I used to love eating here however it's really gone down. Today I got the pulled pork, which was at least three days old and burnt. The mac & cheese was overcooked as well. We were excited to try this place on Father's Day as there's not really many good bbq places around. We ordered 3 lbs of pulled pork, 1lb of chopped chicken, 2 rib tips, 2 Mac and cheese, 4 collard greens, 4 smoked corn, 1 baked beans, and 1 coleslaw, 12 buns. Let's break it down. I picked it up, got in my car noticed the buns were missing, no big deal. Went back got the buns. Then checked the bag again and noticed we were missing a Mac and cheese and the rib tips. Again, no big deal I figured they were busy and gave them benefit of the doubt. Went back a 2nd time and got them. While driving home I had a weird feeling and checked the bag a third time. Noticing that we were missing 3 collard greens AND 3 ears of corn. At this point I was frustrated I didn't pay more attention but I honestly didn't think a place could forget THAT many things for an order that in my opinion, is average size for a family. The total was $169 so that's $30 worth of missing food. If I didn't check at all, it would've been $56 worth of missing food........again I always try to give small establishments the benefit of the doubt but come on.... Now onto the food. The Mac and cheese, collard greens, and baked beans were great. 10/10 they were really really good. As you can probably tell by the photos....the pork was extremely dry and extremely tough. The only type of moisture in it was from the heaping amounts of grease in the bottom of the containter. I don't believe it's hickory smoked either, you can taste some oak but I can't really tell what wood their using. Regardless you could barely taste it at all because they rush cooked it. The "rib tips" are basically just pieces of charcoal. I've never had a bite of meat that tough, dry, and burnt. I mean so dry and tough that my jaw was sore after eating 2 of them lol. The slaw was flavorless, which isn't really a good or bad thing. Just depends on the person. For people who are cutting on sugar or trying to eat clean it would be the perfect slaw for you. If you want the classic slaw flavor then it wouldn't be for you. The corn was also mid. So over all It's 1 star from me, or 1.5. Not only was a big portion of our meal missing, but the food quality and flavor was mid. I understand that things can get busy on a day like this, but you can also stop taking orders so you can focus on paid orders and food quality. read more

Finally made it here!!! Better late than never, right? RIght!! I had every intention of getting BBQ but realized after looking at the menu that it was Sunday and I could get a Fried Fish Dinner so that's exactly what I did!!! The fried fish was absolutely amazing!!! The breading has a tasty seasoning to it. The texture was perfect and every single bite was satisfying!! Bonus points that the fish was cooked fresh to order!!! For my sides I got the mac and cheese and the collard greens. Mac and cheese was cheesy cheesy, which I enjoyed. The collard greens were delicious!! Did grandma make these because they had that old school soul flavoring to them. Portion sizes are generous and the pricing is on par. Staff was friendly from start to finish!! Shout out to the lovely lady who offered me some of the burnt ends to try as I waited for my food and in that moment I knew that this will be my meal on my next visit. I gotta try the wings too!! It's a good location and when I walked up to check it out, the smoker was open and must have been about 10 -15 slabs of ribs on their sides. Glistening and looking very delicious, great color looking very moist and tempting. I should have went to the gentlemen and bought a slab from the smoker. At the shack, I ordered burnt ends, half slab of ribs and brisket, along with baked beans and collard greens. It's my fault b/c I open the Box up to check my order noticing the sides were missing but did not think to get in the sun and look at food and take a taste. When I got home about 20 miles later, ribs black as charcoal and tougher than leather; burnt ends, were like chunks of charcoal and the brisket over cooked and burnt as well except for one slice that was edible, which i chopped up and put with the baked beans. That was all i ate. If you go, please open up your box on the spot and take a bite. For me, only if I am stranded on the road will I go back, but if I do, I will take a bite on the spot, or buy what's on the smoker. read more

Had to be in Dumfries this weekend for a soccer tournament. Knew I had to find a good lunch to make the day complete. I found it! Dyvine was top notch. And you need to know I am a BBQ SPOILED BRAT. I am well experienced in all types of BBQ and I spend a good amount of time in Charleston SC at both Lewis BBQ and Rodney Scott's BBQ...2 of the best anywhere. finally decided to give this place a shot after passing by a few times. Went all in with the 2 meat 2 side combo and a turkey leg with mac and cheese.Let's break it down. Ribs were alright, but kinda dry and needed a heavy pour of BBQ sauce. The chicken quarter? Absolute disaster. Charred to oblivion, tasted like straight-up charcoal. Had to scrape off the burnt bits just to find some meat, but even that was bone-dry and bland. Ended up in the trash.The turkey leg? Yeah, also way too charred and saltier than the Dead Sea. Sides were nothing to write home about either - potato salad was probably from a tub, coleslaw was just shredded cabbage with no love, and the mac and cheese? The good: potato salad and BBQ sauce were excellent 5/5. The brisket was 1/5. The flavor was okay, but there was way too much fat and it had been sliced with the grain, not across. As a result it seemed tough and was difficult to chew. The Cole slaw was also 1/5. It had almost no sauce and no flavor. It was essentially chopped cabbage and nothing else. This disappointing meal cost me $27.50. Yes, for one meal. The sign on the food trailer indicates one meat with two sides is $15 plus tax. BUT after waiting in the heat for about 15 minutes to order, I was informed the brisket counts as a two meat combo, even though you only get one meat. It appeared to be about 1/3 pound of brisket. I will not be going back. We moved to the area from Texas a few years ago and are still looking for a place to get good or better brisket. read more

I want to start by saying the chopped chicken sandwich here is good, a little tough, but good. I ordered two sides with my sandwich (mac & cheese + cole slaw). Both were very bland. The mac looks to have seasoning but I felt like it needed a little salt. The staff member taking the order was extremely friendly but the member taking payment was not. She also had what appeared to be poor hygiene as her nails had black debri under them. Also, when I mentioned that I had a coupon for checking in with yelp she would not honor the coupon saying I didn't have chopped chicken when their menu says they offer chopped chicken sandwiches. Overall, I was pretty disappointed because I really excited to try this place out. Ive driven past it a few times over the last few weeks and finally decided to stop. Not sure how to call this bbq. Honestly it was the worst I have ever had. The rib tips were so dry they were horrible. I got one meat and 2 sides for $15. That consists of 4 horrible rub tips and some below average Mac and cheese. The potatoe salad was good but I suspect that was out of a Container as there is no way this place is capable Iog good food. This place is so much closer and I'm glad I discovered it earlier this year. Its located close to Prince William Forest Park so its great to go for a hike and then pig out here!
