We adopted our bebes at their petsmart cat fair in fair lakes shopping area! It was a 1.5 hr process and very smooth~ They also gave us coupons to help jump start with buying pet supplies, which was very kind. Audrey, who was their foster, was so informative of their personalities and really sold us on bringing them home As long as all the paperwork is in order it'll be a breeze~

Two adopted kittens from fancy cats. Best friends and sisters.

We adopted a wonderful pair of kittens. We already have two older cats so they have a smart policy of adopting kittens out in pairs if they won't have a playmate at home. Two kittens can play and teach each other without bothering the other cats. What a great idea. The kittens were already very well socialized and their foster mom was wonderful to meet. We still keep in contact with her and share photos of the wonderful kittens she raised. I'm so glad there are rescue orgs like fancy cats out there trying to help reduce the stray population and find homes for animals in need.

Fancy Cats and their network of volunteers and fosters are amazing and we are lucky to have them at the service of the many cats in our region in search of their forever homes. The Fancy Cat volunteers work around the clock calling and emailing well past traditional 'work' hours. They never turn their backs on finding homes for even the most challenging of cats. Maggie is 16 years old, well cared for through their network of fosters and exactly as described. Maggie is my second senior cat adoption and count her as a success story. Thank you Fancy Cats!!! Highly recommend!!

Just toured giving tree today as my dog got evaluated. Evaluation comes with a free half day of…read moredaycare. Monday through Friday they're open 7am to 7pm. Weekends are currently 8am to 5pm, although they are looking to extend hours to 6pm. Nap time every day is 12-2pm. It's a 12,000+ square foot facility (it used to be the Future Business Leaders of America building) near reston towne center. They started just 5 weeks ago with 5 dogs, and today my dog became #70! While my dog was getting evaluated, the owner, Yong, gave me a tour of the whole place. They have multiple different rooms based on size of dog. They also have an agility training room. They use the GingrApp online portal for booking and records management. Floors are an epoxy resin for easy cleanup and also grip for the dogs' paws. The only downside is that they don't have live feeds for you to watch your dog, and I love spying on my pup while I'm working. Also, while they do have an outdoor space that's a half acre, it won't be open until they get their permit to build a 6' wall (at the moment it's just a decorative boundary-type brick wall that's like 1.5' tall). So for right now it is indoors only, with an outdoor area for potty breaks only. They have referral bonuses at the moment. If you are the referred, you get a free half day(?) of daycare. If you are the referrer, you get a free forest walk. The "comfort" boarding option is just a standard wire crate. Forest view is a kennel with an outside view. Presidential suite is an 8x8 room with a tv that up ur dog can watch. All boarding comes with daycare. I can't remember if it was just the presidential suite or if it's all of them, but it also comes with 2 forest walks. The "day camp" options you see in the menu are add ons to the regular daycare day. They do also offer cat boarding. It's a room with cat trees and cat condos for them to hang out in. Large and clean and friendly facility. They also offer grooming on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I think I'll be adding Giving Tree to my rotation of daycares!

Looking for a new groomer as the previous one left an inch-long abrasion on my dog's face and then…read moredenied it. I called Fur Factory and mentioned that I just need a cut as I typically bathe my dog and comb her out right before bringing her in. She is tiny and doesn't do well with industrial size blow dryers. I let her know that I prefer to come first thing in the day if possible and wait for her as opposed to crating her. This has never been a problem with any groomer (they call it a straight-through) and I did this with my last dog over the course of 15 years (sadly, that groomer retired). At first she said I could bring her in first or last thing in the day and I said sure, I'd be glad to do that. Then all of the sudden, she did an about face and turned me away and said her grooming facility would not be a good environment for my dog because they are so busy and there is always too much going on lately. She said her groomer has too much on her plate or something to that effect and then discussed her own health issues, which I tried to sympathize with but she kept talking over me. I tried to explain that my dog loves people and she would not be a problem, but the woman kept talking so fast and continued talking over me. As I was trying to get a word in and let her know how she was coming across, she just hung up on me. I feel for anyone with a medical condition however I have never been treated so rudely by what is supposed to be a professional business. No potential customer deserves that. My dog is a very sweet small dog who loves people so I don't understand the immediate judgement from someone who doesn't even know my dog. It made me feel just awful. Based on the conversation first thing in the morning that left me feeling disrespected, unheard, dismayed, and disheartened, and the judgement she made on my sweet little girl, I would not recommend them at all. It was such an awful experience and left me quite unnerved. I've never encountered anything like it. Something appears to be going on there. They may have been good at one point but to me it now seems like they have too much going and do not care about getting new customers, treating people with respect, and in fact turn them away.

Everything! Making the appointment was super easy, and they did a fantastic job on our little dog!read more
