This place just opened and I glad they did. They have a nice selection of seafood. This time I tried the fried calamari, fried oysters, shrimp po boy with fries and BBQ chicken wings. The food is good. We ordered the family meal and we selected the crab legs and muscles with the house special sauce mild. I thought the house special sauce tasted similar to yellow curry. The breaded chicken wings were really good. The service is great and the food came out quick, which is awesome. The environment of the restaurant is nice and chill. I'm glad there's crab house place near my house. The only recommendation I would ask for is to add more juice/liquid sauce to the crab bag for dipping and to add to the rice. read more

I ordered a few different types of clams and green mussels in hot garlic butter, and they were really good--and very spicy! I ordered extra sauce, but it definitely wasn't necessary since they came with plenty. The clams were tasty and I'd order them again. I've tried many seafood boil spots. Boiling crab, backyard bayou, cajun crackn, bag o crab, etc...this is the worst one i've ever tried. It was new so I was curious about it. The shrimp was overcooked and the flavor was not good. Also, I ordered a pound of shrimp and received maybe 1/2 lb, if that. It took forever for them to take our order and even longer to receive it. Definitely do not recommend. I know we don't live in the bay area, so if you're craving seafood boil, you're better off at Bag O Crab. The service is also way better there. If you're in Stockton, hit up Cajun Crackn. HOWEVER, I will say the waiter was really nice and apologetic of how long we waited. He even gave me 10% off when I paid. read more

Decided to come here for dinner. Not sure how long its been open but they still had a grand opening sign outside. We ordered crab legs, shrimp, clams , and sausage with house sauce. Im a little sad they didnt have garlic noodles. I wish service was more attentive especially when it wasnt busy. Our cups of water sat there waiting to get refilled. We visited Crab House on a weekday in the early evening. We were greeted and seated right away. We were given ample time to go over and understand the menu. We ended up ordering the family meal. Paid extra for the Dungeness crab and ordered the black mussels and head-on shrimp and it comes with corn and potatoes. We added the sausages for an additional cost. Also ordered 12pc bbq wings and I ordered a fry basket that consisted of fried catfish, fried shrimp and fried oysters with a side of Cajun fries. The minutes go by and 2 bags were brought to our table. First bag had the shrimp,crab legs, mussels along with the potatoes and corn. The second bag had the sausages we added to the order. Moments later the 12 pc wings arrived. My family began eating as I wait for my fry basket. (I can't eat spicy food so I stayed away from the seafood boil) about 10 minutes pass and another bag shows up at our table. This bag had the entire family meal all in 1 bag. Turns out that the first 2 bags was not ours and this new bag was actually ours. Keep in mind that the first 2 bags had the exact same things we ordered and the third bag was the same order but just in one bag. (I'm still waiting for my fry basket) Our server took the first bag that had already been opened and left us the third bag that was brought out. And then continued to inform us that there was a malfunction with the system and our table was the only one affected. Informed me that my fry basket will be out soon. Time goes by (about 15 minutes) and the fry basket that came was 4 chicken strips and regular fries. Not even close to what I originally ordered. I sent it right back and by this time my family is close to finishing their meal. Total time spent in the restaurant was about 1 1/2 hours. I never got my fry basket. Big mixup of what our order was. Only thing correct was the 12pc wings. I paid for the wings. The family meal and the additional costs for that meal. Was charged an additional $1.25 for an additional corn that we never ordered. I thought corn was a part of the meal. Long story short... I left hungry and my first visit to this establishment was with a bad taste in my mouth. I ended up going down the road and just getting another meal to go. Only thing descent about this whole experience is that the server was very kind and apologetic. We had a total of 3 servers and the problem never got corrected. Only thing I can say is better training and communication is needed by the staff. When we walked in we were sat down & that was the last interaction we had with the staff. No one ever asked us if we wanted drinks or took our order. The place wasnt busy so it's unacceptable to not even acknowledge us with a I'll be right either way you or can I get you something to drink. After 15-20 minutes of not be acknowledged, we decided to leave. Before leaving we informed the hostess why we were leaving. No apologies just a blank stare. i have really mixed reviews about this place but this was my experience. i've never been here before but have seen videos on tiktok. one in particular where someone complained about the sauce tasting like curry and how horrible she spoke about it so that made me want to try the place out for myself. i checked yelp for the menu and saw that there is a lunch special menu which would be perfect for what i was wanting this day (nothing too filling) i looked at both menus and decided to inquire about the lunch special head on shrimp for $12 at 3/4lbs over the regular menu of 1/2lb and full lbs. i called and spoke to a girl and asked specifically about the lunch menu. I asked if it was dine in only or if i was able to order otp and pick up. she said that I was able to. so i proceed. i ordered and clarified "can i get the lunch special head on shrimp" then continued with my sauce flavor and added a corn on the cob. without even realizing she asks me "1/2lb or 1lb" and in quick response i said 1/2 head on. i arrive to pick up and my order was ready. the girls were nice and i swiftly checked out. as i was leaving i realized "hmm my total was kind of high" it was $27.xx when the lunch special was priced at $12. i looked at the receipt and saw "1lb" i was already in my car and was like oh well, i guess ill just eat a pound and proceeded home. my mistake. something was bothering me about the total bc it didn't seem right so while i was on the way home i picked the bag up to read again and saw it said "1lb no head" so i opened the bag and sure enough it was that. if it was head on i would've sucked it up but after i got no head shrimp i couldn't do it (i prefer head on for the taste) so i called as i was almost home and told them that my order was incorrect. they asked how so and i explained. they said i can go back and they will fix it which i turned back around and went back to the restaurant. they issued a refund and charged me for 1/2lb shrimp head on and a corn. I checked the bag and saw just that. when i got home to eat it dawned on me that this whole time my "lunch special 3/4lb" was mistaken for 1/2 pound. first on their end and then on mine which whatever that's fine i'll suck it up. but what i can't get over is the amount of shrimp i received. it was definitely not 1/2 pound. im familiar with how much shrimp a 1/2 pound is bc i usually order that amount and this was not it. it was 1/4 pound at best. i wish i would've taken a picture but i had about 7 pieces of shrimp in my bag. i'm not sure how they are weighing their shrimp, with the sauce? with my corn? but it was disappointing. i read on another review someone experienced a similar issue with their shrimp and weight. taste wise: did it taste like curry? no. but if you aren't familiar and used to these specific spices i can see why someone would say or think that it tastes like curry. i really wanted to like this place but im unsure due to my entire experience. i forgot to add; when i came back to the restaurant the front staff took my bag back that was incorrect. idk about other places but in times this has happened, especially if its the restaurants fault out of inconvenience the restaurant will always tell the customer to keep the food that was incorrect bc what else are you going to do with it? at that point its trash. i'm just hoping it wasn't reused. read more
