The meats were all tender, warm and had good flavor. The sides need some work. The corn had no flavor and taste like microwaved frozen corn. The cornbread is sweet, but very tasty. The service was fast and the severs were very kind and attentive. The place is clean and very spacious for wheelchair users. Moderate noise level with the music and other patrons but it's nothing bothersome. Casual restaurant, but good food. I got the lunch special, 2 meats, 1 side, corn bread and a drink for $18. Came here because this is my favorite place to visit when we go to Minnesota and it use to be in Georgia. So of course I was expecting nothing but greatness. Ordered the meal for 2 and the presentation was beautiful. But the taste was horrible. The Brisket was rubbery and cold. The chicken had no taste. The pulled pork was cold and not seasoned. The ribs were the only thing that was decent. The macaroni and cheese was starchy and nasty. I can go on. This did not taste like the Famous Dave's I know. First.. I live Famous Dave's. I was in the area with my grandson and I decided to treat him to Dave's BBQ. I noticed they weren't as busy as I would have expected. I think this location has some issues. They seemed understaffed and the Hostess was also our server. He had a dry sense of humor that really serves no one well. It's generally the type of service I experience when a restaurant is headed in a downward spiral. Even the 3 other cars out front were from other areas. So the locals aren't eating here. When we finally stood there long enough she acknowledged and seated us. Once we were seated our server walked up and the first thing out of his mouth was, "Are you going to be paying, sir?" We decided to go out and try Dave's for dinner tonight since we had a gift certificate left over from Christmas, that one of our friends had blessed us with. I decided to try the burnt ends since I love brisket and Micah had a hamburger (his go to favorite item no matter where we go). The slaw, corn muffin, and Wilbur beans were all very tasty, but I was a little disappointed with the portion of burnt ends, even though they tasted great. It just seems like every BBQ place I've been in the last week has had small portions (but then again, they have been chains...so that probably answers it). For being a chain however, Famous Dave's had some pretty good food which didn't taste like it came out of a package and was just reheated and served. Came here for lunch with my husband. Got seated right away but got a fairly new waitress who even told us as much that she was there only 4 weeks so if she messes up let her know. Seevice wA super slow especially on refills which we told her about and so she got us drinks to go. Me and my family came in for Fathers day and had the worst experience i've had at a restaurant in a long time. Let me tell you about it. We were seated at the first booth inside the dinning room to the left, around 6:30pm. It was a hot day and it didn't feel much different in the restaurant. The dining room was not even half full. When we got to our table, it was very wet from whoever had wiped it down. I dried it myself with the paper towels at the table. Our server arrived, but didn't introduce himself, so I can't tell you his name. He just asked what we wanted to drink. He took our drink orders without writing them down. I served tables for 8 years, so my mom remarked that she was amazed how servers didn't have to write anything down. I told her I always wrote orders down so I didn't forget them. The server came back 5 minutes later, apologizing because he forgot our drink orders and needed to ask for them again. At this time he took our appetizer orders, fried pickles and wings. The appetizers came out before we got our drinks, it didn't include the ranch we asked for. We weren't given any plates, so we ate the appetizers off paper towels from the table. Our server finally returned when we were halfway through our apps. At this time we asked for plates. He said they did not have any small plates in the restaurant, so we continued to eat off the paper towels. The food arrived in a decent time, the only weak point was the chicken salad my girlfriend ordered. It came with 4 small slivers of chicken and the wrong dressing. She remarked that my side salad looked better than her entree salad, it really did. The server returned about 6 minutes after our food arrived. My parents asked for metal silverware, but the server remarked that they only had plastic silverware. My girlfriend and brother asked for ranch for their meals. The server left and never returned with the ranch. About 4 minutes later, my mom just saw him standing at the host counter. She waved him over, asking for the ranch again, and he remarked that he had placed the order and would check on it. We got the ranch about 4 minutes after this, which at this point, neither my brother or girlfriend were interested in the food. My girlfriend just tried to use the little bit of ranch I had left from my salad for her meal. We had stacked the plates on the table from the apps and our meals, but no one ever bussed anything from the table while we were here. I jokingly asked for the check and boxes early because I knew it would take our server forever to bring it. He returned with them about 10 minutes later, so I was right on point. I wanted to speak with a manager, but I didn't want to wait forever for one to come out, as we never saw one on the floor. I assumed they were in the back trying to fix the dishwasher or cooking the food themselves. It's sad because my dad loves this place, and the food is usually good, but the awful service and failure of the management team will be the eventual demise of this establishment. read more

Still as good as I remember. I work in Smyrna and go straight home at the end of the day, so when we found ourselves driving home from Nashville and passing by Famous Dave's I didn't say no when my husband wanted to stop. Good choice! Husband worked in Minnesota and became a big fan of their smoked meats. He smokes meats himself and is very picky about where he eats. We decided on the platter for two: half smoked chicken, 6 ribs, and 1 hot link with cole slaw, baked beans, fries, corn on the cob, and cornbread muffins. Oh, so much delicious food. It was more than enough for two so we have tomorrow's lunch. Service was fast and friendly. FYI, the same platter is $10 less on Tuesday. My sides were the Mac and cheese, and the garlic mashed potatoes. Let me start off by saying the brisket was far from being anything that I ever had while I lived in Texas! Not good at all. We didn't have much time but decided to go here instead of a other Bar-b-q place on the same street. Big mistake. We both ordered the two meat combos. i ordered brisket & rib ends and my wife ordered Brisket and chopped pork. Both of our plates were luke warm at best and the brisket looked like it sat under heat lamp or something. My husband and I came to Tennesee for a few reasons, and visiting bbq joints were added to the que. The first night we went to Famous Dave's after calling in our order. The food was everything!!!! We ordered a platter for two. It included Ribs, chicken, brisket, corn on the cob, Cole slaw that was so good, fries, Texas toast, and corn bread muffins. And the price was great!!! Took a friend to lunch for her birthday. We had a great lunch. She had the 2 meat platter and I had the Caesar chicken salad. The food was served in quick lunchtime manner. The Caesar salad was bland and the lunch portion was small compared to the large price $8.29. The 2 meat platter was portion appropriate for the lunch price and my friend seemed to enjoy it.
