This place is a hidden gem. From the outside, kit looks like any other Coney Island in Metro Detroit. Inside it is very clean, modern and inviting. The staff welcomed us and got us taken care of right off the bat. Our waitress was quick to fill our water; I can really put them away. My wife got the chicken noodle soup, which was one of the best we have found. It was definitely homemade, full of chicken breast and peppery in all the right ways. She got a grilled cheese, which was done just right. I ordered a grilled chicken salad, which I will get again. It was piled with freshly grilled chicken, a hard boiled egg, cucumber and tomato. It was fresh and the ranch dressing was definitely homemade. Please go check out this great little spot. This may be a new addition to our regular local haunts.

The food is out of this world fresh and prepared perfectly. The coffee is very good. The staff are absolutely amazing and attentive. My coffee cup was never empty. The portions are huge. The side of sausage gravy comes in a boat!! This is our second time here and we will keep coming back to try all the awesome stuff on the menu. The booths are new and the place is very clean!!

The menu has slightly changed since I have last been here. Wonder if there has been a change in ownership. No longer see the well dressed Greek man strolling the restaurant. The Greek Omelette I had was wonderful Filled with meat, green peppers, and onions. More importantly cooked to perfection. Prefer more French style omelette over the overly fried American omelettes. Rye toast is tasty too.

Stars are based on what would be expected of a typical family diner- not a fine dining experience. Great service, quick meal, hearty portions. Kiddo was pleased to learn that you could order anything, anytime (aka. Lunch for breakfast). Tip: if you order the feta & spinach omelet, maybe ask for half the spinach unless your name is Popeye. I thought the chicken noodle soup was quite tasty even though kiddo didn't save me any chicken.

Great service is the reason I love Rocky's Family Dining. I go for breakfast a couple times a week and have never had a bad experience. The food is tasty, the coffee is rich and the waitresses are friendly. The breakfast special is $5 Monday thru Friday between 6am and 11am. great price for eggs, hash browns, toast and meat of your choice. My lunch favorite is the Reuben and I must say it's so good. The menu is filled with all the comfort foods. Plenty of space for a small or large group to dine with your choice of tables or booths. The kitchen and restaurant and bathrooms are white glove clean. The parking lot is large and it's location makes it easy in and out. You can call in and have your order ready or have them deliver as well. Give them your business and your stomach will thank you.

    Wow....so good.

Great little family owned joint serving up comfort food aimed to please. Portions are lofty and the food is delicious - with a house full of eager regulars, clearly they've cracked the code on keeping the locals' bellies happily filled. Well done.

The grits in particular were excellent! My mom liked her potatoes but she did say she was a little jealous of the grits and took a few forkfuls from me. The benedict was also very good, served on a biscuit rather than the traditional english muffin, which I liked very much. Mine was a little light on the hollandaise so I would ask for a bit more of that next time. I also had an iced frozen latte which was quite good! Like many folks right now we're avoiding raw mixed greens so we both skipped those with our meals but even without it was still plenty of food. We also ordered beignets, a mix of powdered sugar and cinnamon sugar, with chocolate and foster's sauce (caramel) on the side. To me the beignets read more like a popover than a beignet but they were still good. Loved that they came warm and the foster's sauce was really nice! Our server was awesome and checked in on us regularly. Food came quickly, too. We did have to wait about 30 minutes for a table but it wasn't too bad and they'll take your number so you don't have to stay too close if you'd prefer to wait in your car (not much else to do around there, unless you're feeling like browsing Office Max next door). Overall a very solid dining experience and we both remarked we'd be eager to return again soon!

I ordered a sandwich with French Onion Soup (up charge of 2.99). The soup was very good - great flavor, cheesy and not too salty. My sandwich, Stevie's Wonder, was also very good. The Chargrilled chicken was tender and juicy. It was topped with bacon, Monterey Jack cheese and honey mustard on a brioche bun. I would order both these items again. My service was good from start to finish. My only complaint about this entire experience was the cost - just under $19 for soup and a sandwich. Lucky for me, the gift certificate covered it all.

After some time of waiting, they continued seating multiple groups that came in after us taking the tables of 4 that were available. They even seated the couple behind us in line at a 4 person table. I asked the hostess about my group and if I should take them elsewhere as they kept seating people behind us in line. She responded and said "it will be more time for your group. Looking to get tables close to each other". I told her that the reason why we stuck around was to get seated and was fine with splitting, as already discussed. Another table got sat ahead of us shortly after this conversation happened. My group instantly felt disrespected and not welcomed - which led to our group unanimously voting to leave. Unfortunate experience. Maybe just caught them on a bad day.

The waffle fries were some of the best I had. The wings were seasoned well. My only issue was a few wings had a dark color like the wing was injured and the meat had turned due to dried up blood. I had the triple triple omelet, with bacon, ham, sausage, and three different kinds of cheese. It was packed full of ingredients and very, very good. Unlike some omelets, it had plenty of cheese. I opted for fruit on the side, which was a nice serving of melon and grapes. I also opted for an English muffin instead of toast or a pancake, which was perfect. I asked for the English muffin hot with lots of butter, and she brought me about eight pats, which was definitely too much, but I appreciated that there was plenty! My daughter also had the same omelet, and said she enjoyed hers. My husband had two eggs over easy, with potatoes, bacon, and pancakes, and said it was nothing special, but good. What set the Hudson Café apart was that they had alcoholic breakfast cocktails, so I tried the espresso martini. Delicious! The whipped cream on top was especially good. I ended up having two!
