Horrible company and worst customer service ever. We had a fan that was faulty. They said they scheduled a tech, but never showed. We then hired another guy and we called Fanco the very next day because we could not get a hold of their tech that didn't make our appointment and had us waste our morning We spoke to the the manager Weston (I guess he is the CEO because he said he doesn't report to anyone as he stated.) and ask for his manager as he was very rude tom my wife that called previously. He then didn't let me get a word out and I got so frustrated that I cussed him out out of frustration. He then hung up on me and tried calling back with no answer. When he then answered. He said call customer service. I don't know who you are hiring at Fanco, but Weston needs to be educated on how to treat customers at the Ft. Apache location. We bought our fan 8 years ago and rant and raved to our friends and family on how great selection they have. NOW, please beware of this business. I will gladly take my 700 dollars to another competitors of theirs. If I decide to spend this much or even 50 dollars. I expect a level of respect for my wife and I. All you have to do is be a good person and find solutions. Even if it is not a good solution with empathy. Sold us several fans and fixtures 8 years ago! Still look and run like new! Staff always goes over and above to make sure we get the correct remotes (our Corgi chewed a few as a puppy). The owner mislead at the eastern store. we had a problem (?) with the controller operating the fan-it was hit or miss- we had to pay for the fan installation-he replaced the controller- but is still hit or miss- a conversation I had with him before today was that he would replace the fan if it was not working correctly. to day he would not saying that I would have to bring the fan in to be "TESTED". I'm 80+ years old. there for non place replacement. We bought 5 ceiling fans here and the sales staff were patient, knowledgeable, and professional. The buy one get one fan deal did not apply any of the fans we ordered, but we got free install two fans because we bought 5 (buy one get one on install). We actually had 6 fans but one fan was bought at a big box home improvement store. They charge more for each install! My wife kept watching prices because Fanco will price match 110%. We got money back on each fan! Jessie called me, I gave her my credit card over the phone and she issued us the refunds. Recently when the 3rd party light installers came , something happened with my GFI and the bathroom light wouldn't turn on. The light installers immediately owned the issue and said they would have an electrician come out asap to fix . The very next day the electrician came , had it fixed in 10 min. This place is a Joke. Don't waste your time. They are a warehouse that sells many brands and when something goes wrong they have no problem passing the buck. No accountability and there so called life time warranties they sell you on are a joke. Lifetime only on motor is what they need to say. The motor that will rarely if at all go out. The electronics internally that you can't get to are not covered. So be sure you will have to pay for bad remote/sensor/wall control..........funny how that works. When I bought these 700.00 each fans I was told not to worry if anything happens it has a lifetime warranty. Very glitchy fans light turns on randomly on one of them the other the remote sensor that is an internal part never worked. I called a asked they said over the phone don't worry it's covered. I didn't bother taking down right away because it's covered and I don't want to pay my electrician again to take it down and pay him again to put back. When I finally had my electrician come by about a year later had to pay for all repairs and deal with the worst costumer service. I admit I was being a bit rude and was pissed but instead of giving me a good explanation or trying to be understanding just got attitude from the manager of all people. Told me they are just a warehouse and I could call the fan manufacturer about the problems. So why did buy I from them when I could by direct from manufacture??!!! Not sure if this helps but if they are not honoring what they sell and are not helpful just get the name from fan you like and buy direct. The manager is horrible to deal with. Always acts like he is too busy to help you after the sale. Never received a receipt because their installer was delivering fan. Waited for a down rod to come in. The installer arrived and said they don't do electric. When we spoke with Weston / Mgr he said the electrician "Farmer" was on the invoice. When I reminded him they didn't give me a invoice he said he would call them. Their electrician arrived and said "I'm not sure why people go to fan co, they're so expensive and have horrible customer service". He tried to install fan but it still wobbles. Weston also claims he told us this but never did. We requested to return the fan and was told we couldn't because during installation their electrician cut the wires before hanging up on me. ***BUYER BEWARE*** Whatever you do, don't come to Fanco. They are full of liars, cheaters and poor customer service. Consider this a public service announcement of a bad company ripping off residents of Las Vegas. Do not come here and purchase a fan or fixture. The manager Jim is a crook and preys