My nail technician was very nice and easy to talk with, but I came out with polish on my skin, a nail that I had to file myself, and one nail that I had to turn around and go back the next day to get fixed because there were bubbles that I just couldn't ignore. Still wasn't 100% pleased with the re-do but I was over it at this point. I loved the color and what she did with a glitter color on my ring fingers, but for a gel polish manicure with some of the missteps that I stated above, it was ridiculously overpriced. I really want to give 5 stars but I just can't! The service was amazing and my nail technician was very detail oriented. I got a Mani Pedi and the service was great. Once of the best pedicures ever and such a great value. But j have to give only 3 stars for the polish! Perhaps the most important thing. That night when I got home I notice a nail had chipped. And then over the next 2 days every single nail had a chip. Even my toes had a chip in them and a pedi usually last me 2 weeks at other salons. My nails had bubbles and the polish wasn't smooth. In so disappointed maybe I had a bad batch of polish but both my pedi and mani look horrible worst than if I did it. Worst part is was for a friends wedding and the day of the wedding I found myself searching for nail polish remover to take it off because it looked so horrible. Will give them another shot but maybe I'll just bring my own polish. read more

This has to be the worst salon ever....and that sucks for me to say that because Lin does my eyebrows and she is amazing. I went there to have an SNS fill-in. They decided that I needed a new set...cool...but then they proceeded to soak my nails for 45 minutes. Meanwhile, the tech starts on another full set, so I am sitting there looking stupid. I went there on my lunch break. I did not get my fill-in. I got my nails partially soaked off which was not my original plan. Though they did not charge me for the soak-off, they would have not been justified. Now usually, I do not write Yelp reviews, but since I had came to this salon before for a pedicure, and they did something similar, (soaking my feet in water for an extended period of time) I decided enough was enough. I really liked Lin who did my eyebrows but when it comes to their time management and communication with clients, they are severely lacking and can overall do better. read more

Famous Nails is a great place to come get a pedicure and your eyebrows done. The atmosphere is calming with nice chairs and friendly staff. The nail technician took his time to ensure my nails looked perfect for my vacation! I will recommend this place any day. read more

Yen normally does my nails and every time she is rude! She thinks that I should not voice my opinion about my own nails that I pay for. Every time I come here I pay at the minimum $90. I do not appreciate or tolerate this type of craziness hence the review. Shelly the owner was not here to handle the situation so this is the outcome,! I have been going to this salon for a few tears now and I have recently had one of the worst experiences. I went in last Tuesday to get a full set of acrylics and they were okay, not the best I have gotten there but I wasnt upset about it. Until the very next day when two of the nails broke off when I was doing no type of rigorous activity. I was literally folding lay dry. I went back in the next day and got then fixed for $6. Everything was fine until another day later when 2 different nails broke off. Now I was getting irritated as i was about to leave town, went back and got those 2 fixed for free. 2 days later, 2 different nails broke off again. Ar this point I was furious and went back in bot ten minutes ago and said I just wanted them off because at this point I had spent $55 on them and it was not worth it. I explained that I had just gotten them done last week and had been back 3 times already to get nails repaired and this was unacceptable. I told the girl I didn't want to pay anymore money and honestly I shouldn't have to because I had them for a week and had already lost and repaired 4 nails. She came back and said the manager was going to charge me $10. I said no I am not paying for this because this is ridiculous and she said sorry we cannot help then. I'm just really furious, down $55 for horrible nails that keep breaking off. Will not be going back. read more

If I could give 0 stars that I would have!! This was my very first time here, as I usually go to magic nails, yet they were closed that day. A friend referred me to famous nails. I walked in an immediately they sat me in a chair, a lady walks up an starts doing my nails, seemed like she was a manager or even owner name was Tina. I tried to make convo with her as she seemed uninterested, as she kept getting on her cell phone, kept worrying about other customers in back getting feet done. WHY? I'm a customer too! She proceeded to keep getting on cell phone, talking to every other customer an employee not paying any attention to fixing my nails, she was really rushing. I have been getting my nails done for over 20 yrs an I know after they fill in an file down before they paint them u are supposed to wash your hands.. welp, I was not told to wash my hands at all she proceeded to just paint my nails over all the white debris everywhere, horrible just horrible, my nails do not feel smooth to the touch they are somewhat rough, as I have gel polish it should be smooth. As I was walking out I stopped to talk to a friend of mine, the worker Tina then approached me an my friend by the door where the chairs are to wait, told my friend to come with her, later that day my friend told me the lady moved her away from me, "because she said she knew I was talking about her". No ma'am I was talking about how rude An nasty your customer service is An how you never let me wash my hands before painting nails. So next time you have anything to say "Tina" you should have just approached me an said what u had to say. Not my friend... will never be back to this place again An I WILL make sure health department knows that customers are not washing hands An neither are the employees there, I didn't see one person in the hour I was there wash their hands AT ALL. This is my 2nd or 3rd time at this salon. I travel to Savannah on business and this is close to the area that I stay in.. That being said....DO NOT GO HERE. My nails chipped in the PARKING LOT. Had SNS the last time and it wasn't done correctly-they skipped several steps. Save your $$ and go elsewhere. Had a pedicure last night- the massage was so quick and rushed. I guess the tech was upset that I chose the "regular" and not the deluxe pedicure that she tried to push... Stay away.. There had to be better places in this town. read more

I love this place!!!!.... new in town and was really going crazy not finding a great place for nails and pedicures, waxing you name it they do it. Melinda and Havi are fast, awesome, and they know what they are doing... it's clean and modern and everyone is so very nice!!!... they go out of their way to make you feel relaxed and pampered. They offer cold drinks.. the music they play is on point. They do bridal parties ( did mine here )... so please take my word ...do yourself a favor a relishing time just of your own or bring friends...I swear you will walk out happy, relaxed and finding yourself making your next appointment!!!...p.s. I will definitely never go back here again. A male technician (don't know his name) did an acrylic fill for me. He never cleaned off the old portion that grew out and then he didn't file down the part near my cuticles. It started to grow out and not only was the acrylic high and not well blended in, but the whole thing started coming up because he didn't clean off the old acrylic. They looked completely awful. After all that, they charged me more than what was originally quoted and more than what it said on the wall. Stay away! read more

I went in last Monday to get a full set and a deluxe pedicure (treating myself for graduating). I was hoping for a nice relaxing trip, but unfortunately the man that was assigned to do my nails ruined the whole experience for me. While I was getting my pedicure he had me reach across my whole body and lift my arm up at an uncomfortable angle while doing my nails at the chair. The whole time he was muttering under his breath instructions to me that i had to keep asking him to repeat & was met with frustrated sighs. Once my pedicure was complete he transferred me over to the manicure station for the remainder of the nail application. He did not cut my cuticles or any of the steps I was accustomed to at other salons I have been to. In addition, he told me to put my hand down but because he was mumbling so inaudibly I thought he wanted me to put in in the dryer so I did. And oh my goodness that was the end of the world! He cried out and was extremely frustrated with me. So much so that the person next to me asked me what his problem was. I will NEVER go back to this place ever again. At the end of it all he took me up and said "$80" and walked away. I could never imagine acting the way he did to someone who just spent $80 at my establishment. Which was an outrageous amount to start with. Save yourself the money people, it's not worth it. Customer service here is abysmal. This should be a relaxing experience, & you won't find it here. read more
