This was my second time here and I had a much better experience the second time around! Service was very friendly and perfectly attentive. The food was very good! I don't like breakfast food, but I learned that their lunch menu is available all day so I ordered a tuna melt and it was quite good! My husband had a traditional breakfast and enjoyed his very much as well. I also need to give some extra kudos to the 4 (yes, four!) people that cleaned up a spill that was an accident, but completely my fault! They have the tall, thick glasses for water and my glass was completely full. I turned to feed my granddaughter and my elbow bumped the glass off the table. Water, ice, and shattered glass EVERYWHERE! It was such a mess. It required paper towels, cloth towels, a broom, and a mop to get it all picked up. UGH...I felt awful and apologized profusely. The description said they would come with whipped cream and berry compote. I got no whipped cream and a very very small amount of berry compote. It also came with no syrup! Service is on point. We had to wait for about 10/15 minutes b/c it was a Sunday but not to bad of a wait. Our waitress was attentive and prompt. She even gave me another drink when I ordered the wrong thing. We ordered the shrimp and grits which was. Eye good but it had very few shrimp in it and they were tiny. There were definitely more sausage than shrimp too. Overall it was a good meal, including the Irish cream coffee and rum-mimosa. The venue is quaint with an old-fashioned almost rustic decor. Our waitress, Meiyah, was attentive and nice. This location is brand new, beautifully decorated, and staffed with awesome people. It won't be long before this place is packed on weekends because the food is delicious! The Stuffed French Toast is tasty too. You can get a variety of favors. I always order the raspberry stuffing. For lunch, I get the Ham & Cheese Melt - which is nothing short of awesome. Try it! Have been a customer since I moved down here in June 2018...latched on to the Famous Hash immediately. Ordered it yesterday but it was clearly subpar. Too much potato and the hash wasn't cooked like before (the covidiot crap). I'm guessing the cooks are new or the product is different, but either way, for F.T. prices, quality better improve or my family won't eat here anymore. p.s. the face diapers are anti-social, creepy, and bad for the immune system. Excellent food every time. They have a breakfast bowl, not on the menu but a must try-potatos, eggs, meat, gravy... YUM! Coffee is consistent, staff are friendly, and weekend wait is ALWAYS worth it. We ordered through Grubhub. When the French toast and waffles arrived there was no syrup. When we called, we were told you have to specially request syrup. The person who answers the phone was dismissive and acted like we should have known waffles didn't come with syrup. They included sugar and creamer for the coffee without asking; why wouldn't they include condiments for the actual food? read more

I literately just finished my breakfast and was debating on 2 or 3 stars. Wish I could give 2 1/2 stars. I think 2 1/2 starts may represent a to go order best. Why? I decided to add spinach and onions to my Northwestern omelet. First of all there was like a glob of goat cheese on the side, in the middle of the omelet. It wasn't melted like it should have been. There was A TON of spinach in the beginning of me eating the omelet. I didn't detect any other cheese, which there should have been (what kind I can't remember). My omelet was also dry as desert, but that's technically not their fault because I suspect many people like it that way. I like my omelet a little juicy. The inside should have been a gooey center of goat and some other cheese mixed up with sautéed onions and spinach, spread evenly throughout. Extra points for an herb goat cheese. The hash browns were meh. I think they just placed a slice of cheese on top. It should have been a mixture of gooey cheese and potatoes with maybe a little sautéed onions mixed in. The toast had no butter or anything to wet it up. I assume there's butter on tables when you eat in the restaurant. There should have been some packs of butter. Now I have some in the house but what if I were staying in a hotel or eating this on the go? What would have been good is maybe some honey butter. They should think about that for to go and sit down orders. My slice of orange tho. That was on point! It was juicy and slightly cooled. Sad when the best part of brekky is a slice of orange. Decided to check out Famous Toastery yesterday 9/25 because I was in the mood for some pancakes. From viewing it online and on Yelp it seemed like a pretty decent place. The prices appeared to be high, but the food that you got was not worth it in my opinion. I got one big, thin pancake and two sunny side up eggs and they were mediocre. The eggs itself were cooked to my liking, but bland. I was disappointed that you only got one pancake with the Breakfast Combo and it was also bland and cold. Maybe I just had my expectations too high, but I don't think I'll be coming back. The one good thing I can note is that the employees I saw were wearing masks so that was comforting. read more

