Scott is very welcoming and a wonderful advisor on skates, equipment and sharpening. I get the flat bottom edge on my skates. I don't even need to tell Scott what type of sharpening--he just remembers and does an excellent job.

It took me a bit to figure it out but I ended up getting what I needed which was a Uhaul truck. I did order additional equipment: furniture pads and dollys. They were not loaded into the truck and there was no indication of how I could retrieve them since they were closed. Again, I got what I needed which was a Uhaul truck but I was basing how much help I needed on having 2 dollies so to not have them was an inconvenience. After returning my truck and noting that the equipment was not present, I received a receipt the next day with a refund for only a portion of the missing additional equipment. I'm glad that they recognized and did not charge me entirely for the missing equipment but there was not indication of why I wasn't given a full refund of that equipment. I reached out to them to simply ask why and I did not receive a response. Overall I would not recommend renting Uhaul equipment from this shop. Not sure how they are as a bike shop but I'm not willing to find out!

You can't get fitted correctly, and have service like this when ordering over the internet. It was truly worth purchasing work boots from a place like Chets in Spring Lake Park or Columbia Heights to get the professional service they offer.

Plus you can really see all the styles and brands right out in the open. The person helping us was pretty good. She measured my son's foot and brought out shoes I might like in his size. She also did a great job of asking questions about what I was looking for and answered all my questions about shoes. I never felt pressured to buy a particular brand or style. I also felt like she did a really great job of checking to make sure his feet fit. They are a little big, but toddler feet grow so fast that is ok. What knocks it down a star for me is space isn't super accessible. I had my son in a stroller. The store, which is meant for children so you know strollers will be coming and going, doesn't have a ramp. The store clerk also did nothing to help me get in the store. Granted she was helping the only other customer in the store at the time, but I was really struggling getting my stroller over the high lip at the door. Thankfully a passer by helped me out. It baffled me that a store that you would expect stroller traffic to be high at wouldn't be easily accessible. I know the building was probably built before ramps were required, but it would make it much easier getting in and out.

My niece always fussed whenever my sister or her dad put shoes on. She never really wore shoes before, so we figured that was it. We took her here, and the wonderful sales clerk looked at her feet, sized them, and figured out that she has wide set feet. She brought a few shoes out that she picked based on the fact that she has wide feet and had never really worn shoes before. She brought out soft sole shoes, which she said is good since she wasn't used to wearing them. The looked at my niece when she was explaining how soft soles would be better, and she was excellent at getting my niece engaged and involved and interested. The shoes fit perfectly and went on super easily. My niece fussed quite a bit, but she said it was because she wasn't used to it. She told us to just keep them on and she'll get used to it. We ended up buying two pairs. Within 24 hours, my niece was running all over the house with her brand new shoes! Months later, she has more shoes, and runs all over the place and loves them. I can't remember this woman's name, but she was the best! Very well informed, very experienced, and very patient! If you can see this, thank you!!

I've shopped here for years but until now have not submitted a review. I was reminded recently how…read moremuch I like this place. I have difficulty finding shoes that truly fit. Far too often I settled for less than ideal (too narrow, poor arch support, etc.) and suffered the consequences with aching feet, blisters and other irritations. Schuler employs people that actually understand how to measure ones feet and then properly size footwear. As a result I always walk out with shoes or boots that feel great, need no break-in period and look great. They offer a vast selection of quality brands and almost always have what I'm looking for and a perfect fit in stock. I usually wait for a sale and then stock up by buying multiple pairs of footwear. I've also joined their rewards program. Thus, pricing, particularly given the excellent service and quality selection becomes a relative bargain. This store can get busy but never to the point where I felt that I was unacknowledged or conversely felt rushed into making a purchase decision. My father used to say that nothing is more expensive than a cheap pair of shoes. Do your sore, tired, barking dogs a favor and check out Schuler.

She walked around the store looking for an item for the person on the phone without asking any of the other two associates to help or acknowledge me.This went on for sometime until it became so embarrassing to the people working in the store that one of them stopped and asked me if I've been helped. I said no and then received the help that I needed to do a return. I worked in women's clothing retail for sometime and I know that I would've received a verbal warning had a treated a customer this way.

There were several sales people on the floor helping other people. I went to the sale rack first and then asked an older lady if they had Vionics in size 12. She said no. When I had called they had implied that they had other Vionic styles in twelves so i thought that was weird. I grabbed the loafer I wanted and waited for another rep thinking she just misunderstood me. The next woman was more helpful, but the situation still wasn't ideal. I tried on a pair of Danskos that were an EU 42 but that is really just an 11.5. (Eyes Dansko from across an ocean...) If we're being honest here, I think there were no actual size twelves in the store, they didn't want to look, or they didn't know how to look. I asked her what she had in the store that came in a 12, but she wanted me to go around the store and point to individual shoe styles and say "How about this one? How about this one? How about this one?" Listen...I'm 42 years old. I know that 99% of the time the answer is going to be "no...we don't have that in a 12." I have 30 years of shoe buying trauma built up, I don't need that in my life on my birthday. So when I ask what styles you have in a size 12? I know there are probably going to be like six of them tops. And if there are more that is AMAZING but SAY so, have it written down somewhere. Take me to the computer and let's look up your inventory by SIZE so you can show me what you have in stock TODAY. (((It's why I'm here and not on zappos.))) Don't waste my time and make me feel like I don't belong. Especially when you brag about having extended sizes. And telling me you can order those Vionics? Not helpful. Because I can do that too. I'm there because your website made me feel like I might've able to try on shoes like a regular person...in a store. NOPE. Happy birthday to me. Sigh.