on the weak, but made a mistake by barking up the wrong tree. I purchased a fan on Saturday, had it installed by an electrician on Sunday and the fan did not operate. I called the Fanco management and explained that the fan did not work and I wanted to return or exchange it for an operable fan. They refused the return stating that I would have to speak with the manufacturer and once I left the store with the fan, it was no longer their problem. Keeping the story short, the manager threatened legal action against me when I told him that I would be contacting my credit card company to get the fan credited. I brought the fan back on Monday and there was no manager there, so I was able to return the fan for "diagnostics." I never heard from Fanco again until I received a threatening letter in the mail. To date, I have no fan and Fanco threatening to send me to collections and fighting the dispute with my credit card. They have the product and my money and are now literally trying to scam me out of $625. Steer clear of this place and go buy from a reputable business that is willing to back their products. The reason retail stores are dying are because of Managers like Jim that scam consumers and hide behind crappy policies, empty threats, and piss poor customer service. You won't win this battle Fanco or Jim. Remember, people expect good customer service and this problem could have been resolved with a simple solution of an exchange or refund. Instead, now you will fill out paperwork for 20 hours and have to answer every consumer protection agency. Keep mailing out your advertisements to my house. I am giving one star, just to give color to the review. As an update, I wrote my original review months ago! I never got the parts in the mail as promised, nor did I receive the $50 gift certificate via email or regular mail that was promised. What a disgraceful way to treat customers. I told the GM that I wanted to pass the gift card on to my electrician that spent hours at my house troubleshooting the problems incurred due to Fanco's inept customer service and nonexistent attention to detail. I bought the 3 fans in June, and now in August the installation is done. The fans are much more expensive than at other stores, but ithought I would get good service. I did not. Everything needs to be ordered, and is not in stock. When the installer came out, he fell off the ladder and broke a fan. So make sure you have homeowners insurance. The second installer's came in a van that leaked oil on my brick driveway. I have never paid a premium for such a bad experience. this is a high price/low quality business model. I was ill, so my husband went shopping without me. He bought four ceiling fans and three light fixtures (to attach to the ceiling fans), only one of which comes with a remote control. He spent well over $1400 -- and that does not include installation!! We had received several postcards from Fanco offering "pay for one installation, get one free." Of course we jumped on that offer. Fanco does not in fact perform ceiling fan installation. Instead, they subcontract installation to Lighting & Fan Installers, Inc. We paid them to install four ceiling fans, one of which quit working that same evening. As it turns out, that was due to improper wiring on the Builder's part. But, because L&FI was going to make a second visit to see what went wrong, we also hired them to install four dimmer switches. That is a service they offer, in addition to ceiling fan installation. They charge $18.75 per dimmer switch. Well, we paid them but they installed two of the four dimmer switches wrong: They put a triple-pull switch on a single pull; they put a single-pull switch on a quad; and installed the triple in the center when it must be installed at one end or the other. Also, they put a dimmer switch on the light fixture on the ceiling fan in my office but the lights didn't dim -- we didn't use "dimmable" light bulbs. I didn't know there was a differnce; apparently, they either didn't know or didn't care. We paid an actual Electrician to fix their muckup, so basically we paid twice! I'd give Fanco three stars (way too pricey) if it weren't for their choice of ceiling fan Installers. I'm knocking off one additional star because L&FI's Customer Service person Jill was hard to work with and the Installers are incompetent to do anything other than install ceiling fans. read more

During my previous visit there the guys helped me pick out my fans and a few simple lighting fixtures. For my next round of remodeling I needed help with my outdoor lighting and my kitchen. Let's just say that my kitchen was not bright, and that the outside of my house had more light coming from neighbors houses than my own. Jim gave me a complete drawing of what he felt would give me the look I was seeking, and even offered to meet with my designer to see what she thought about everything. I think she was more excited than I was, although I was really in love with what I was seeing. We did the remodel and it just looks fantastic!!! I was excited about that. After two trips made, out of my very busy schedule, plus hiring someone to take it down properly & bring to them, & many of my hours wasted - I am told they can't help me. They never once said they needed proof of purchase before. I brought them multiple receipts of my purchases, all made at the same time & they