I rated a 2 only because of past experiences. My wife and I have been to different locations (including this one) numerous times. We were always completely satisfied. Went for breakfast today. A server (not our waitress, who's name I won't use) brought out our food. Everything was cold. Would have been nice to tell her but she did not come back to our table at all. She was helping her TWO other tables right near us. Never came back for a coffee refill or to ask how everything was. Basically, service was non existent after we got our food. As a regular customer to this location, I've gotten to know and appreciate the staff, their dedication to food quality, safety protocols, and the cleanliness of the restaurant, and the manager, Sandy, takes the time to interact with guests and ensure customer satisfaction. A heartwarming experience happened yesterday and was worthy of a glowing review. I had family in town for a few days last week...One is battling cancer, and another is under the age of 2 - I knew the tot would make a mess and the other was concerned with minimizing risk at this delicate time. I called the Indian Land location the day prior to our visit and spoke directly with Sandy. Asked her to please prepare the front corner table which was the most safe and socially distant from other diners so my relatives would be able to comfortably enjoy the meal, and the child would not be a distraction to others. I also inquired as to whether there would be the insanely perfect quiche available over the weekend. My timing was perfect; they were just getting ready to make it fresh, so I asked if they could possibly consider a western quiche special if they had the ingredients on hand. We arrived within moments of their opening time, and our table was ready with a high chair in place, in the "semi-private" corner by the windows. Walked in and were welcomed by the specials board; "Western Quiche" was on it! Sandy promptly came over to say hello and everyone was anticipating the breakfast offerings. Five people, $75 (including a Bloody Mary), delicious fresh squeezed orange juice, and portions that left us full almost all day. I received text messages from all of them regarding how thankful they were that I chose that restaurant as they left to drive back home, and how they look ever so forward to visiting that particular spot again. As we left, within seconds, one young man approached with a broom and dustpan, another staffer finished clearing what few items remained at the table, and Sandy thanked us for coming in and expressed how nice it was to meet everyone. Please support this Famous Toastery location. There are others closer to where I live but they pale in comparison; one is a corporate store and doesn't hold a candle to this perfectly run franchise and staff. Thank you for everything. O. M. G. #Meatloaf. Probably not the first dish that would cross your mind at a place called, "The Famous Toastery. Don't be fooled, though! It is THE best meatloaf I've ever had in any restaurant! The accompanying mashed potatoes are made to order and they put a mildly flavored cheese in their's. It also comes with a roasted vegetable medley that's very complimentary. This place is unique in that the waiter may change but the service is consistent. It's very warm and casual and there's likely a wait at the usual rush hours, but very well worth it. By 10:00 am on a week day, you should be able to seat yourself, asap. The menu has many options but I can't quit that meatloaf. One day, I'll branch out for a more brunch-like dish... Right now, though, my only complaint is that they do not stay open 24/7! read more

My family frequents this location most Sundays. We join the waiting list and walk right in to be seated. The staff is always friendly. There is easy access to parking. The food is always hot and delicious. I love that they have so many options on the menu. My two favorites are the French toast and the runners omelette with potatoes. I picked up breakfast from here two days in a row. The first day I got the stuffed strawberries and cream French toast and it was amazing. I am not a big French toast fan but it sounded so good that I had to try it. I was a little disappointed from the visual because the French toast looked a little on the burnt side but after tasting it my mind instantly changed. It was like the perfect amount of stuffing to the point I didn't really need the syrup that came with it. The sausage patties were also very tasty! The second morning I went I got the flapjack combo with potatoes and sausage. The flapjacks did not compare to how good the French toast was but it was still good. The sausage tasted the exact same as the day before which was great. The pancakes were nice and fluffy and had a good flavor to them.
