When I called corporate, they told me that the $20 membership automatically renews every 6 months and not every year, like Nate had told me. I also felt like I was pressured into buying the upgraded membership during my second visit, which I found out later was $60. If there was more transparency about the membership price and other relevant information, my star rating would have been higher. This isn't good business practice. Also, if Nate had just apologized to me for his mistake instead of just stating facts without remorse after I gently confronted him or anytime during that visit, he would have gotten a better review. It takes a person of "great" character and integrity to tell the truth and own up to things and apologize if there was any wrongdoing. After this experience, I'll be buying my ASICS sneakers at the ASICS outlet in Jersey Shore Premium Outlets and the ASICS website. Update: They told me that my membership fee was going to be refunded. They still haven't issued my refund and it has been 5 days. I called them and they told me that my account number wasn't able to be found, but they are able to locate how much I paid and how I paid that day in the Shrewsbury location. The associate said she would escalate it to management and they would call me. A few phone calls later, they told me they found my account and confirmed finance had issued my refund yesterday and I'll be getting my refund 3-5 business days from June 18. Getting a refund issued shouldn't have to be complicated. STAY AWAY FROM THIS GREEDY COMPANY UNLESS YOU LIKE BEING SCREWED OVER!!! Also, if you are desperate to tell people to write a yelp review about you, the associate is love bombing you on the sales floor, and it's difficult to get a refund issued back to you, red flags should be going off. Use your best judgment, people.

I was looking for yoga pants and found high-waisted options with pockets in various neutral and fun colors. They also have fitting rooms where you can adjust the lighting to your mood. The rooms are spacious and equipped with a bar for a quick barre workout to see how the clothes feel during exercise. The quality of the clothes is excellent, and the salespeople were very helpful. If you can't find your size or desired color, they can order it for you.

Now don't get me wrong, associates are nice when you approach them but it looked like a lot of them didn't know what to do with themselves and were standing around bs-ing. I was looking at the selection of sneakers on the wall and noticed another patron was too. No one came up to us and asked us for help. I must've been looking at that wall and tossing it up between a couple of pairs but still, no one offered to help or see if I had questions let alone ask what size I wanted to try on. I have to chalk this one up to management - train your team to approach customers and not wait around until they seek help. Be a better example and by the epitome of customer service. Worst case, the customer says I'm just looking and don't need help.

    On 9/21/2014, I purchased 2 items at a local Spirit Halloween store in Middletown, NJ. I didn't…read morehave my coupon with me at the time but I was told that I could bring it back and they could adjust it. I returned to the store today (9/28/2014) with my receipt and my 2 coupons. I asked the store manager , 'KATHLEEN', if I could apply both coupons; she said she could only apply 1 coupon per transaction. So she applied 1 coupon in one of the items (even thought I didn't have the item with me). I asked her if I could also "virtually return" the other item and re-purchase it as a separate transaction so they could apply my second coupon towards it. (I happened to have the packaging of the other item but without the product in it (since I intended to keep it and to return it). "I said here is the package you can re-scan the SKU after I return it for a 'new' purchase and apply the coupon. Kathleen said that in order for her to do that the item has to be present. I could not understand why I was being asked to do that since I had the receipt and I was going to purchase it again. I tried to explain to her that the "return" process was only in paper since I was going to re-purchase it anyway. I said, PLEASE...I am here already; do you really want me to go home and get the product even though I have the receipt with me and drive all the way back here to buy it again?" She said I would have to bring the actual product in the package and then she can apply the coupon. She said that's the store policy; but didn't she just exchange my first item a few minutes ago without the product being present?! I asked to talk to her "boss"; she said that she did speak to him but she didn't let me talk to him. I was trying to keep my cool and gave her the benefit of the doubt that maybe this girl's (Kathleen) thought process is not up to my par (I am much older than her). She demanded that I bring the actual product to the store, even if I had the receipt with me, so I could re-purchase it. She said that returned items have to be "put away at the back" and after I return it I would have to get a new item from the display in the store. (still not making sense to me). The conversation was not going anywhere so I decided to leave, get the costume at home, put it back in the package and drove back to the store. Upon seeing me, she let another person, Mike, do the return-exchange. She was standing next to the other register. I told Kathleen, " I don't think you have my size in the store display; would you let me re-purchase what I am returning now? She said yes. I asked, "then why did you let me go home and drive all the way here when you could have done it earlier anyway? It just doesn't make sense!!!" She grumbled and said, "DON'T EVER COME BACK TO THIS STORE AGAIN!!!" I was stunned with I heard! Where is "customers are always right?" in this store? I was so offended and I left the store unhappy that I can't even enjoy the costume. There was no apology; no remorse; no customer service etiquette whatsoever. There are many Halloween stores in the area and on-line; nobody deserves to be treated this way. This kind of customer treatment has got to stop! Go to Party City -they will honor any competitive store!
