    Almond rice salad
    Kawthar A.

This place was delightful! The lady at the counter was super nice. I came by for a quick lunch and got an almond rice salad and a small hummus that came with fresh pita bread. The salad dressing was perfect! Not sour or too sweet. Just right. The vegetables were fresh and the rice perfectly fluffy. They are halal. The hummus was absolutely perfect too! So smooth and creamy.

    The microwaved lentil soup :(

Came back because of a good experience prior, however this experience was very poor. Basically the food is not fresh. My lentil soup looked liked it was in the fridge and they microwaved it in the styrofoam container. The styrofoam container was slightly disfigured and the soups consistency reminded me of tapioca pudding. Gross. Definitely not the soup I had at previous occasions. Also, The chicken schwarma wrap was cold! Poor poor poor experience! Oh, and now charging 75 cents for a small bag of SAMs club pita bread....doesn't come with any meal.

Now I can only speak on my order. Chicken Shwarma. It was absolutley amazing! Every single bite as good as the next. I actually was getting upset that I was getting close to the end. Some people might have dropped it as entire star because of this. Again, amazing. Nice looking sitting area. Nice looking inside. Easy read menu board. Didnt check out the restroom area I was to dang hungry to think about that, lol. Anyways, if you're ever in Westland off Wayne and Palmer definetly stop in and try atleast my simple order. Chicken Shwarma..

Got a Spinach fattoush salad with chicken. It was amazing! I am on a health kick and this is going to be my go to lunch or dinner for busy days! They had fresh ingredients which included cucumbers, tomatoes and onions. I got a ton of food for 12 dollars! Price was so reasonable! They were quick which was nice too! I can't wait to try the chicken shawarma and the smoothies they offer!

Great chicken shawarma sandwiches! Best in Westland, Michigan. Fast and very close for a quick pick up.

The restaurant is mostly booths and got busiest after 7pm. The food was fabulous as always, I had a chicken schwarma sandwich and lentil soup. La Marsa is a staple, love that they have multiple convenient locations! I think the nicest location that I've been to is probably the one in FH on Drake & Grand River (or maybe Troy) but the Plymouth location is perfect for convenient carry out. Yum!

My husband and I are both obsessed with the half deboned chicken (white meat only), with the classic lemon-oregano sauce. The chicken has a bit of a char, but is still juicy. The sauce is a perfect balance of garlicky and herby goodness, with the bright snap of lemon. It's delicious! The chicken comes with two sides. I usually get hummus as a side, along with the roasted vegetables. My husband always eats half my hummus, so I get some of his rice. All the sides are delicious, except I wish the roasted vegetables had fewer green peppers. I'm just not a fan of them. The service is always super friendly and attentive. Love La Marsa!

I met my friend and his wife at this Middle Eastern eatery for lunch while I was in town. The…read moreSheikh Restaurant is located in a middle suite of a narrow Canton Township strip mall. Parking spaces were ample as the neighboring businesses weren't busy at all during this holiday week. The inside was not ornately decorated as some of the fancier places in the area that serve this type of cuisine. Between the booths and tables, my estimate was that the seating capacity was around 50 customers. The menu booklet contained several pages of offerings across the categories of appetizers, soups, salads, sides, wraps/subs, traditional dishes, and seafood/chops. For beverages, there were juices, smoothies, coffee, tea, and soft drinks. My friends each chose a different type of wrap for their meal. I picked one of the entrees from the traditional dishes which was the Gallaba over Hummus. In my hometown, I don't see gallaba as often as items like shish kabobs and shawarma. My order consisted of a choice of meat (lamb was my pick) sauteed with green peppers, onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, and carrots with special spices added. The mixture was served on a bed of hummus with my choice of rice on the side. A cup of chicken rice soup (instead of lentil) also came with this traditional dish. While we were waiting for our food, a basket of warm pita bread and a cup of garlic spread were provided. The spread was very pungent so I used it sparingly. An extra dinner salad was mistakenly added which I saved for leftovers. The gallaba was essentially a Middle Eastern version of a meat stir fry. The pieces of lamb were tender and not gamey. The spices added flavor but not saltiness. Between the bread, soup, rice, and gallaba, it was a generous portion size that also became leftovers for later. For the quality and price of my meal, I gave a four star rating for our visit to The Sheikh Restaurant.

I am the only customer inside for lunch today. Some food delivery pick-ups and the DoorDash ding going off in the background. Ordered the molokhia soup, lentil soup, combo mazza with fattoush less pita instead of the salata masria, feteer chicken shawarma and side of falafel. $49.78 They are out of the Fakhfakhina drink, sounds interesting with the strawberries, ice cream, sounds kind of like a float. I couldn't try a taste of the molokhia soup to see if it would be good or not. I have no idea what Jute is, had to look it up. It's a green leaf soup. I went with the feteer chicken since it's a light breading vs the hawashi. The lentil is extremely runny, doesn't taste as expected, rather subtle flavors, mostly bland. Some rice as filler. Comes in a small cup. The falafels are shaped like small donuts, they are crispy, but the inside is soft. They aren't too bad, just mostly taste the oil from the fry session more than the chick peas. Super light and crunchy though. The roasted eggplants are food, has a nice kick to it. The hummus is super smooth and a tad runny, reminds me of tahini sauce. The fattoush is okay. Could use some sumac to flavor it up some. The cucumbers are too water logged, tomatoes aren't ripe and lettuce is wilted. The Molokhia soup has a rather slimy and glutinous texture, it's quite odd. Not for me at all. Comes in a large bowl. The waiter waiting on me is eating behind the checkout counter after he dropped off my last dish. The feteer is an Egyptian quesadilla. Cheese, tomato, green peppers, black olives and chicken shawarma. It's good with the hummus or the garlic sauce. The feteer is definitely worth the I felt like the experience for me was very much transactional.