can't find my particular product on them. Their receipts are quite vague. What a scam to avoid honoring warranty as often as possible. Their tech confirmed my motor is shot. The tech I hired said the same. They kept pretending they just needed the model number, so after a potential third drive there, I ask if that is ALL they need & they said oh no, we won't help you at all until you find proof of purchase. I bought 6 items in my home from them & spent a LOT of money there. None of my receipts most this item? I wish I knew why. These were all together with my other home purchases. They don't deserve my business & will never get it again. Telling my real estate friends, those who just bought houses & all my Brother's home repair clients about the poor service. Home Depot has always backed the products they sell. I've had great experience with Wayfair also. I don't need stores like Fanco to waste more of my time. FANCO uses "Lighting and Fan Installers Inc" and they do not warranty their work and FANCO passes the buck! The installer of my expensive Fanimation Islander Fan (L&FI Inc) stripped the threads out in the motor side of the fan blade mounting screw hole and went on about their business. Months later the fan blade fell off while the fan was running landing on me in the middle of the night while I was sleep and then hit the floor damaging (gouging) my brand new wood floor! I tried to screw the blade back on but the threads were shot!! FANCO Tenaya (GM Jim) passed me off to Fanimation in Indiana and like a truly great Mid-West Company with great business ethics had me provide all paper work & pictures and without any question sent a brand new fan! CLASS ACT! FANCO would take NO responsibility because they didn't do the installation but they do use "Lighting & Fan Installers Inc" DAILY! The FANCO GM had told me to take it up with "Lighting and Fan Installers Inc!" I told him he referred them and I shouldn't be coming out of my pocket for this at all. He said "it's best you take it up with them!" (Jimbo had already called L&FI Inc I would later find out from L&FI Inc)! FANCO PASSED ME OFF TO FANIMATION! FANCO PASSED ME OF TO INSTALLLERS! FANCO WASHED THEIR HANDS OF ANY INVOLVEMENT! I called "Lighting and Fan Installers Inc" and the woman answering the phone was already aware as she admitted that GM Jimbo of FANCO called her earlier in the day (so she had all day to plan how she was going to dismiss me when I called! FANCO COMPLICIT)! She was rude, dismissive, wanted to control the conversation, constantly interrupted me, and took no responsibility for her installer damaging my fan. She blamed Fanimation assuming that a problem they knew about existed and that was why they sent a replacement motor (Not because Fanimation has a great reputation & business ethic)! While she blamed Fanimation I told her I have a 20 year old identical fan that I have had NO PROBLEMS with! So they have been making this identical fan for over 20 years and now they have a problem? NOT! L&FI Inc insisted it would be $99 if she sent someone out! "LIGHTING & FAN INSTALLERS INC" took NO RESPONSIBILITY! Typical! "Lighting and Fan Installers Inc DAMAGED MY BRAND NEW FAN AND DISMISSED ME and I had to hang up on the rude woman!" DO NOT USE FANCO's referral "LIGHTING & FAN INSTALLERS INC!" Instead get yourself a local handy man to do the job or DIY it's cheaper and you won't have to worry about anyone damaging your fan. I'm completely aware of how warranties work Jimbo! I am so frustrated to the point of anger so this post is hard to begin with an outraged shocked outcome but here it goes. We purchased 3 "expensive" ceiling fans $2400.00+ 1 year ago. we were told we had to use their "contracted installer" otherwise our warranty would be voided for parts etc. We paid the excessive price to have Fanco's contracted installer install our fans. We had to have 2 installers since one of the fans was being installed on a ceiling higher then 13', ok fine OSHA law. Fast forward to 3 months ago and the fan will not turn on, the light will not turn on. Up until that time the fan worked just fine. Our home is only 1.5 years old and all wiring up to code. We tried repeatedly to "reset" the fan based on Fanco's instructions fan would not come alive. Fanco told us they would not send someone to test the fan unless we pay for the "contracted installers" $130.00. They stated we needed to take the fan down ourselves disassemble it and take it into their store for them to look at it. Finally we did get up on a 12 foot ladder, took the fan down, NOT EASY as stated by several sales people at Fanco. Took the fan in, they said they fixed it come get your fan which we did, installed the fan and it still does not work!!!!! We are again told by Fanco we would have to pay their installer $130.00 to come out and look at the fan and if there is an "issue" with the wiring of our fan in our very expensive new home it could cost more for parts and repairs! This was not the first time I've purchase fans from Fanco but it will likely be the last. they can sell but there is no real responsibility or concern for unhappy customers. Maybe they sold out from the last fan i purchase 10+ years ago. I plan to share my VERY BAD EXPERIENCE with the manufacture of the fan REGENCY Ceiling Fans. I went into the store at Eastern & warm springs to return a lousy bulb worth $8 that did