This review is on customer service. I was really disappointed with the way Savannah treated me. My fiancé forgot her return in the car, so I returned to get. She started shopping and as I returned with the box of shoes I walked toward the back of the store to give it to my fiancé. I was approaching her I heard someone saying sir... sir... I turned and it was Savannah. She asked if I was returning those and I said my fiancé was. She then reached for them and said I can hold these up front. I said wait, Jen she wants to take these and then she said I need to hold them up front. I was very confused on my she needed to take something away that we owned. Ok. It's not the policy of holding them up front. That's fine,but this girls demeanor and tone made me feel like I did something wrong. Those shoes in my hand we already bought and owned. Yes we were going to return them but where does it say in the store that I must hold them at the front desk? She made me feel pretty uncomfortable. I really think this is a teachable moment. At no point during the time when she confronted me nor when we checked out purchasing two more pairs of shoes was she even friendly or apologetic. I could have easily gotten upset with her but it wasn't worth it. She was having a bad day clearly and made me think that going back to this store is not worth it. read more

I usually can find good work shoes here. I am in the medical field ;so always being on my feet ,it's important to find good shoes. In my opinion the price is great. The customer service is ok. read more

This review is for the manager Omar and the older lady (no name tag) who worked at the counter on 12/23 at 4 pm. I had called and asked if any Adidas were in stock and was curtly told by him, "No." and that he didn't "have time to check right now." I was genuine when I asked, "so I have to drive over there and check?" And he said,"Yep." If you don't want to help why even bother answering the phone? I have called there before to ask about shoes in stock and have never been told that. I thought it was a joke. I also worked in customer service for ten years and I can count on one hand how many times I ever told someone no... I just said alrightyyyy then and hung up. I needed the shoes so I made the drive over there. While I was in line I overheard the older lady at the register tell two other customers that someone had called in with a bad attitude because they didn't have the time to check for things in stock since they were short staffed. She said she doesn't lose sleep over people like me and some other rude things I won't bother repeating. I work for USPS 6 days a week/12 hour days. 14 hours since the holidays and my feet literally depend on good shoes. I didn't have an attitude... I just wanted to know if you had the shoes I wanted before having to drive over from a different town after work. Moral of the story is don't bad mouth your customers... it's tacky and honestly makes your store look bad. I'll stick to ordering online since you guys treated me like an absolute inconvenience and don't appreciate my business. Also check your own attitudes. It took two seconds for the kid who rang me up to find a store that had the shoes I was looking for. You guys acted like I asked you for the world when it was the bare minimum of customer service. read more

So me and a group of people walked into the famous footwear and one of the members of my group had no mask on because she was fully vaccinated and we walked in and this rude employee asked if she had a mask and she said that she doesn't have to wear a mask. Because she is fully vaccinated and so she follows us and said unfortunately according to corporate you have to wear a mask and we walked out this is harassment to fully vaccinated customers and the CDC says you don't have to wear one anymore for vaccinated people and we will not shop at famous footwear anymore. read more

Received a coupon to save on the latest styles. Get $10.00 off your purchase of $50.00, $15.00 off your purchase of $75.00 and $20.00 off your purchase of $100.00. So I decided great I went to get me a pair of low top Converse for $54.99. Went to check out gave them my coupon and was told sorry this coupon is not going threw I said it above $50.00. Then he looks and says there are certain brands excluded from this coupon he started name off Birkenstock, Bogs, Brooks, Chaco, Converse, Croc's, Dr Marten's, Ugg, Nike, Skechers, New Balance, Steve Madden. I go you just named off everything the store carries that coupon Famous Footwear mailed out is worthless. It's like baiting us into the store for a deal then making us pay regular price. This place is terrible. I've worked at another famous footwear for almost two years until I had to transfer to this one right before my wedding. I know how Famous Footwear's are supposed to be run and this is not the way. Everyone is on their phone the entire time. They could care less if people steal. They treat their employees like garbage. I was on my phone texting my fiancée once while I've been stuck at the register and another manager had the balls to say to me that she understood it was my last day and how I needed to be facing while she has been on her phone the entire time in front of customers? The manager could care less about customer service and treats everyone like garbage. He'll even go get his haircut while on the clock. Ridiculous. Customer service at the Riverbank Crossroads center store is terrible. I went to the store to return a pair of shoes and to exchange for another and the manager accused me of throwing the shoes at him ( I slid them across the counter ) he yelled hatefully that I was rude ( twice ) he told me he could not sell me the shoe I wanted to exchange for until the next day because it wouldn't be in the system until then , when a customer walked in he quickly changed his tone and said I can give you a discount and preceded to sell me the same shoe that he said was not in the system . I have shopped with Famous Footwear fir years but I will not shop there any longer . I called and turned him in and have heard nothing so maybe it's Customer service from the top . read more

