Horrible service. Our drinks were first brought out by a host, but then we waited about 15 minutes before our waitress, Fiona, even came over to greet our table. After she took our order, my food arrived, but I wasn't given any silverware. At the same time, my wife's meal was still sitting in the kitchen and had not been brought out. My food sat on the table for another 15 minutes before Fiona finally returned with silverware and the rest of our order. By the time I was able to eat, my food was ice cold. This was by far the worst restaurant experience I've had in Westland. The owners need to take a hard look at their staffing and service standards. This level of service is unacceptable, and the staff needs significant improvement. read more

We are here the other day! I have to say they have some of the best beef barley soup that I ever had with junks of very tender beef! The wait staff are very friendly and service was very good. I tried their steak out which was very flavorful and the mashed potatoes definitely tasted real! The steak was cooked just the way I love it medium well. My husband got the veal Parmesan and it tasted good. I would say their sauce was just okay. We will definitely come back and try out some other dishes. I couldn't get over how expensive their fountain pop ($3.50). Almost wish I got it to go since it was that expensive. They definitely have a lot of options on their menu. read more

This place is a hidden gem. From the outside, kit looks like any other Coney Island in Metro Detroit. Inside it is very clean, modern and inviting. The staff welcomed us and got us taken care of right off the bat. Our waitress was quick to fill our water; I can really put them away. My wife got the chicken noodle soup, which was one of the best we have found. It was definitely homemade, full of chicken breast and peppery in all the right ways. She got a grilled cheese, which was done just right. I ordered a grilled chicken salad, which I will get again. It was piled with freshly grilled chicken, a hard boiled egg, cucumber and tomato. This was our first visit, and we both left saying "I would come back here again" The booths are comfortable and clean, the menu had a lot of great options, and the food quality was top notch. I tried their chicken noodle soup, which had to have been made in house, and a grilled cheese which came out melty and crispy. My husband got the grilled chicken salad, which is enough for two, and that came with a side of pita. Our server was attentive and very pleasant. Totally blown away the biggest best Greek Trio OMG , couldn't eat half. Greek Trio Served with pastitsio, moussaka and spinach pie. All perfection would feed two hungry folks easy. Found pieces of metal scrubbing sponge inside my son's pancakes. My family and I will never be back. The cook just shrugged his shoulders and said it happens. Then places blame on the dish washer. Great service is the reason I love Rocky's Family Dining. I go for breakfast a couple times a week and have never had a bad experience. The food is tasty, the coffee is rich and the waitresses are friendly. The breakfast special is $5 Monday thru Friday between 6am and 11am. great price for eggs, hash browns, toast and meat of your choice. My lunch favorite is the Reuben and I must say it's so good. The menu is filled with all the comfort foods. Plenty of space for a small or large group to dine with your choice of tables or booths. The kitchen and restaurant and bathrooms are white glove clean. The parking lot is large and it's location makes it easy in and out. You can call in and have your order ready or have them deliver as well. On our last day in Detroit, we tried Rocky's Coney & Grill Family Dining based on a recommendation from our Uber driver. We ordered cheese sticks, the fish & chips and the hand-breaded "jumbo" fried shrimp. Needless to say, the fish & shrimp were inedible. The fish was slimy and tasteless, and the shrimp were hand-bread by Gorton's. We would definitely NOT recommend this restaurant. read more

As I continue my quest to support my local restaurants and businesses, I happen to be in Westland today picking up some meat from the meat market and saw this place next-door. I check them out on Yelp, as I always do before I order anywhere, and the fish and chips looked great so that's what I ordered. The fish was super clean and very crunchy. They serve 3-4 large pieces. Def worth ordering! It also came with fries, coleslaw and Jell-O. The coleslaw was kind of bland and who even serve Jell-O anymore. LOL! So old school and I love it. But I def loved the fish and I will definitely go back. Plus the price was reasonable. About $12 for all that food. read more

I enjoy eating at Rocky's.  The name is totally cool, that gets you started. There is plenty of parking though be careful if entering when heading north on Wayne Road.  The traffic can move quickly here and lots of careless drivers.  Once you're in, though, you should be okay. The parking lot is well lit and kept clear of obstructions so visiting during the evening or inclement weather is okay! The service is good and attentive.  If they are busy and they miss something let them know and they will correct it.  The food is very good.  I enjoyed the Gyro Dinner and rice pudding recently.  Well made and well presented.  The Tzatziki sauce is great! I also enjoyed the magnetic silverware.  Some of the silverware, only the ones with the fleuret at the bottom, had picked up a magnetization.  I had lots of fun making a silverware train around the table while I waited for my food to come. I know - don't play with the silverware - but it was magnetic.  I'll try to contain myself next time.  This place is great! read more

I came here for lunch with co-workers, and ordered a small Greek salad with grilled chicken. Now, I'm not really a salad person, but when I'm lunching with ladies I often feel peer-pressured to conform. Ladies who lunch with co-workers ALWAYS get salads. I was pleasantly surprised by the Greek salad. First, it came with lots of very flavorful grilled chicken, thus boasting the meat to lettuce ratio. Yay! It had a very sorry chunk of tomato, but the rest of the vegetables were fresh and tasty. I really liked the dressing. It lacked the mouth-puckering sourness that I've gotten from a lot of Greek dressings. I would actually order this salad again, even without the peer-pressure. read more

The past 3 times we have either eaten in or placed an order for pick up, the food was either mediocre or the order was completely wrong. We have had to drive back 2 times to have our order fixed, and the last time the waitress blamed us for the order not being correct, yet we had both written down exactly what we wanted before we placed the order, so that was the last straw. read more

I ordered delivery, I will never make that mistake again or go to this place. I quality of the food was average, but it was the poor way it was packed for delivery. The total with tip was $64 and whoever packed it, packed it all on top of each other. So the heavy stuffed cabbage container leaked into the hot turkey and smashed that container, and the chicken soup was placed on top of the carrot cake. So the soup leaks all over the entire bag, when the bottom styrofoam container collapses, the soup leaks into the carrot cake and the stuffed cabbage leaks through the bag and the turkey, what a mess. The Door Dash driver apologized and said this is how he got it, while he held his hand over the soaked brown paper bag to keep it from tearing open. This was one of my favorite restaurants to go to for breakfast they have a $3 or $4 dollar special that's yummy & fulfilling. I usually get grits, eggs, toast, and bacon. They have done some upgrades. The last visit the food seemed fresh, but I got sick I'm not sure if it was the ranch dressing or salad but I didn't feel well after I went home, I never had any issues before. I went with a friend & everything seemed to be okay with her meal. I haven't been back to this location since then, but the staff is nice, and friendly. The environment is good & warm. they have private parking. My experiences before the last were all good so I'm not sure what happened, but I haven't been back there since, but feel comfortable with them because of the service I received on prior visits. I ordered the chicken wing meal which came with fries, & a salad. I couldn't give this restaurant a five star due to the last encounter I had with them, but recommend trying them. read more
