problem. At the end of the meal we ended up taking some salad and chicken home- dark meat was just going to get tossed so server suggested I take it. Food was well cooked. The rib portion was good- 2 ribs with plenty of meat. The meat came right off the ribs- so good. The fried chicken was not over-cooked and had a nice crispy skin taste. THIEFS!! Be careful of leaving something on the table. They will steal it. My husband left his AirPods on the table. We came back 10 mins later and they told him they were "gone" and would call if they found them. I went back in and said I wasn't leaving till someone produced it. And what do you know...magically they appeared! Went here on Memorial Day - May 29, 2023 to buy a Baker's Square Pie, which they are said to carry now that most of the Baker's Square locations have shut down. Long story short, something is different about the pies - we have bought Baker's Square pies for literally decades, and despite the same box and optics, something was off. - The pies were about $2-$3 more than what they normally were at an actual Baker's Square, with a very minimal selection. Minor issue, though. Yah yah inflation, we get it. - The pie had a "different taste" - as if it was either already 5-6 days old in the fridge, or, maybe generic ingredients are now being used. Perhaps because of the holiday it may not have been made fresh (that day), but even the traditional Baker's Square pies that are a day or two old in your fridge did NOT taste like this. Even the texture of the crust seemed different, the apples and sauce seemed different or not as moist. Be weary. Something is different. Unless we just happened to get a bad pie, you may not be getting the old traditional Baker's Square Pies here as advertised. read more

My husband and I used to love Famous Dave's. What happened? I don't know but the food is sub_par at best. The mash potatoes is so gummy and garlicky I couldn't stand it. The ribs were so overcooked there wasn't any meat left on the bone. We ordered the family feast, I ended up throwing it in the trash (total waste of my hard earned $) and gave the chicken to my dogs. Came on Memorial Day for a BBQ Craving Upon walking in there was a long line of people waiting to pick up their to-go area. Too much crowding for my comfort. I can tell they are going through a remodeling phase, as half the restaurant looked like it was stripped and they had a big tent outside. We arrived at approximately 4:15pm on a Saturday afternoon. We were happy to learn that their lunch menu is available until 5:00pm, even on Saturdays.
