The wife had the ribeye and ribs special the ribs were good but the steak was subpar at best. The wait staff was great and attentive. Reviews people said it was good so we thought hey why not , we go in hostess seated us told us which page on menu are the drinks and told us our server would be with us soon so me and my boyfriend are looking around talking and our waitress comes up asks us what drinks we'd like and she brought our drinks and took our order which came out 10-15 min after ordering first glance I was like there's no way this is what I ordered , I ordered the 2 meat combo brisket and grilled chicken and my boyfriend ordered the same but brisket and pulled pork , it didn't look appetizing at all the brisket looked like spam just on a toasted bread the chicken felt cold to the touch the inside was warm some what and as I tried to check to see if the chicken was cold in the inside it looked pink PINK and I don't think chicken should look pink as how I had it but more cold than anything the pulled pork was pork fat mush my boyfriend only took one bite and didn't want anymore he ate some of his mash potato and I ate some of my mac and cheese both were good somewhat not the best I've had also to add the brisket was thick and hard to bite very chewy like Rubbery texture we were Dissapointed and disgusted we just wanted the check the server eventually came after like 10 min mind you it was pretty empty probably about 2 other tables she gave us the check we placed the card 5 min later she came to take it over all service wasn't the best either also for small portion of food it was a bit pricey not to much my stomach instantly started feeling queasy and I started feeling nauseous after eating the food read more

I'm not sure what Dave is famous for, but unfortunately for my daughter and I, it was not hot food nor service. Just had lunch there on a Tuesday afternoon around 1:00 PM. Had to wait five minutes before being greeted by the hostess to be seated. The waiter arrived after a few minutes and took our order and was pleasant enough. Then we waited....eventually we could see our meals placed on the rack by the cook, ready for pickup. Tick, tick, tick, time passes. Literally 10 minutes pass before a staff member, not our waiter, brings our food. To call the temperature of the food tepid, would be an extreme exaggeration in hotness. My loaded bake potato was literally cold in places. My daughters pulled pork sandwich and fries were not any better. It's a shame as the temperature of the food ( or lack there of ) totally eclipsed the taste of the food, which seemed like it might have been good if only served even somewhat promptly after being cooked. Because of the potential for good food, I'll give it two stars rather than one. They really do need to have more staff to seat guests as they arrive. I don't expect instant service, but it's almost always a bad sign to have a vacant host station for an extended period of time. I have my doubts that I will ever return. read more

They advertised outside on a banner $10.99 lunch. It's a lost leader they have absolutely nothing for that price. When I questioned the waitress, she spoke to me like a used car salesman. I hade a BBQ pork baked potato and a glass of iced tea. My bill was $21.21. It was room temperature at best. It also took over 10 minutes before we saw our waitress. The food tasted great, but it was extremely cold, almost as if it sat out for 10 minutes before getting to us. We went for dinner the other night. Just a party of two. We sat for what must have been an hour, then the waitress tells us there's no brisket - it would be out in 30 min. If I was only reviewing the Brisket I would have gave it 1 star. The brisket was tough, no type of seasoning or rub, no smoke ring on the meat. Didn't taste good even with their BBQ sauce I will not be ordering the Brisket dinner again. You get a ton of sliced brisket just doesn't taste good. He acted in such shock when I told him about how my chicken was extremely pink and he had no consideration and just stated that he personally tests the chicken himself. Look I understand it's a Friday night and people want their food to be ready but when chicken comes out looking like that it's clearly still clucking If I wanted to eat raw chicken or "cooked" as it supposedly was I would've gone to a farm. The mac and cheese was very bland, you can even see the amount of pepper I tried applying to savor it but unfortunately it wasn't up to my standard. The collard greens were dry as well and the mashed potatoes were very bland. The only thing I will say that tasted great was the cornbread. I would eat ten of those and only those. Other than that I believe when it comes to criticism especially if we weren't satisfied with the order at least recommend something you think would be more fitting rather than leaving us there with no explanation or apology. Your servers are doing the best that they can to get that place running but you sir look like you've never even tasted your food. Also I probably should point out that the demographic really does speak for itself meaning it's just catered towards white folks that don't know the true value of seasoning. This is a southern food place? For the prices I expect the food to be bigger and have larger portions but no it was definitely not a lot. Firstly, props to employee Sam. As a new single father, it's challenging trying to top Mom's home-cooked meals for my daughter. She's also a very picky eater. Coupled with my crazy work schedule, once a week I choose to eat out. In this case, I was preparing my daughter for some ribs made elsewhere. Long story short, when I brought my meal home that night, the ribs were very overcooked. Ribs already don't have a lot of meat on them, so after pulling apart the dry parts, I was left hungry still on top of frustrated. (Fortunately, my daughter only wanted her fries, so she never tasted the ribs.). I called Famous Dave's back and spoke to Sam, who apologized and acknowledged that my ribs were most likely overcooked. As it was close to closing time and I was already at home, we worked out an agreement that I would try again the next day, as Sam had assured me the ribs would be fresh. I called him 15 minutes prior to arriving and not only were they fresh out of the oven when I got there, he upgraded my original order from a 6 rack to a full rack (12) of ribs. That said, he righted the wrong and I would gladly go back again and recommend others as well. (I was already a fan of this place anyway.) We all ordered. One daughter had ribs. The other pulled pork. My husband had a 3 meat plate and I had a 2 meat plate. ONE of my meats was ok. The other was COLD. And all 3 of my husbands was cold. And I mean cold as if it sat there all day till it got room temp. Both daughters meats were also cold and one daughter's mash potato's were cold as well. The flavors were good and my sides were good but it completely ruined the meal. My daughters ate theirs cold. My husband packed his up to eat at home. And I told them they can have my meat that was cold since I won't eat it. I have no problem paying for what I did eat which was one meat and sides. They did comp one meal. But I think they should have instead took the food and remade it. We would have waited. They didn't offer (new waitress). They did give us a gift certificate good for only 30 days but I don't think we will be back. The person that brought our food out wasn't the friendliest but maybe she was having a bad day. Idk. Upon arrival, our names were promptly taken. It was 5:30, and although a game was playing, the noise level was quite manageable. The restaurant was busy, but we were seated within 10 minutes. Joshua, our server, greeted us right away and was fantastic--friendly, helpful, and attentive. He kept our drinks topped off and brought us some chips, taking the time to explain each of the accompanying sauces. Since it was our first visit, we asked for his recommendations. He mentioned that the ribs were their specialty, so we each ordered a salad and a plate of ribs. One of the options he suggested was a sampler platter that offered a little bit of everything. While it was more than we could manage, we look forward to returning with friends to give it a try. The parking was convenient, and overall, we had a great experience. I am VERY sceptical about trying new places, my boyfriends wanted bbq so we came here it was empty but we came early. the service was super quick! and our server Amy was very helpful!! she answered all of our questions and helped us decide what we wanted and when they didn't have raspberry ice tea she made me raspberry ice tea herself which tasted fantastic!!