not work for my fixture. Less than a week since my purchase & they wouldn't budge, said they had a 3 day policy for it. I told them my electrician couldn't get out to me to install it within that time frame, they said it was store policy. I said I have never heard of a 3 day return policy. Jim, the store manager when on to explain the reason saying " The reason for the policy is that its possible that you could have used it a few days, that is why the policy is in place!" I went onto explain that it didn't fit my fixture. Like I would really want a bulb just to rip them off & borrow it for a few days! I have made fan purchases there before & will never return again. I purchased a fan from Fanco Eastern on October 27th 2016. The brand name is air ryder fan with florescent light and remote for $250. plus $150 to install. After 10 months the fan turned out to be defective. Since the warranty was still valid, I called the store and spoke with Jim Kloos, the manager. Jim told me that the fan is covered by the warranty however in order to remove it and bring it back to them it is gonna cost me $129 for the service. If I had known that the fan is made to last 10 months only, I surely would not have purchased it. I do not recommend Fanco to anyone. their products are cheap and they do not stand behind their products. Prior to writing the above review and during my conversation with Fanco, I have been told that the only thing Fanco can do for me is supply me with a part for the fan that looks like a wire, free of charge, that I will have to change myself. After I wrote the above review, I decided to accept the offer, therefore I went back to the store to pick up the part in question. I was met by Jim Kloos, the manager, who was very upset because of the review that I wrote, and he said that if I want the part promised I will have to pay for it, I said to him that I will not pay for anything from Fanco. Then he asked me to leave the store and never to put foot in the store again. Fanco needs to review their politics as well as be more selective in hiring their store managers After all, reviews are not meant to downgrade businesses but to help them improve their performance. read more

They would not let me return one after only 1 month when it stopped working. The general manager gave me the run-around for 1 month. Listen to the reviews, folks. This place is a dump and the merchandise is awful. Poor customer service and no desire to stand by their product. I spent hundreds on one of their brushless motor fans last year. Their installers hung it and it wasn't until a few months later we noticed that it is VERY loud on anything over the third speed setting. It also shakes on anything above that setting. Called Fanco and they said that we waited too long and there would be a fee for the installers to come and take the fan down to bring it to them. They said we could take it down and bring it ourselves but, naturally, we don't want to take the chance and ruin it even more. So the installers either did something wrong or the ridiculously expensive fan is defective and we're out money either way. Fanco is a disgusting business with NO customer service. read more

Well obviously the owners response is to this incident is very limited and is one sided. There is a motto that successful companies follow, "the customer is always right". This is where ownership and management fail. You see I called in advance searching for a solution. My fan downrod was too long. I was actually looking for an accessory for a shorter downrod. Since I called ahead and spoke to someone at Fanco , I explained in detail what my issue was. The Fanco rep then recommend that if I bring in the part , they can actually cut the downrod shorter. That was it. I thought what a wonderful Idea. My mistake was to have gone to the wrong store where I was encountered by their rude representative. It was his whole explanation was condescending and rude. The logic in why they wont help me made no sense. They made it seem more like , if you dont buy here, we wont help you. If it was such a big deal claiming liability , then say so during my initial call. Its called DISCLOSURE. It keeps any company out of trouble. This is where Fanco failed. If when I spoke to the Fanco rep that offered to cut the downrod for me and he disclosed that they only offer the service to their own products then I wouldn't be wasting my time here. I would have more respect for that, coming from Fanco than having me be treated like and Idiot after they screwed up. Even after all that , the right thing to do customer service wise would have to just do what they initially offered to do and know that next time they need to be carful what they offer with out disclosure. My bad I should have read the reviews before I did business with Fanco. I purchased an overpriced fan from Fanco that does not move air like a fan should. They recommend that I take the fan down and exchange it for another fan. Well at that point if I do that I will have to pay an electrician to take the fan down and reinstall another fan. If I do that I will be into this project $300 for an overpriced fan that originally cost me $125.00. My Lowes fan in my office will blow the papers off my desk. And my Lowes fan only cost me $80.00. Stay away from Fanco because they do not have a return policy like Lowes or Home Depot. read more
