I ordered the two-piece combo with ribs, chicken, baked beans, coleslaw, and the lemonade drink specials for the day , oh and desert banana pudding . My total came to about $42.90. I noticed the portions were smaller than what I'm used to. But I paid for the dinner selection not lunch . Also, one of the chicken pieces ( the breast was not completely cook, seemed undercooked, which I did mention at the time, to the waitress , she said she would let her manger know. Look like the store was overwhelmed with to go orders , which in no way should have impacted the quality of service that given to the in-house customers. Came by last night to order take out and enjoyed the variety of options. My partner got the Que combo with brisket&wings + mac and fries. I got the combo with burnt ends&bbq pulled chicken +beans and fries. We both thought the sauces were good and liked that it came with corn bread muffins. Overall on the pricey side but to be expected with chain bbq these days. The wait was about 15 minutes which for a saturday night is nice. read more

They contacted me and told me not only were they refunding my money for the pie but also sending me some gift certificates to use on a meal. Hadn't been to Famous Dave's for a few years and I've got to say that I'm glad I stopped in today! Upon arrival I was greeted by Sierra, the bartender and she was a delight so I decided to sit in the bar area. Immediately as soon as I sat down Sierra took my drink order and ran it back to my table. I started out with their delicious burnt ends and followed by a 2 meat option for my main course. I ended up choosing the brisket and chicken and even though the chicken seems to be a popular choice at Famous Dave's, I ended up leaving mine untouched after taking 1 bite. I will say that the consistency is a preference thing so if you LOVE chicken; give it a try. Personally, I'm not a huge fan and this was a miss for me. The brisket was good, a little on the dry side but the burnt ends were where it's at and in fact, I ended up getting another order since I didn't finish my main course :) I will definitely be back and if you stop in, I recommend sitting at the bar area and ask for Sierra! read more

We were excited to find a Famous Dave's since the only location in the Richmond area closed years ago. We visited on a slow Wednesday evening. Plenty of parking. The restaurant looked clean though the floors were pretty dirty. The inside had the typical Famous Dave's cozy BBQ feel. The service was fast and friendly. Unfortunately, the ribs were really tough. The six foot two strong guy with me was ripping at them with quite a lot of force. The mashed potatoes were dry. The burnt ends were very fatty. There were bits of bone in the chopped pork and the sandwich roll was hard. The coleslaw was bland. We enjoyed the collard greens, the Wilbur beans, and the corn muffin. IMHO, we had friends stop here and said they had the same quality issues with the food so we wouldn't go back to this location. read more

I haven't been to famous Dave's in years but my parents wanted to come here so I obliged. I was surprised they had a decent selection healthy choices to pick from. I choose the salmon but was hesitant to order because I didn't want it to be dry and I know must places cook then well done. It was really good with a nice sauce drizzled over it. I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed it. We went on Saturday night got sat immediately, the server was very attentive and friendly I wish I had gotten her name. I had the beef brisket and catfish fingers. Full disclosure, I've ordered this four times in the last month. I'm hooked!! For the sides I went with the bbq Wilbur beans as the two sides coz I am obsessed with their baked beans. I've gotten the coleslaw and Mac and cheese in the past but hands down the beans are my favorite. Just the perfect amount of tang and sweet and spicy. Famous Dave's BBQ [FDBBQ]. (3 stars). BLUF: A-OK but not the best I've had. Different car guy but recommended highly so I decided to finally try FDBBQ. After a less than stellar BBQ meal at Missions BBQ, I was quite weary of trying FDBBQ. But decided to take a "local's" advice. I am a fan of Texas dry rub BBQ so St Louis Style Ribs aren't exactly my favorite but the server recommended that I get the ribs and brisket as a combo because I was about to order two separate meals. I appreciated his recommendation as I got to try a few items without paying very much at all. I think it was $23??!! St Louis Ribs. Somewhat tender in that 3 of my 5 ribs were tender. Not fall of the bone tender but tender. The other 2 were completely burnt and inedible. The only major issue I had was that there was copious amounts of sauce slathered all over the ribs that I just personally didn't care for. The sauce is on the sweeter side. Brisket. It was tender but not juicy. No fat juices dripping down my arms or fat glistening from my lips. Decent cut but not exactly what I was craving. Collard greens. I'll give FDBBQ credit since the collard greens themselves had a nice texture due to the fact that they didn't overcook it. I would've just preferred a little more vinegar and seasoning but still better than others I've had in the DMV. Mac and Cheese. Dry. Dense. Heavy. Enough said. Cornbread. I was surprised by the cornbread. I liked it! Slightly sweet but texturally satisfying. A slight crispy exterior made for a delicious side. If I came back, I would order the cornbread. Award Winning Bread Pudding. As expected. Simple dessert but slightly mushy. The nuts and ice cream were good. The sauce seemed a little watery to me... FDBBQ is a chain restaurant which I didn't know when I walked over from the car repair shop. I've seen a few FDBBQ in NoVA but I guess now I know what they offer. I'm sure most would enjoy FDBBQ and their prices are much lower than I expected for BBQ. My server was very attentive and helpful. Parking is available in a shared lot with Target and other stores. I have just found this restaurant in the last two weeks. Their Happy Hour (HH) is the best I've seen in Woodbridge and Lorton. It is M-F 3pm to 7pm and all day Sunday (at the bar only). The food you get for HH is way more than you'd expect, especially for the price and they have a different special cocktail for each day, along with the usual beer and well drink discounts. Their lunch specials are until 4pm and, again, so much food I've had to get a doggy bag (enough for lunch the next day). And the food is really tasty. The service is friendly, professional and attentive. The management and employees will go out of their way to please you (I've had reasonable requests that were readily granted). I have gone about seven times in the last two weeks to sample different items, arriving anytime between 3 - 5 pm. read more

I wanted to take a moment to acknowledge the manager at the Woodbridge, Va location. I came in to place an catering order for my student's graduation. I was already utilizing services from local vendors and small business owners, therefore, my order with Famous Dave's was kind of small, about $200 worth. The manager, Mr. Yau, sat down with me at the high-top wooden table, and explained what famous Dave's offers, helping me to plan my extended menu, and how to go about placing a catering order that will meet my needs. I needed the order to be delivered and during a certain window of time. He promised me that my order would be ready, delivered one time, and that he would personally see to it. His words of reassurance sealed the deal. The day of delivery I received a text message indicating my order has been canceled. I called the manager to alert him of this problem. I did not realize he was already trying to contact me. As you can imagine I was running around trying to get everything ready before I left my home for the commencement ceremony. We didn't know what happened and why it happened at that time but the manager focused on a solution rather than the problem. The manager patiently waited on the phone while I was finishing up running around the house and located my form of payment. We place the order again and it was delivered to my door shortly after that. I will definitely be utilizing this location for food services in the near future. Great place to hit your bbq craving. I've lived in this town for awhile now and have been meaning to try this place as I constantly drive by. Menu was simple and had lots of Options! We stopped in for lunch on a Saturday and we were pleasantly surprised to see they had a drink special. We got the Dave's rum punch, really delicious! Was 5$ as well.