Wrote them to see what's going on and tell me that they have no idea when my shoes will be shipped because it's from another vender!! I love to go to this place for the BO-GO this time there was a sale on clearance items and on one of the clearance items we found that multiple pairs in the same style shoe were miss marked and Stephanie who was so awesome and honored the price and still gave us an awesome attitude thanks! Horrible customer service. Every time that I have came to this store, the store associates are not helpful at all. I have given this place three chances..and three strikes they are out!! I went there last Tuesday with my 9 year old son...hoping the find shoes for him. I did find a pair that he liked and asked the lady if they have his size and all she did was look at the shelves and didn't even bother to go in the back and look. I asked her politely if she if they have his size in the back she simply said no. I think she was being lazy. Another occasion the store manager (some guy with glasses) was absolutely no help at all. I was trying to get shoes for my 4 year old son. I wasn't sure about his size..so the manager came, he basically told my boy to put his foot on the mat..wasn't even willing to help him place his foot on the mat. It was weird. I had the worst experience with customer service at this store. My mom and I were trying to make a return for an online purchase and they would not accept the only form of receipt we received with the package. The cashier and manager, Omar, were not willing to help, both seemed annoyed with us from the start, and Omar spoke to us in a demeaning tone the entire time. Even the woman who was in line before us had the same issue with her return, and they admitted it was a glitch in their system yet they still did not want to do anything to resolve the issue and spoke to us disrespectfully. We will be making the return through their online service and I will NEVER shop at this store again. read more

First off, shoe selection is good. My review is pointed at the customer service. I walked in with the intention to purchase 3-4 pairs of shoes. I had two pairs already picked out and was walking around the store to try them out and see if they would work for me. As I was walking around I could hear and see two employees watching me vigilantly talking about me running out with the shoes and stealing them. I don't dress like I own a bank but I don't dress like I'm from the ghetto. I was in my comfy Sunday wear. They completely judged me by what I was wearing to the point I felt so uncomfortable and ashamed. I left the store and spent absolutely no money. I will be calling corporate. Don't come here in a tank top and a pair of basketball shorts and expect not to get judged. read more

I ordered my son a pair of shoes on Aug. 13th and was told we'd have the shoes delivered in 3-5 business days. We're still waiting for the shoes and every time I call to track it it just gives a recording that it'll be delivered the next day. Don't call the store for any help because they all have conflicting stories. I don't think anyone in there knows and just makes their answers up as they go along. It's very disappointing to see my little guys face when he checks the mail. read more

Buyer Beware: I bought 2 pairs of shoes for my daughter to take home for her to try on. They were both too small so I returned them. The cashier checked and one pair had obviously been warn. Black marks on the soles and even some dirt stuck in there. I assured him that we never wore them outside. I don't think my daughter even tried them on because they were the smaller of the two sizes. So this means I bought the dirty and worn shoes from this store. We argued back and forth until he finally returned them. He told me that he checked them personally when I bought them. Obviously he didn't. So make sure you check the shoes thoroughly before you take them out of the store. Especially if there's any chance you need to return them! More than 1 star because he did return them. Less than 3 stars because he made me feel like a criminal for returning them. I'm guessing the same shoes are for sale there right now. read more
