Just don't. I read reviews about how good the "stuffed jalapeños" were. I saw him take them out of a box from the freezer. I read about how great the fries were...the fries tasted like shrimp. Our son and daughter-in-law turned us on to this place. Hubs and I went to PSU and Philly cheesesteaks were a staple. This place is great, taste is authentic. Rolls are spot on. Some reviewers said they were disappointed in the fries, we thought they were alright--fresh. We will definitely go back. You can eat in, however beware no central AC. I wanted a Philly Cheesesteak and found this place on Yelp. I ordered the Philly Cheese Steak. I did not order the combo, but regretted it when I saw the onion rings. The food is cooked when you order, but your patience will be rewarded. The sandwich was exactly what I envisioned. The bread was tasty as well. The 6 inch was more than enough. The sandwich was full of meat, cheese, onions, and peppers. The interior was very clean. I can't wait to go back and try the gyro and burgers. read more

I feel like it's mostly bread with some chopped up onions. If you have ever had a really good Philly Cheesesteak, this is not the place to go. You will leave this place disappointed. Okay. The chicken philly is damn near perfect. Great flavor, texture, meat to veggie ratio, everything. Only giving 4 stars because after I ordered I realized the cola options that come with the combo are all 12 oz. cans. And it felt like the guy in back left, hopped a flight to Philadelphia, grabbed a sandwich there, then hopped a flight to deliver it. Everyone in the place was sitting at a table with no food. We were all waiting and waiting and waiting. I would strongly suggest calling ahead to order and pick it up. This place really is a true hole in the wall. This place is delicious. I got a burger and fries. The fries were cooked perfectly, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The burger was super juicy and flavorful. Call in your Order if you are in a hurry because they make your food fresh. The guy at the front was really nice too and insisted that we call in our order for faster service. First time eating here. Very good cheesesteak for the price. $6.99 for a 6in cheesesteak with fries and a canned soda. Cheesesteak was nice and cheesey with slices of melted American cheese, diced red and green bell peppers (I am not a fan of green peppers and I couldn't even tell it was in there) and diced onion. Only downfall was I asked for mushroom in my sandwich and didn't see any. If they were in there, it was cut up so small that I could not taste it. The bread on this cheesesteak- OMG! So soft, and lightly toasted, flavorful, and held the sandwich together so well. The fries are double fried and looked like they're overcooked, but alas they are not. They're fluffy and are served to you nice and hot. I did add the packet of salt to my fries, but Im a sucker for salty fries. Overall good food. Location is small and A/C was not working at the time but there was a gigantic fan in there to cool you down. Would recommend. read more

So we were really excited about trying this place. My boyfriend called an order in and I went to pick it up. Place was very plain, which is fine and it wasn't ready which was fine, I was early. But when I went to pay I noticed there was a combo meal. We ordered two cheesesteaks and an order of fries and onion rings. I asked if I could get the combo because I wanted a drink and he said "no". He hadn't rang anything in and I just wanted a soda and it was going to be cheaper and he said "no, that's not how he called in the order, he ordered everything separately". I could see onion rings being an additional charge but really??? I'm in the industry and so is my boyfriend... this guy was so rude. We will not be returning and we haven't even eaten our food from there yet. May just trash it. $20 down the drain.... read more

Stumbled upon this little gem of a place upon relocating to the HEB area last year. Tried it for the first time sometime last summer when I'd called in and placed and order it after desperately searching Yelp for nearby, good locations. Philly cheese? Worth a shot. Ordered just a 6" for $6 and change and took my prize home to try. Upon arriving the customer service was fantastic, a warm greeting upon walking in, and very friendly. You can tell they care about how you receive your food and the quality of the food you receive. You know how some things you can just already tell? I could already tell this was going to be great. It didn't disappoint. I didn't have any leftover to share as I ranted on and on about how tasty it was to my bf. So today we ordered in advance, #3 combos, which is half a philly with fries, (they kindly substituted for tots - pleasantly). Both were awesome. Next time we will be getting foot longs for sure!
